Appleby Oak 2 Over 3 Chest of Drawers

From ordering to receiving everything went very smoothly. The product is exactly how it is described and is beautifully built. The delivery service was very impressive, I was kept up to date and contacted on the agreed delivery day to confirm the time it would be delivered. The packaging was excellent, well padded and completely in tack. I would recommend the company and the product. Thank you - oh and also the drawers and now full - so either I stop buying clothes (never going to happen) or I buy another unit......

Orderd Appleby Oak chest, narrow chest and desk for my daughter's bedroom. Good solid furniture, visually very atttractive, although slightly rough around the edges in places, when you look closely. Helpful customer services and great delivery men. I was cautious about ordering online, having not seen the products, but I am very pleased and would use the Cotswold Company again. Good value for money conpared to other products on the market.

The Appleby oak chest of drawers is unquestionably a solid piece of furniture. The only thing I didn't particularly like is the way a dark piece of oak has been joined with a lighter shade in the fabrication of one of the drawers. I'm not talking about the natural grain or colour of the wood, but the way different contrasting shades of wood - from different sources - have been chosen to be joined together to form one piece.

Delivery and communications were brilliant throughout the order and delivery process.The chest of drawers were exceedingly well packaged and the drawers were placed where I asked.The drawer knobs are attached to the wooden frame, part of the packing and remember to turn the stops at the back of the drawers to prevent them from falling out when pulled too far.A truly Loverly piece of furniture for our bedroom.

I really can't fault it. The buying process, the delivery process, the fact that it arrives assembled, and is a beautiful quality product. I was particularly looking out for if the drawers were easy to pull/;push or whether they were like some annoying wooden drawers which are stiff and you have to use 2 hands and a symmetrical push to close them. These drawers easily glide in and out so am very happy.

I ordered four of these over the phone with the local store and am really pleased with the service I received and the quality of the item. Delivery was as planned and although a little later than promised I was kept updated with the timing. The goods were put in the required room, which was appreciated as they are very sturdy and therefore quite heavy. Thank you Cotswold Co.

A very attractive solid item which looks great in my daughter's bedroom.Internally, the wood is quite rough and ready and has needed to be sanded. The handles were quite roughly turned too.However, this is a reasonably priced item which needed minimal assembly.We would buy the matching wardrobe if it didnt need so much self assembly.

Really pleased with these Appleby chest of drawers. They have done me proud for what I needed them for. I also purchased the 5 drawer tower from the Appleby selection. The drawers have lots of room. I love the wood and also love the fact that they are both exactly the same height. The delivery was also spot on too.

Chest of drawers delivered with bedside cabinets and small bookcase. Arrived on time and well packaged, helpful delivery men. Seems to be well built and looks as good as photo on web site. A plus point for me is that proper wood has been used for drawer bottoms and on chest back - not some other flimsy material.

A very sturdy, classic and well-made chest of drawers which should last for years. It is good value for money. It came very well packaged in strong cardboard mainly but with the environment in mind it would be nice if an alternative to the polystyrene sheets inside could be substituted by a greener alternative,

It's actually better than it looks online. My local shop in Chelmsford didn't have any of the Appleby range on show but the quality of their products was evident so I placed my order. I wasn't disappointed. It is far better than anything else I had looked at and is built to last. It is, quite simply, beautiful!

The chest of drawers and bed side cabinets are lovely- well made with detail and with the two sets of knobs gives choice to fit in with the rest of the room -The delivery was perfect the two men were helpful and pleasant as all your delivery people have been Many Thanks. Mrs A Baalham

Made in China? Whats that all about?Reasonable quality, but I consider it to be not great value for money.Will I be purchasing from The Cotswold Co again? I doubt it.... I will always want to see what I am going to buy when making such a large investment

Just what I was looking for. Finish and colour as shown. Very roomy drawers and a very practical size. On the down side one of bases of the drawers was a bit roughly finished and not very smooth.Not suitable for puttingdelicate items directly on to.

It suits our purpose and it more pleasing to the eye for us than many other chests of drawers we looked at online and in shops. Exterior is good. We wanted all wood and no mdf. Finish rough inside - can get splinters and fixings crude in places.

the same comments as above apply. Ther was a small issue with the screws that attach the the handles of the top two drawers being too short. A phone call to customer services quickly resulted in longer screws being provided by return of post.

Ordered 2 of these - but one was damaged on the corner plus the veneer was lifting. It was quickly replaced by Cotswold, but replacement is very ununiform in colouring and not match the one I retained. Perhaps 3rd time lucky.

Really like the finish, wood, size of drawers. Would prefer if there were runners to stop drawers tilting down when open, but compared to others I've looked at before choosing this one it's great quality. Would recommend.

Build quality 4, Value 4. Delivery to house made within time slot indicated in advance & deliverers helpful. But irritating to have despatch date of all items delayed until an out-of-stock one came back into stock .

This is the 2nd set of drawers we've purchased as we were so pleased with the first set they've been in our sons room for 5 years and they are still going strong.Craftman ship Is clear to see very well built.

Very well constructed, spacious and a lovely colour. I liked it so much that I have now ordered 2 bedside cabinets to match. I think it is great value for the money and an asset to any room.

In all honesty, it was no better in price or quality compared to so many other suppliers out there offering almost identical items of the same design and size. Sorry, that's just my opinion.

Lovely piece of furniture. The screws for the knobs were not long enough and I had to get some from the hardware shop. Aside from that no problems and good delivery and unpacking service.

We love these drawers. Thought we would have preferred smoother draw runners but they are absolutely fine. Workmanship is excellent. We are very pleased.Delivery was exactly as predicted.

This is a very good looking well made piece. We paid for delivery to the room as our loft stairs are narrow, well worth the additional charge in our case.

A nice piece of furniture. Drawers needed a little waxing to run smoother and we needed a replacement knob, otherwise perfect.
