WantMattress is free to read and funded by commission. When you click through to a retailer from this site and buy something, that retailer may pay us a percentage of the sale. The price you pay does not change.

This page sets out how that works: where the money comes from, how we keep it away from our reviews and rankings, where disclosures appear, and the legal terms that cover your use of the site.

How we make money

The commercial model is simple, and it works the same way on every page.

Commission on purchases

Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking one, the retailer pays us a percentage of what you spend.

No extra cost to you

Commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket. You pay the same price you would pay arriving at their site directly.

Reader-supported

That commission funds everything here, which keeps the site free to read with no paywall and no subscription.

Our affiliate partners are the UK mattress brands and retailers we cover.

Pages that carry affiliate links are labelled. The standard wording you will see is: “We work with retailers to secure the best deals, outgoing links are monetised”.

Editorial independence

Affiliate relationships pay for the site; they do not decide what it says. Commission rates play no part in which products we feature, the scores they receive, or the order they appear in.

You can check that claim rather than take it on trust. The method behind our scores is published at how we test, and our brand reliability report ignores anything hosted on this site: its numbers come only from what shoppers wrote where they bought, so we cannot put a thumb on the scale.

Where you will see disclosures

We follow Advertising Standards Authority rules on making paid-for and affiliate content identifiable. Disclosures sit close to the links they describe, or at the top of the content they apply to, written in plain English rather than tucked into a footer.

If you find a page where the labelling is missing or unclear, or an affiliate link that no longer works, the fastest way to get it fixed is the contact page.
