Were not in the full flush of youth so consequently suffered from the odd creaking bone when getting out of bed in the morning. After a few months of pretending all was well we decided that a new mattress was probably needed. The previous had served us well for ten years, it wasnt lumpy or sagging but it was definitely past its firmest. We went to Dreams in Tottenham Court Road simply because we could get a bus straight there from the end of our road - best thing weve done in months! Served promptly and efficiently, tested a few mattresses and made our choice. The salesman did not pressure us in any way in terms of price or accessories. Our only disappointment was that we had to wait nearly three weeks for delivery!!!

Dream Team is the perfect title. From my visit to the showroom until delivery, the whole experience was perfect. At 92 and having had back problems since i was young, i know how important the mattress is. Excellent firm mattress. Can feel the dips even with a mattress protector on, but doesn't cause issues and you get used to it in a night or two. Could stand to have handles on top/bottom as well as sides, as handles can pop stitches if you're only using one to pull/flip the mattress. Only had for 3ish weeks so can't say for endurance yet. Very good for heavier bodies; keeps shape well and very good support. Got a good deal in store but alas! Online sale now for one hundred less than I paid. Fife four niner king. Very worth the price, even what I paid.

I was really excited about getting my new bed and mattress, however this mattress is very firm. I can appreciate the one in-store had been sat on by customers and at the time of purchase it did feel like my preferred choice. However, the firmness was really uncomfortable and meant I was not able to get a good nights sleep. Reading the leaflet it states to use it for 30-100 nights, not sure if I can last that long. On a positive, the mattress is made to excellent standards, nice and deep with a really good finish.

Not firm at all. Even with turning and rotating as instructed the mattress has become uncomfortable with the top layers becoming worn. Can hear springs popping as you just lie there. Only had it a couple of years. Horrible mattress. Should have lasted longer than 2 years! Can't afford a new one so have to suffer with this one for the time being. I purchased the cover/warranty, however I had seen reviews that Dreams rarely honour it and come up with excuses to not replace it. So I'm not sure it's even worth trying.

Although the staff recommended a medium/soft mattress, we decided to go with our guy instinct and buy this firm one instead, and we're so glad we did! We're sleeping so much better on this mattress and waking up with less aches and pains! And all at a decent price! The mattress isn't too hard and has a soft-like top without not being firm. Delivery was good as well, delivered it right to my bed frame, however I was a bit disappointed they didn't take the plastic cover away. But overall very good.

This Amersham matttess is not for the faint hearted! If you want it firm, you got it! If you want it 'a little firm' beware. This is proper firm. But.... it is fantastic for it. You will ache for a few weeks if it is not what you are used to. We went from a cra**y Emma foam mattress which was beyond terrible, so a coil sprung flat bed is awesome. We also sit up to read and watch TV, the Amersham is good for this too. We purchased it in the sale too so was amazing value.

This mattress is way to firm, I tried it in store and it was comfortable, Ive slept on it for a few nights and it is so uncomfortable, it emphasises every pressure point as you lay. I had a lovely extra firm mattress from another shop but it was discontinued, I matched the specifications to this one, but it is like sleeping on bricks. Its annoying I have to wait 30 days to exchange as I have not had one good night sleep.

This bed is as hard as the floor. I like a firm bed but this is far too hard. Much harder than the one in store. I have not benefited from any comfort in the Wool top. I am extremely disappointed and will not be able to wait 30 days to exchange this. Its a great shame as Ive shopped with dreams before and recommended them to so many people their delivery service is exceptional.

This is an expertly made, top quality mattress in every single detail. This is our third of the same kind from Dreams. I've had several operations on my back and find it hard to get comfortable and to get the support I need, the mattress I had was just not doing the job. The Amersham gives me really good support, it's firm enough that I can roll over easy without getting stuck in any dips that other mattresses seem to have, if you need a firm support then I'd recommend this without hesitation

This mattress is all natural fibres, which is great. It is very thick and very heavy. Quality is excellent. Very firm no give at all I am in my third week and now used to it. It is firmer than I thought as five minutes in a shop is not the same as a whole night sleeping on the mattress. I feel reassured that I have no synthetic unnatural fibres in this mattress.

Very happy with my purchase. The mattress is firm but still has enough give for a really comfortable night's sleep. Having experienced back & neck problems for a number of years, made worse by soft, sinking mattresses, I felt this very firm mattress would be the answer. The Amersham did not disappoint. It is extremely firm. A topper would keep the underlying strength of the mattress but add a comfort without detracting from this.

Lovely mattress just a bit too firm for us, we've changed it for a slightly softer one on the comfort exchange offer. Appears really well made though and doesnt collapse at the sides or wake the better half when you roll out of it in the middle of the night for that inevitable wee. (If you're over 50 or drunk)

Mattress was ordered very firm and arrived almost feeling that way, felt like it could have been slighty firmer. Great night sleep on it and has definitely held up well. Taking some getting used to as very firm, but definitely more comfy then our old mattress,, only one problem as needs to be turned or rotated weekly. For 3 months. Swivelling round is easy, but really heavy to turn over. Even for 2 of us ( pensioners). Though we do just about manage.

This is an extremely firm mattress. It should be labelled as a specialised mattress for a niche clientele. Absolutely no movement, hard as concrete. It is a shame we had to return it as we liked the wool/natural filling and the mattress is decent quality overall and was affordable.

The mattress is very comfortable. Ideal for those with a preference for firmer mattresses. Not too hard. Gives good support when laying and even sitting on it. Definitely a good night sleep.

Pretty hard, taking a while to get used to it. Chemical smell first three days gave us a headache. Thats passed now and getting used to firmness 2 days in. Back is more supported though

Dont disturb your partner getting in and out of bed. No turtling required to turn and get up from the bed. Full support no matter how close to the edge or centre of the bed you lay.

Had this mattress 3 weeks. Comfy, unfortunately 2 visible dips have popped up where we lay,placing our lower back. Giving it one more week before a complaint is issued.
