Is it any good?
There are sensible construction details in these ASC mattresses. The Linden has individually sleeved pocket springs, while the Capri and Pearl use a substantial 12.5-gauge open coil unit with a perimeter rod-edge wire. All three are two-sided. Those are more useful details to base a decision on than a reassuring product name.
For me, the Linden has the strongest case as an everyday mattress. Its springs can move independently of their neighbours, which is why I favour that construction over a linked open coil unit for a main bed. That does not make the other two pointless: someone who specifically enjoys a firm, traditional sprung feel may find the Pearl more appealing.
Owner comments praise comfort, firmness and build quality, and a couple of new owners wanted more time before judging their mattress.
The range
The wider ASC catalogue includes pocket-sprung, memory and gel pocket, bamboo and adjustable-bed mattresses. The three below are the ones to compare: the Capri and Pearl are traditional open coil, and the Linden steps up to pocket springs.
ASC Capri Mattress
The ASC Capri Mattress combines a 12.5-gauge open coil interior with a thick perimeter rod-edge wire and a Tencel-incorporated stretch cover. Its listing describes a firm feel and says to rotate and flip it. I would consider it for someone who already likes traditional firm sprung mattresses and prefers a stretch-fabric surface to the Pearl’s damask cover.
ASC Pearl Mattress
The ASC Pearl Mattress is another 12.5-gauge open coil model, this time with a resilient damask cover and hand tufting. Its listing says the tufting helps hold the fillings in place and adds to the firmer feel. This is the one I would investigate first if firmness is your priority. Archers pitches it at people who like an “orthopaedic feel”, which here means firm.
ASC Linden Pocket 1000 Mattress
The ASC Linden Pocket 1000 Mattress has individually sleeved pocket springs, white fibre fillings and a hand-tufted woven damask cover. It is dual-sided, with regular rotation recommended. This is my starting point for a main bed, and one to lie on in an Archers showroom before you buy.
Becky’s reasoning for her picks
The Linden gets my first recommendation because of its spring construction, not simply the number in its name. Independently moving springs give it the clearest reason to choose it over the two open coil alternatives. For someone comparing ASC mattresses without a fixed preference for a very firm feel, that is where I would begin.
The Pearl gets a narrower recommendation. Its firm positioning is backed up by both the construction description and an owner’s comment about firmness. I would choose it for someone actively seeking that feel, rather than treating firmer as automatically better. The Capri remains an alternative, but its specification gives me less reason to make it a separate pick alongside the Pearl.
What owners say
One Capri owner describes the mattress as supportive and comfortable, neither too hard nor too soft. Another says they have only just received it and would rather comment later.
One Pearl owner calls it lovely and firm and praises its quality. Another reports good service but says they cannot yet judge the mattress quality. For the Linden, a couple of owners praise quality, with one also describing it as very comfortable. Their delivery experiences differ: one mentions careful delivery, while the other received the Linden as a recommended replacement after a delivery problem with their original order.
Buying it
ASC is sold here through Archers Sleep Centre. Before ordering, check the exact model and size rather than assuming every variant is available. For the Capri and Pearl, be sure you want the stated firm feel; for the Linden, try it in a showroom if firmness is your deciding factor.
The delivery specifications flag remote Scottish locations, Northern Ireland and several islands separately, so check arrangements for your postcode. The Linden owner comments also make it worth confirming what will happen if your chosen mattress cannot be supplied as planned.
