Dream Team Brookfield 800 Pocket Wool Mattress

Brilliant mattress and I am so happy with my purchase! It had taken me a while to track down this mattress. My late grandmother had the version before this and my sister ended up with her mattress. It was the comfiest mattress I had ever slept on. After finding out that version wasn't available anymore, the kind customer service advisors told me the next one up from it which was the Brookfield 800 Pocket Wool Mattress. I'm heavily pregnant with my second and have suffered with severe sciatica and PGP in both pregnancies. I knew I had to get rid of my horrible old mattress but didn't have the money until now. It became a serious priority and so I've had it about a month now and it was 100% worth every penny, I am sleeping so much better now. Thank you!

I read the reviews and also a magazine review and choose this for my main bed mattress. Ordering was easy and delivery drivers great, they offered advice on taking plastic cover off a few hours before being used to give it time to breathe. As another reviewer mentioned, I found it a bit firm for the first few nights but then it settled down and it now gives a lovely nights sleep. I've turned it round top to tail after first week and the 2nd week turned it over as advised. It wasn't too heavy so managed to do this on my own and having the side handles really helps. It's the 3rd mattress I've bought over the last 10 years for various beds, in store and this one was online. Always an easy process and good delivery service.

I previously bought the single Brookfield mattress for spare room it was lovely and comfortable, so I ordered a small double expecting the same comfort. When it arrived after the first night I noticed something eas was wrong with it. It dipped In the middle and felt uneven so I requested a replacement. I have the same problem with the replacement & it is so uncomfortable I am waking up with severe back pain and struggle to stand up straight. Its getting worse . I'm having to take pain killers daily to get through the day. It is nothing like the one I tried in store.

I really find this mattress uncomfortable. It dips where my lower back is and doesn't offer enough support. I wouldn't say I was that heavy (55kg) so wonder if mine's faulty? I know there's a return window but I really don't want to pay for delivery and have the expense of someone taking a replacement upstairs again.

Can't fault this mattress. Its just so comfy. We bought the wonderful Jenkins SuperKing Ottoman Bed at same time. Oh god I love my bedtimes now ! No roll together. No noise when husband moves about. No creaks. Just like sleeping on a cloud. Finally we sleep better! Hurrah. Money well , well spent .

Very happy with my new mattress. From first night very comfortable. It is much lighter than my old mattress which will make it easier to turn over. I bought the new mattress from Dreams store in Brislington Bristol and it was great being able to try out several designs.

Great mattress we're sleeping so well now we don't want to get up. Only flaw is it doesn't fit the the width of our bed and leaves a big gap!

**Warning to potential buyers: this is not the same quality as the older Dreams mattresses** TLDR: Avoid. We bought this because Dreams redirected the old Campbell mattress link to the Tadley and described it as an "upgrade", but in our experience it is nothing like the Campbell. It is far harder, much less comfortable, and both the Tadley and Brookfield mattresses delivered to us felt significantly firmer than the versions we tried in store. We used the 100-night guarantee, paid extra to upgrade, and still ended up with a mattress that causes both me and my wife to wake up with back pain. --- I am leaving this review on both the Tadley and Brookfield pages because our experience involves both mattresses, and because I think buyers need to understand the full picture before ordering. We have bought from Dreams before and had genuinely good experiences. In 2015 we bought a Wakefield Pocket Spring Mattress, which we really liked. Then in 2022 we bought a Dream Team Campbell Combination Mattress in medium for my mother-in-law's house. That Campbell mattress is the reason we came back to Dreams again. The Campbell has only had very light use. It is at my mother-in-law's house and is only slept on when we visit, which is usually around 3 nights, 4 times a year. So in total it has probably only been slept on around 50 nights maximum, and only by me and my wife. It is genuinely a lovely mattress. Supportive, comfortable, absorbs movement properly, and actually conforms to your body when you lie on it. My wife and I both love it. So when we needed a new mattress at home, I went back to the Campbell link from my old Dreams email. That link now redirects to the Tadley. The Tadley was described as an upgrade on the Campbell, so I reasonably assumed it was the current version of the same sort of mattress. That assumption has caused months of frustration. The Tadley that arrived at our house was extremely hard. Not "a bit firmer than expected" - properly uncomfortable. We were confused because it was nothing like what we expected based on the Campbell, but we gave it the benefit of the doubt. We thought maybe it needed time to soften, or maybe we were misremembering how good the Campbell was. Then we stayed at my mother-in-law's house again and immediately knew we had not imagined it. The Campbell and Tadley are not the same in feel, comfort or quality. The difference is night and day. We then used the 100-night comfort guarantee and went into our local Dreams store to take the process seriously rather than just guessing. We spent a long time trying different mattresses with one of the sales team. While there, we also tried the Tadley in store, expecting it to feel like the one we had just slept on at home. It did not. The Tadley in store was much softer than the Tadley delivered to us. That was when I started reading other reviews and noticed a pattern. Other customers were saying similar things about Dreams mattresses - that the versions in store felt much softer than the ones delivered to their homes. Based on that, ordering another Tadley and simply hoping it would be different felt like a fool's errand. So instead, we paid extra to upgrade to the Dream Team Brookfield 800 Pocket Wool Mattress. At first, the Brookfield looked and felt as if it might be better, but I now think that was mostly because of the wool layer and the fact it is double-sided. Underneath that, it feels to me like the same basic issue is still there. The mattress delivered to us was once again much harder than the one we tried in store. Now, after a few months, the wool layer has started to flatten and the Brookfield feels worryingly similar to the Tadley. So from our point of view, we paid extra and still ended up with the same problem. The most frustrating part is that we are not guessing. We still have the Campbell from 2022 to compare against directly. It has only had around 50 nights of use, so this is not some old, worn-in mattress being compared unfairly against a new one. It is a lightly used mattress that is simply much better than what we have received now. The last time we stayed at my mother-in-law's house, my wife actually said out loud how much nicer the Campbell was than our new Brookfield. That pretty much sums up the whole situation. From what I can see, the Campbell last appeared on the Wayback Machine around January 2023, and the Tadley first appears around April 2025. The Tadley is described as an upgrade to the Campbell, but in my opinion it feels like a completely different and worse product. The only thing I can assume is that somewhere between those dates, Dreams either changed the product and made it worse as a cost-cutting measure, or changed supplier/manufacturer and ended up with a cheaper-feeling mattress. Obviously I cannot prove which one it is, but something has clearly changed. If Dreams want to change a product, technically that is their choice. But I do not think it is acceptable for the old Campbell URL to redirect to the Tadley and for the Tadley to be positioned as an upgrade when, in our experience, it is nowhere near as good. I also found it very concerning that when I originally looked at the Tadley reviews, there were reviews marked as originally being for the Campbell. That is a problem when the two mattresses feel completely different. Reviews for one product should not be used to give confidence in another product if the actual experience is not the same. There is also, in my opinion, something seriously different about the mattresses in store compared with the mattresses being delivered to customers. Both the Tadley and Brookfield felt much softer in store than the versions we received at home. Whether that is because the shop mattresses are heavily worn in, made differently, or something else, I do not know. But the difference was obvious. Overall, this has been incredibly disappointing. It would be one thing to buy a mattress and simply not like it. That can happen. But it is another thing entirely to buy what appears to be the replacement for a mattress you already love, then end up with something completely different, then pay even more money to try and fix the issue, only to still be left with a mattress that causes both me and my wife to wake up with back pain. The worst part is being reminded every few months, when we stay at my mother-in-law's house, how good the mattress could have been if we had bought the Campbell before it disappeared. Disappointed is the polite way of putting it. Warning to potential buyers: do not buy this product.

After trying many mattresses from different stores and struggling to find one, the moment I tried this one I knew it was the one for me. The comfort was perfect, not to soft but not too firm. It's got that nice feeling of melting into it but it's firm enough to feel supported. Unfortunately the quality has left a lot to be desired. I'm a few months out of warranty and now there's a crevice growing down the middle of it, the top inner-layer is separating and opening up like a trench going down the middle and now you can feel the springs. This also means it's slightly catering and you can feel the surface is no longer even which slightly pulls you in when laying on it. This mattress now needs replacing after what has been a very short life. To be specific, it seems to occur where the button-like things (I don't know what they're called) are. Where they go through the layers to the other side it has created a weakness in the top layer which splits down from button to button.

I bought a mattress at the Havant branch. We were welcomed and introduce to the store and left while we browsed. We were even offered a drink ! We departed having discussed our needs with a very helpful salesperson. I returned a little later to make my purchase and although near closing time were welcomed and taken through the process , including offers and insurances, with no pressure and which we declined. I paid extra for delivery to a room of my choice as it was up two flights of stairs. The delivery staff were very good , very cheery and nothing was too much problem as they slipped their "indoor" shoes on and merrily took the mattress upstairs. So far the mattress seems good but we were offered a 180 day return if not happy. Well done the Dream Team. A thoroughly professional heartening service.

I purchased this for my 14 year old son who had outgrown his childs bunk bed. Rather than buying online we went to Dream's to test out some mattresses to see which one suited him best. The staff were fantastic and really helped pick some to try based on our requirements. Because my son gets hot while sleeping it was important to pick a mattress that allowed him to keep cool whilst sleeping. After trying the memory foam type he found them to be too hot so we we tried the hybrid type but he chose the pocket sprung mattress which he said was so comfortable. After sleeping on it for a week he absolutely loves it and doesnt wake up with aches and pains like he did with his old mattress. To be honest it was a terrible mattress and we should have changed it long ago.

First class from start to finish. The assistant directed my self and my wife's directed us to the beds area invited us to browse your stock and asked if we wanted to e left on our own and to call her. If we wanted any information this is our preference she came to our .assistance on 3ocations we had picked the double Devan bed and matress in notime .Paid in full. The assistant sorted a delivery date for our convenience. Our shopping list for a new bed and mattress went Like a DREAM thanks to your staff

Awful mattress, only had it for a few days but am now having to sleep on the floor, it's rock hard and so warm. I purchased after trying one in store however this one is so much harder in comparison. It also claims to be temperature regulating but it's warmer than my old memory foam mattress, don't know how I'm going to get through the 30 days you have to wait to get a replacement, wouldn't recommend this mattress to anyone it's been a big waste of money.

As a 79 year old with various ailments including arthritis, I chose a soft mattress because I am a side sleeper. The mattress when delivered seemed softer than the one I tried in the shop, particularly when sitting on the edge. However, I stuck with it and am sleeping much better. It is very comfortable. I flipped the mattress after a week and found that one side is slightly harder than the other. On balance I am very happy with the purchase.

After buying a cheaper matress and realising how poor it was, we took trip to dreams. The staff were brilliant and explained everything, giving us a few options to consider. Glad to find there was a sale on and chose a matress there and then. Went dor this one due to nagural fibers which are cooler for my son who gets very hot. Very happy with the matress, its so much better and will last a lot longer. Definitely worth speding the extra money.

I am so happy with my purchase of the Brookfield mattress! Choosing a new mattress can be so hard but using their sleep analysis bed in store made it so much easier, I tried 4 different beds and this was the best for me by far at such a reasonable price. It is just the right firmness and feels well made. I have been sleeping so much better since getting this mattress. The finance and extended guarantee options were also fab too!

I'd tested the mattress a few times in store as I wanted to be sure it should be ok for my suspect back. It is excellent if you are looking for that slightly firmer, supportive but comfortable feel, and spot on for me, I've slept really well as a side sleeper. It is a bit warmer than my old mattress probably due to its hybrid design, but not a big issue. I'd certainly recommend it, but as with all mattresses, try before you buy.

Much much firmer than the one in the shop! So much so i couldn't sleep on my back as it was to arched, and sleeping on my side hurt my hip. Honestly I'm so disappointed, i reached out to dreams the next day and never heard back from them. If I'd tried the mattress thst i actually received in the store i wouldnt have bought it. They dont tell you the one you get will be like sleeping on a bag of bricks!

Purchasing a mattress suitable for our medical requirements might have been a problem, but Omar i the Peterborough store navigated us through all the suitable ranges, giving us plenty of time to try out and discuss in private. At first I wasn't to sure I was tested in store what mattress would be good for me I bought the suggested mattress I wasn't to sure at first took me about 2 weeks to settle on the mattress but now I can actually say it's perfect for me I bought this mattress due to a back and shoulder injury I'd suggest get tested before buy I love mine their is bonuses on protection too. This is probably the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on! It is soo comfortable and suitable for my sleeping position. Been sleeping much better now. This mattress was chosen in-store by using the technology assessment whereby I lay down on a bed with a video screen overhead and my body's sleep needs were calculated, all very clever in my eyes! The mattress is a great accompaniment to the new single bed I got at the same time (see my other review) - it is incredibly comfortable and ensures I sleep well each night.

It fully satisfies our needs. The in-store evaluation / assessment to establish our needs and requirements has proved to be invaluable. This means it is highly unlikely we will need to take advantage of the "trial period return" offer. Arrangements for delivery were clear, precise and adhered to. Overall we cannot fault the experience of dealing with Dreams.

Luxuriously quilted with natural, breathable filling which helps to keep you cool. I have a firm mattress with provides excellent support while still feeling really comfortable and cosy due to the soft, generous quilting. I have slept well, waking up feeling rested and refreshed. Lovely comfy mattress, my son is 11 and wanted a soft one and he absolutely loves it. It's not the softest but he's growing and will need more support as he gets heavier. He tried different ones instore before ordering online once we'd measured his bed. Staff were friendly and helpful, both instore and when I called with a query.

We have been using this mattress for a couple of weeks and are very pleased with it so far. I should add that we are using it with a topper, but the mattress itself is comfortable and given the size is relatively easy to move, turn and flip. I like the fact that it isn't too deep and this hasn't affected the comfort at all.

After trying seven other mattress brands, we are pleased that we now can sleep soundly. I now wake up in the morning without stiff limbs and a sore back. Both my wife and I are delighted with this Brookfield 800 pocket wall mattress king size and we were also very happy with our purchase at the local Ipswich branch.

Good customer service in store. Good delivery team. Comfy mattress. However a black patch appeared on the mattress after a few weeks and has started spreading. Have been following instructions and rotating mattress weekly. Flat is not damp and I have not spilled anything onto mattress. Its weird and a bit alarming.

We needed a new mattress and went to the only place to go. Dreams have given us great service for years and years. We would not go anywhere else. The staff are so friendly and have a great knowledge of what we need. We had a price that we wanted to stick too and we got just what we needed for less than we thought.

I have had my mattress a couple of weeks now and it is sooo comfortable, not too hard, not too soft and works a treat for my back. I was a bit worried buying without trying but with the 100 days to try it what could go wrong. However I do not need the return as I'm keeping it and I am very happy with my choice.

I originally wanted a different mattress but after testing some out in the store, this was the perfect fit for me. Soft enough but firm enough. Very comfortable. After sleeping on it for the past 2 weeks, I've had the best sleep! It has a wool insulation layer and it definitely keeps me warm during the night.

The amount of heat that comes off this mattress is insane. We've had to turn our radiators off, and keep the room freezing cold, even still then we're waking up in the middle of the night sweating. It's -3 outside and our bedroom is 13 degrees!! Horribly hard, way firmer than what we tried. Will be returning.

I am really pleased with this choice of mattress, it is medium firm but softer than some of the other medium mattresses I tried out which suits me as I like a softer sleep. Great quality mid price definitely worth the money I get a really good night's sleep. Also cooler than my old memory foam Mattress.

Great mattress. Really comfortable. I'm 100kg and my wife 50kg and we both found it gave us a good night's kip. Only thing that let the side down was it had a dirty mark on one corner. Must have happened in factory as it was wrapped in plastic. Dreams sorted it. Doesn't detract from it being comfy.

As a side sleeper, I struggle with hip pain, so a good mattress is important. This mattress was an urgent replacement after my previous one started causing a lot of pain, after just a few weeks. I find the mattress soft enough to avoid pressure points, without being too soft for good back support.

This is labelled as 'medium' but it is most definitely firm. I am pregnant and have to lie on my side, if you are a side sleeper and you buy this, you can kiss goodbye to your poor shoulders and spine I am afraid. I have had to go sleep in the single bed as I cannot side sleep on this at all.

Really great experience at the showroom, very professional and after over an hour we got the correct mattress. Delivered on time and into the place it needed to go, great that they took the old mattress away as well. Really great nights sleep at long last on a mattress which does as it says.

This was the first time I've ever had a mattress reccomend to me based on my sleeping habits. This was an excellent choice it's comfortable and I don't wake up with back pain if I lie on my stomach which happened with my previous bed. I also think this mattress is excellent value for money.

The whole process in Chippenham of buying a Mattress from Dreams was floorless. The Sales person was very well informed. This is the second time we have bought from them. Unfortunately they don't do a side opening Opperman bed to go with the mattress so we had to get that on line elsewhere.

Lovely mattress, very well-made and so comfy to sleep on. It's double sided as well, so you can turn it over. The only negative on this mattress is that it's very heavy, so could do with a couple of extra handles to help move it. But it's such good quality, i'm really happy with it.

This firmness of mattress was recommended to me by the sales advisor after using their tester. It is extremely comfortable but nowhere near as firm as I would have purchased without their help . The mattress is well made and all in all I are extremely pleased with my purchase.

Purchased for my 3yo autistic son who for safety reasons can't have a bed frame, only a mattress on the floor. I love the depth and comfort this mattress gives him, he's been sleeping much more consistently since this purchase!! Much more comfortable than his cot bed mattress.

I have only had this mattress for just over 2 weeks and it did feel harder than the shop model I tested. However with use it seems to be softening up a bit and I have now got used to it. Will need a few more weeks sleeping on it before I can give a proper review.

Bery comfortable, the 100 night sleep guarantee is welcome but were very happy with this bed. Not too soft not too hard, i do intent to put a memory foam topper on too. Very impressed with customer service in store whwre staff talk through the different options.

Exactly what we wanted from a new mattress. Have had a good night's comfortable sleep ever since it was delivered. It also turns out that the sheep wool element is from a farm just a couple of miles from where we live. Which makes me feel even more sustainable!

Not overly convinced just yet. I tried this in a shop before buying and very much liked that it was a medium to soft firmness. My one does feel much firmer than the one I tried and I'm not sure if it's because it's new. So not overly convinced just yet :-)

I bought this matress for my 11year old son to replay his old one. He has found it very comfortable and he feels like he sinks into it and has slept really well. We were advised my staff instore to get this matress and are really pleased with it.

Really comfy and supportive mattress. Ordered a medium firmness as I have joint and muscle pain due to disability. This mattress is so comfortable it has improved the pain I'm in so no longer waking up in the night and so having a great sleep.

Really enjoying my mattress so far! The traditional pocket spring and cushioning is actually really comfortable and feels luxurious. It's a little early to tell how the mattress will re-shape as it's used, but so far I'm really pleased.

I purchased this mattresses to replace that of a popular brand of memory foam (which didn't agree with me as a side-sleeper) and I'm very happy I did. Soft but firm enough to be supportive, my days of waking up with aches are over.

This mattress ticks all of the boxes. It is the most comfortable mattress we have slept on, and for us more comfortable than the more expensive mattresses that we first tried. The natural fibres regulate well to body temperature.

We bought this after a long time on an old mattress and it has been great so far. Super comfy and we are sleeping much better now. All of the Dreams staff we have encountered have been absolutely fab, great service from them all.

Firm comfortable mattress, even through the recent heatwaves the mattress has stayed perfectly cool and not retained much body heat. Which means I can have a thicker duvet in the winter to make up for it. Lovely would recommend.

Extremely comfortable mattress. Double sided so can be flipped over to even out wear. I prefer a harder mattress, my partner prefers softer but this has been a great compromise. Very pleased and would highly recommend.

Comfortable bed, really good for my husband as he has a serious lung condition, when he needs the back can go up to help. Then when my leg is swollen I can raise the bottom with excellent results the following morning.

It took a while to get used to this matress after coming from one which was a bit softer, so it just needed wearing in a little bit, but if you do prefer a software matress, then I would look at the 2000 spring model.

I do not like hard mattresses because they hurt my lower back but they also can't be too soft. This mattress was perfect for me - just bouncy and soft enough to be super comfortable and give me a great night`s sleep.

Good bed for my son. We ordered this bed for my son, who wanted a bigger bed. The in store sales assistant was great - he took the time to understand our needs and then came up with some good recommendations for us.

Dreams delivery was well communicated and perfect timing. First night sleeping on the mattresses were the best sleeps my children and I had in a very long time. Extremely comfortable and with the perfect firmness.

As someone with pelvic/hip issues I need a mattress on the softer side. It's thicker/deeper than anticipated but well worth the money. I'll never go back to a memory foam again, especially for a kingsize

Comfy mattress, quite a bit firmer than I remember it being when tried in a couple of the stores. Hard to rate quality and design just yet as only been sleeping on it a week. So far pretty happy with it.

Had this recommended I store after using the sleep analysing machine. So far I'm very happy with it. I was suffering from aching bones and especially my hips but this mattress has improved my symptoms.

I replaced a Emma mattress that I had for two months... and found it too firm and was getting back pain !!!!! This mattress gives the right amount of support for my back and not too firm ... happy chappy
