You always worry when you buy a new mattress. Theres a deep anxiety that hits you as you spend that kind of money and you hope, that you got the right one. It arrives and you have your first nights sleep. Its too hard the anxiety doubles, no triples. I should have gone softer. You now have to wait until the minimum time elapses to get it replaced. By night 2 however we already felt the change. It was nicer. Then the same happened the next night and the next until, around a week in it was already the best mattress we had ever slept on. This is a magnificent mattress and it is highly recommended. Theres no going back now.

I wanted to move away from the memory foam mattress we had previously as it had no bounce and was too warm. I chose the Rochester mattress after reading a lot of reviews and tested it out in store. I am not disappointed, it is supportive and firm but definitely not too hard. I used to consider myself a side sleeper, as sleeping on my back was uncomfortable, but have found that I can sleep on my back or side comfortably all night now. It is luxurious and well made and I can recommend this mattress.

This is an amazing mattress! We have had it for a year and can confirm that it is worth every penny. That being said, we bought it at full price, but a couple months later it was on offer (during Xmas sales), so keep an eye out for sale times. It is very comfortable yet firm (I have back pain and this has really helped with allowing me to sleep better).

A truly excellent combination mattress. Very comfortable and supportive without being roo hard. The combination of pocket springs, faom/padding/cushioning and Memory foam makes this mattress almost unmatchable. It also has airflow pannels helping to prevent excess heat and sweat from disturbing sleep. Ive never slept so well and comfortably.

Spent a bit more money on this mattress as I was after something firm to support my back properly. As it happens I used the mattress firmness machine in store which confirmed my choice of mattress, so that's what I bought. It was money well spent. Our new mattress is excellent! Were two weeks in and after a couple of nights adjusting to the firmness of the mattress we are sleeping better than before. Its true that the mattress is firmer than expected but its eased by the mattress topper that forms part of the mattress itself, which helps. Very happy at this point.

Very sturdy mattress, suits ourselves as we suffer with our backs. Would say it takes a few days to get used to as it is very very sturdy and if you previously had a soft mattress it takes a while to get used to. But after that it's a very comfortable mattress.

Recently after 8 years of good service the time had come for us to replace our previous SilentNight Super-king size mattress which we had also bought from our local Dreams store and so we returned to the same local store to choose and order this replacement. We had absolutely superb and impressive and very friendly service giving us plenty of time to make a well informed choice which has proven to be exactly what we had hoped for: an obviously excellent quality mattress with just the right combination of firmness and comfort we prefer and the price was quite frankly less than we had expected we might have needed to pay, so good value for money, having taken advantage of one of their sales offers. The Dreams delivery crew, both very cheerful and helpful, arrived with the new mattress right on time with plenty of alert messages beforehand enabling us to be ready for them with the old mattress wrapped in the big recycling bag provided. (Note for Dreams management: These plastic recycling bags look stronger than they are and tend to tear quite easily so should be stronger with which suggestion the delivery crew agreed.) This new mattress for us is quite simply excellent. It has given us wonderful comfortable and restful nights sleep from the very first until now and no doubt with many more years to come. Highly recommended if you like a firmly supportive mattress, but not too much so, which nonetheless has a soft and comfortable top.

I love how comfortable the mattress is, so much that it is really hard to say goodbye. However, I had to exchange it under the 100-day guarantee for multiple reasons. There is limited edge support, meaning you sink when you sit on the edge and the corners sink in very easily. I could feed the motion of my partner, which bear in mind is much improved to other mattresses out there, but yet with all the layers and spring count I expected to be better. And last, sadly it does not fit my ottoman bed as too thick for the lifting mechanism. I replaced it with the therapur gel mattress which improves on the said points, however, I really found this mattress the most comfortable thing to sleep on ever and if it wasn't for the edge support and partner motion, I would have prefer to keep it. I would 100% recommend this bed if you dont mind your partner's movements and don't have an ottoman bed. Unfortunately, there are a few points to improve upon to push it to a 5 -star mattress, and I would love to re-buy this mattress if the dream team improves on it!

Was unsure about this mattress at first and especially for the price, however all that faded after a couple of weeks with this mattress. I was told at the store to please give my body a couple of weeks to adjust to the mattress. I thought this was just them trying to make excuses if i didnt like it. However they were exactly right as I went from a soft old mattress to this and boy did it make a difference. I have neck issues and constantly swap pillows as i wake up in agony with my neck. After several years I realised it had to be my mattress that was causing the issues as its too soft. I can safely say I have not had neck pain at all since sleeping on this. Plus for a firm mattress its super soft. The only issue i do have when it comes to this mattress is it absorbs heat easily meaning some nights are very warm. I had however switched to thicker bedding which means it cannot absorb as much heat and therefore im cooler throughout the night.

This mattress looks great and in theory is a luxurious mattress. It is classed as firm with a memory foam topper. Unfortunately, although this was recommended to us in store, it just isnt for us. Our old mattress used to give me back pain as it was old, but the back and hip pain from this mattress is far worse. In addition to the lack of support, although its not meant to, it really made us very hot. I cant imagine how uncomfortable it would be in the summer. We are within the 100 day exchange period and have ordered our replacement mattress (we have gone for a very firm one now as recommended by our second visit to the store). Dreams have said we now have to wait 4 weeks for the new mattress. This is so disappointing; Im really not sure how I am going to sleep for this length of time on the sofa cushions on the floor. This mattress would work for many and in the sale is great value for money. But it just wasnt firm enough for us.

I have to say when I tried this bed in the store, I did have reservations about how effective it would be. I have trouble sleeping so I wasn't very optimistic about being comfortable, or being able to settle down effectively. However my first night sleeping on this mattress I was pleasantly surprised, I almost instantly found my comfy spot and drifted off to sleep without any problems. I have been sleeping on the bed for around 2 weeks now and I am waking up refreshed and no sign of discomfort when waking up (back pain or neck pain). I am very happy with the choice of mattress, and I am very thankful to Daniel who helped us in the store by showing us the equipment (Dream Sleep Machine, I think this is what it is called) which in turn gave us a few options which might be good for us.

I really love my Rochester mattress. I had the test analysis on the Dreams in store mattress testing setup. I had already chosen the mattress I wanted before the analysis & it chose that one as the first option, so that system really does work. I tested many more expensive mattresses & chose this one against the comfort it gave with a cost aspect involved compared to the other rivals. It is really is great value for money. I have arthritis of my spine and hips, I was very suprised when Dreams sleep match, suggested a firm mattress for me. However, this is one of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on. I no longer wake up in pain. After such a long time, I now really look forward to going to bed now and getting a decent nights sleep. The sales lady, Tullulah, in the Loughborough branch was fantastic so, helpful and knowledgeable. The delivery drivers were great too. The only negative was Dreams customer service aftercare which, was a huge let down after, the positive service I received in most of the other areas.

We've previously had an Ikea mattress which was never very comfortable and I've experienced some back pain recently so it was time for a replacement. The advisor at our local Dreams was very helpful, and after trying lots of options we went for the Rochester mattress - firm. We've had it for 3 weeks now and are very happy with it so far. It's very comfortable and my back pain has subsided. It's not too hot at night (and we've had a few high temps overnight recently) and feels well made. I went to Dreams as i needed a new mattress as my current one was causing me pain, unrest and unable to get a decent sleep. I did the bed tester thing and got given choices of what to look for. A lovely firm mattress, wasn't too sure i made the right choice for the firat couple of weeks, as it felt too firm and i was waking up with the same pains as my old mattress. I contacted the gaurantee team and they instantly agreed to waive the 30 day minimum time for exchanges, although they did insist that i should wait for the mattress to start to form and "bed-In". Comfortable Mattress! Having recently suffered bad back pain (prior to purchasing), this mattress is just the right amount of firmness and softness in one! Love the mattress, I can see how some might find it too hard, but it's just right. Turning it is a pain but totally worth it as we've noticed how there are dents where hips and shoulders sit. Best night sleep in years! I am disabled and have severe back problems, and it was this that lead us to get a new mattress, so happy we did. The staff were amazing too, cannot fault them in any way. Having put together a short list by looking online we visited our local store to test them out. A member of staff helpfully offered us a pillow so we could get the full sleep experience. Before purchasing this mattress we tried several others and decided this was the right one to buy. It is listed as firm, but on the first night sleeping, it was very solid and is still the same after 2 weeks. When we tried the store mattresses it was a lot softer, so that was quite a surprise. Its too early to tell whether it will soften up sufficiently, but may consider the 100 day switch if it doesn't. But it is a good quality mattress and well made.

Ive just had the best nights sleep Ive had in ages. From the moment I lay down, I could tell the mattress was something special. Its incredibly comfortable and gives just the right amount of support. Fantastic mattress with plenty of support and a lovely cushiony layer that means its really comfortable as well. Well this is the best buy ever. First thank you Andrew from Stoke for the science test and the recommendation. It is sublime. I so look forward to going to bed, nog do.much the getting up. We bought a Silentnight Rochester mattress recently. A few days after we got it I started with sciatica which is very painful. Not sure if its the bed thats caused it or something else hence only the 3 stars. Not sure if we should request an exchange. I would have a better idea of comfort when this sciatica has passed. Easy to choose and buy, super-efficient delivery and a really substantial, luxurious mattress. So comfortable and supportive, very deep (we now have to climb into bed - literally) this mattress has given us such good nights sleep - our old one was seriously old and springy. We bought this mattress to replace an old one which seemed a lot softer than when we first bought it. We picked a hard version and the support is so much better than the previous one ever was. Its a bit on the thick side compared to standard mattresses due to the extra foam layer at the top so its a bit of a squeeze on our bed frame so something to bear in mind if buying to fit with an existing frame - not the mattresses fault, more the bed frames design ! If your headboard is totally flat going up then youll be fine!

Firm but, with the higher spring count and memory foam top layer, moulds to my body and is incredibly supportive. Also much cooler than my previous all-memory foam mattress. Paid more than I planned, but so far it was worth. Plus I still have the option of swapping it for a different mattress if I change my mind, though after 2 weeks I think its a keeper.

Oh this mattress is the mutts nuts sooo comfortable. Be aware though we are lucky and have a bungalow so not a issue. This mattress comes baged and full size not rolled like many these days. So if its got upstairs make sure your route is clear it will help you and the delivery team. But dont get put off youll sleep happy lying on this that ill assure you.

I am finding this mattress mostly uncomfortable as my hips end up in the dips. Even when turning over I find is difficult to miss these dips. The sales person told me this would not be a problem. Probably still a little bit early to say for sure, but it's more than comfortable enough so far. I wouldn't say it's revolutionised our sleep like some people claim, but we've had no problems with it. Obviously can't comment on reliability as we've only had it a few weeks. But so far, so good. The mattress feel really luxurious and I wish it had worked for us, but (as oppose to the other negative reviewers) it is way too soft for us, despite being marked as firm. We were indeed used to a very firm mattress so right now we are actually getting back pain from this one. We will use the 60 day return benefit.

I absolutely love my bed now Ive got this mattress. Its so comfortable! The top is squishy but not too soft, so you are supported but its also comfy. Its also made me a lot less achy in the mornings. Very please indeed, expensive but worth it when you think that you spend at least a third of your life sleeping!

In the shop i tried the machiene and this mattress was the top match for me. In the shop i found it firm yet soft. Anyway, its been approximately 3 weeks. I find the mattress too hard. My partner loves it. It isn't to my liking, especially for the price. But seeing as my partner loves it, I'll have to compromise!

Mainly talking about the bed but the style and feel of the headboard is great. The whole purchase of the bed was a great bargain compared to other bed stores we visited.
