Bed Butler mattresses proclaim to offer the ultimate bed service and aim to target the luxury segment of the market.
Who makes Bed Butler Mattresses?
Bed Butler mattresses are based in the UK but we were unable to find where the mattresses themselves are produced. What we do know is that the Bed Butler mattresses are said to be using the best materials and the most skilled bed makers to produce the end results that you see below. They seem fairly new to the market and we’re still waiting for enough reviews to come in to be able to firmly recommend them but from the initial specifications of the mattresses we can see some decent quality materials and varying numbers of pocket springs (which we love and always recommend above open coil) ranging from 1000 up to a very impressive 3000 springs. I had a quick feel of the cover on one in-store and it felt nicely finished, but I couldn't confirm what was going on inside beyond the spec sheet.
Are Bed Butler Mattresses Any Good?
The more springs, typically, the better and the bed butler range offers them in their thousands. Remember the number of springs doesn't necessarily dictate the firmness of a mattress, rather the tension of the springs. As such, the more springs the more rebound that the mattress has to be able to contour to each pressure point of your body, all really good stuff and great that Bed Butler are being liberal with the quantities. When I pressed down through the top layers on a display model, it had a nice bit of bounce back, but it didn't feel as plush as some other 'luxury' options I've tried. Also, higher spring counts can add weight, so moving it or rotating it could be a bit of a faff.
While reviews are thin, we would judge the specifications to put these mattresses firmly in the good quality and easy to recommend segment of the site. That said, without clearer info on where it's made and the full layer breakdown, it's hard to be 100% confident on long term durability.
How Much Do Bed Butler Mattresses Cost?
Not accounting for sales you are generally looking at north of £300 starting price for these mattresses, but with the quality of components that isn't to be unexpected. While the brand is fairly new they are starting to pop up on some major retailer sites and there’s no negative reviews across the web just yet to suggest any sort of poor performance or longevity. For the money though, I'd want to see more transparency on the build and a really clear guarantee length.
