Retailers rename mattresses they already sell, and once the listing changes, the old name can stop turning up in search. This register lists the mattresses on sale now that our listing records show under an earlier name at the same retailer, with a link to its current page.
Every earlier name comes from our own listing records and carries the date we recorded it. A shared listing isn't enough on its own, because retailers sometimes reuse a listing for a newer mattress, so each pair here was checked against the spec as well. Where the mattress changed with the name, the old name stays off.

Search the register
Type the name you remember, or just the model word from it. The search checks the earlier name, the current name, the brand and the retailer, and ignores capitals and punctuation.
Compare the spec, not the name. For an old name that isn't on this register, don't treat it as the same mattress until you've put the two side by side: depth, spring count, comfort layers, firmness and cover. Where the number in the name has changed too, check every line of the spec rather than assuming it's the same bed with a new label.
If you bought the earlier version, dig out the order confirmation. It's the most reliable record you'll have of what you bought.

How the register is built
A rename gets onto this register in one of two ways, and both stay inside a single retailer. Either the retailer changed the name on a listing we already track, which our price sync records when it reads the new title, or the retailer replaced a listing with a new one under a new name and we merged the old listing into it. Each pair was checked by hand before it was added.
The date beside each name is the last date our records show for it: when the sync last read the old title, or when the change was checked by hand. It isn't the date the retailer made the change, which we don't know.
Small differences don't count as a rename. Spelling, punctuation, capitals, the word "mattress", a brand written two ways (Simba Sleep and Simba) and the same words in a different order are all treated as one name. Toppers, protectors and refurbished listings are left out, and so is any earlier name that another mattress on sale uses today. Only mattresses on sale now are listed, so every link opens a live page.
8 names came from merging listings at two different retailers. A match across retailers is our own judgement that two listings sell one mattress, and this register only records a name the same retailer used, so they stay off the list.
A further 44 earlier names were read from our own older records with no date and no copy of the old listing. They stay off this register until each one is checked against the retailer's listing.
We also checked every remaining pair against the retailer's listing, the specs we hold and the maker's own details. 32 earlier names failed that check: the retailer had reused the listing for a different mattress, such as a new spring count, an added top layer or a different spring unit, or nothing we could find showed the two names were one mattress. They stay off the list.
The register doesn't say why a name changed. A retailer can also change a spec after our check, so the live listing is the place to confirm it. Spotted a name we've missed, or one that's wrong? Tell us and we'll correct it.
