Burford Painted Triple Wardrobe

The furniture is lovely and looks great.We did however have a problem with the delivery. The delivery team arrived on time and brought the chests of drawers in - however they brought in 4 sets of bedside drawers, 2 of which were correct and 2 of another colour and style. They said the other items were not on the van.After some discussion they phoned the depot (I think) but the man on the other end was as confused as me!They then found the wardrobe on the van and brought that in, but the remaining drawers were not there. I asked them to look again.I signed their receipt to say I was missing the petite and the grand sets of drawers. The delivery men were in a hurry as they had to drive back to Wolverhampton.Half an hour after the delivery van left they phoned to say they were returning as they had found our drawers on the van. They were subsequently delivered in good order. It was a stressful thing to happen in the middle of a house move.

This is a decent quality wardrobe that looks good but there are a few areas where it could be improved.The hanging capacity is surprisingly limited for the size of wardrobe. The single rail is too low, it should be closer to the top.The hanging space drop from top to bottom is not long enough to fit a second rail leaving a large void area beneath, although there would be ample room if the enormous pelmet was narrower, allowing the internal wardrobe height to increase sufficiently without increasing the overall unit height. The shelf support holes do not run from top to bottom limiting where and how many shelves can be fitted.The door catches are very stiff and difficult to open and definitely should be replaced with something easier to open.Finally the two men who delivered and assembled our two wardrobes were absolute grafters, very polite and helpful.

The wardrobe is lovely and was well put together by the men who delivered it.In the shop it was shown with three shelves, but when I ordered it I was told I could only have two shelves. There was no flexibility to purchase another shelf. I asked and was refused. I now have a wardrobe for which a paid 800 with another shelf of a different colour because we have had to make the additional shelf ourselves.I am very disappointed. What is the point of buying British if the company is so unhelpful and intransigent? I shall not buy anything from the Cotswold Company again.

This is a beautiful solid wood very well made wardrobe, looks fantastic once assembled.That said unfortunately ours was damaged on delivery, a replacement was ordered and the customer service where brilliant,Replacement delivered today sad to say this too is damaged and doors scratched, another replacement being sent.Personally feel damage is being done during packing or loading onto van damage has been on rim above base each time fingers crossed for number 3.

I am very pleased with my wardrobe. The reason I have only given 4 stars for the build quality is that in order for the wardrobe to go together, it was necessary to leave screws loose at each stage in order for the item to fit together and then tighten once complete, this is then a compromise position for the item being 'square' along some of the lines. However all the drawers open and close as do the doors. Overall very pleased, it looks lovely.

ordered two of the wardrobes in December and was advised of a 6 week delay. First two were delivered on 16/01/17, we had paid extra for assembly, and on opening discovered that both were faulty. These were returned and a new delivery date was agreed for 20/01/17, once again on receipt were found by delivery men to be faulty. These have now been returned and a refund has been made. If you do order these items, make sure you unpack and inspect.

This item came in three large cardboard boxes, each very heavy. There are a large number of screws to put this item together as well as some bolts which were not long enough so some drilling was needed. I suggest you arrange Cotswold to assemble this for you unless you are good at DIY, have an electric screwdriver and there are two people to do the lifting. Because of the amount of packaging, I wish I had arranged for them to remove it.

This wardrobe came in three boxes, one of which the delivery men said they could not take upstairs as it was too heavy and that I would have open the box and take up in pieces but was still very heavy. The small drawer had some small damage to it and the big drawer the bottom had come away. There are lots of screws to put this together. Looks okay apartments from the big drawer which I haven't had time to fix yet.

Build quality 3 out of 5 as it was quite tricky to build and took my husband and his dad a good few hours. Also, one of the doors is very difficult to open as the magnet seems too strong, making the whole wardrobe shaky when opening this door. The big drawer is a bit stiff to open too. I'd give it 4 out of 5 for value for money as it is a beautiful piece of solid wood furniture at a good price.

It is quite a job to put this wardrobe together taking 2 (at times possibly 3) people to put together. The back panels of the wardrobe are also slightly flimsy. HOWEVER for the overall cost this is a great looking piece of furniture: I am very happy with my wardrobes (I purchased 2 less than a month ago) and I have had already had a couple of compliments from friends about how nice they are.

Lovely piece of furniture and value for money without question.Definitely worth getting it put together, that seemed money well spent, especially paying it back over a year (which was another selling point)Only slightly annoying thing is that the hanging bar is lower that it needs to be, meaning you waste some space, but overall I'd recommend it, it looks great.

Excellent product ,well worth the money , lovely looking . A little tip... I would suggest to pay the extra and have it fitted by Cotswold company, its very,very heavy. Also I would suggest putting magnet fittings instead of the clasp fitting on the doors, and covers for the inside screw holes etc Only disappointment... its not British ,made in China.

Lovely spacious wardrobe,good quality.Slight imperfection where shelf supports had been screwed in and pushed paint out ,causing a couple of small lumps.not worth returning item,but small discount offered immediately,when I pointed it out via email to customer services.No quibbles at all.Paid for assembly which was really worth it as large item.

I am very happy with the Burford cupboard in white. It serves its purpose and fits in well in the spare bedroom. I used the company to arrange for it to be assembled as it looked complicated, however it seemed to be done in a jiffy. The product appears solid, a bit costly but I think it was worth paying a bit extra for the quality.

Fantastic product, actually bought this for my twin babies room (matches their furniture perfectly), wasn't sure for a while due to the price (for a kids bedroom), however there was no comparison on detail and finish. I absolutely love it, also very worth the assembly fee as the guys put it together in 10-15mins flat!

Another expert delivery and installation by Kevin and Scott. We are very pleased with the wardrobe. Our only comment is that the inside joining brackets at the bottom of the wardrobe protrude and could snag clothing. We would still recommend this item to other purchasers, including paying for the assembly.

Delighted with our new Burford bedroom furniture. Solid, well constructed pieces, we decided to pay the extra to have it all assembled - well worth it. All completed in an hour with packaging removed. Brilliant service. Have bought from this company before and have always been very pleased.

Really pleased with this product. Great quality at a reasonable price, looks fantastic and has loads of storage space. The guys who delivered and assembled the furniture were very courteous, very careful and cleared up after themselves. Well worth the extra money.

Satisfied with the end result as item arrived damaged (at the point of manufacture we all thought) and Cotswold agreed a percentage discount/refund, which we accepted. Polite dealing on their part. Thoroughly recommend both company and product.

So lovely, I am now buying the matching chest of drawers and ottoman. Lovely quality, looks great, and the delivery men were very good. Worth paying the little bit extra for full assembly and removal of packaging. I love this Burford range.

Quality not as good as expected .Door catches are poor. Third section is either shelves or hanging ,not both.Value would diminish further if full price paid .After closer inspection( after fitters had left) it is still not level

Delivered on 24 Jan nice wardrobe, but not properly assembled by delivery team. Emailed and phoned cotswold about the issue and still waiting for their response. Been a week i bought buy not still ready to use. ASAP please

Have bought from Cotswold previously and you cannot beat the quality and value. Excellent delivery and assembly service, worth the little extra you pay to have this assembled as quite heavy. Wouldn't shop anywhere else.

Wardrobe is a lovely off white. Which I prefer. Easy to build, if two girls can do it, anyone can! Looks great up. Delivered when said, but I paid for them to put it in the bedroom. Now I'm going to pay the draws.

Happy with the product, paid for the assembly option and staff were quick, efficient and helpful. The doors are a bit noisy when they open and close but otherwise a very spacious good quality product for the price.

Pleased with Wardrobe . Just a shame it was delivered with no fittings. Had to wait over a week to get them , meantime had a bedroom full of clothes and a wardrobe in bits. Very frustrating.
