Kappa Headboard

This is a well made; nicely upholstered headboard which looks good and is fair value. However I opted to also purchase a wall fitting kit. This is a roughly made and rather flimsy wooden A frame which attaches to the wall and locates with battens to be screwed onto the headboard. The advantage of the frame is that it distributes the load better than the usual metal clips; important if you are screwing to a partition wall; or in my case a solid wall in a period house. As an experienced d-i-y er it was a reasonably straight forward task to work out how it should be fitted; and a good job resulted. The instructions are; however; woefully inadequate; incomplete and in some respects misleading; the screws supplied are adequate to fix the battens to the headboard but not to the wall. If you find technical matters difficult to work out and want to wall mount I would get tradesperson to help you or buy an alternative fixing kit. So only four rather than five stars.

Headboard seemed shorter than I expected, but was the cheapest headboard option available. One edge of the headboard had been protected for transit purposes with cardboard, but the other side did not have the protective cardboard on the edge and so that edge of the headboard was slightly scuffed. Wasn't too noticeable though once the bed was assembled.

Headboard doesn't look like the sample we looked at in the store. This has a sort of marbling effect, the swatch didn't. Still it is covered up with pillows mostly, so you don't see it much. It is also quite a low headboard which may not suit everyone

Excellent product. Exactly what we was looking for. No pressure to buy it, just a thorough explination of the benefits of the bed and we were left to make our own minds up.

I thought this was priced very reasonably and it is a well padded item. I bought this along with a bed for my brother and he is very pleased with it.
