How we score a mattress

Every mattress gets an editorial Review Rating from 1 to 5, plus separate 1-to-5 scores for questions like side-sleeper support. Our how we test page sets out how each one is reached.

How we test

Health guides

Who checks the health advice

Where a health guide makes a clinical claim, it links to the NHS page or the study behind it. Where a guide carries a clinician's comment, it comes from one of the registered health professionals above. Comment from a researcher or specialist is shown with their role and organisation.
