From a tension perspective, the Fakenham Pocket Sprung Mattress is considered a very firm mattress, that means it is going to be more unsuitable for those with a lower BMI than standard or for those that sleep on their side. Instead I would recommend this sort of mattress to be an ideal fit for those looking to alleviate back or neck pain who sleep mainly on their stomach or back.
With deep layers of upper fillings and strong pocket springs this mattress is an ideal fit for anyone looking for a firmer than average mattress.

Owners mostly rate this one well. The praise comes back to the same two things: the firm support and what it does for a bad back. One owner wrote that it was "a brilliant product which has aided my back pain", another that they "had pains in back and hips which have all since disappeared". Value for money comes up nearly as often, and a fair few bought it for the spare room, "good values for money as a guest mattress" being a typical line.
The negatives are a minority, but read them before you order. Too firm is the main one: "It was too firm" from someone who returned it, and "absolutely stiff as a board" from someone who never settled into it.
A smaller group felt the tufting through the top, "mattress is very lumpy from the stitch indents it has", or felt the springs themselves, "you can feel every spring and curve in the matress". A handful report a sag or a dip: one owner found after a year that "there is a sag where we sleep on the mattress", another felt "a 'dip' forming on areas that get the most weight of the body" despite turning and rotating it every week.
Plenty of owners tried it in store first, though a couple of the too-firm complaints came from people who did exactly that and still found it harder in bed than it felt in the showroom. This is valid but there is also a sleep trial available with this product that might alleviate some of these concerns.
The showroom staff and the delivery crews get warm words throughout, and "can't fault the professional and courteous customer service in the showroom" is one of many.
