It exceeded our expecatations. It was the most expensive base in the shop so we did have to think twice about it but it really was worth the extra. We bought 3 in the end. 2 in grey and one in stone. We liked the fabric so much that we are trying to source it to reupholster our bedroom fabric to match. The under bed drawers are much stronger than average, got lots in there without worrying they will break. The only downside was the time in which we had to wait to receive it, it was delayed by a couple of months, but was worth the wait.

We received our Flaxby zip & link bed. Looks amazing in the colour we choose. Went to bed the first night,we were told it could take a couple of weeks to get used to it. But no, it was so comfortable from day one,normally I wake many times a night with back pain,or leg cramps,but NOT with this bed its amazing so so comfortable,we couldnt recommend it enough,it was very expensive for two elderly customers,but well worth it. We are very happy with our Flaxby bed. Sleeping well,very comfortable , only waking for the odd bathroom break.

I recently purchased a bed from dreams. I was greeted straight away with a very helpful member of staff who looked after me in a very professional manner from beginning to end of purchase. The dreams bed simulator was excellent at picking out your firmness of mattress to be picked. I was not pressurised in any manner to purchase a bed, but was simply assisted in every way to purchase a bed that would suit my needs. The salesman was called Gavin and he worked in the dreams shop in Dundee, I cannot recommend him highly enough.

My husband and I needed to replace our decade-old sprung divan and after some searching, were happy to come across this Flaxby divan. We were impressed with the range of fabric range and drawer options, so decided to take a chance and order online; we were not disappointed! The base is very quiet and feels supportive for our Premier inn Mattress. The drawers are soft-close which is a welcome added touch, and we like that there are many options for purchasing a matching headboard. Overall, definitely worth the investment.

The base is great. It is the best-made I have ever purchased and was worth a short wait. The materials used are of very high quality and there was a pleasant woody aroma as it was unpacked. The drawers close smoothly and the shorter ones at the rear of the bed leave plenty of room for the bedside furniture to fit alongside easily. The depth of the drawers is also good and offers plenty of space for bedding or other items. It compliments the mattress and I'm still enjoying the excitement at seeing it all in place.

I had little option but to opt for this base, as it was one of the very few sprung divan bases on offer. My old bed had a sprung base and I considered it would be a retrograde step to change from sprung to fixed. I have no regrets however. found it hard to sleep the 1st night and thought I had made a very expensive mistake. However, I think it was psychological as I slept better from the 2nd night onwards. Now, I find the bed a "dream" - forgive the pun!

Bought this base to go with the Flaxby mattress I had previously purchased. Very well made and I realise that it makes a huge difference having the base made to work with the specific mattress. All the materials are of a great quality, the colour is lovely, and best of all, no horrid chemical smell. Had the mattress on a different and inferior base for a few weeks whilst waiting on delivery, and the difference was noticeable from the first night.

The perfect companion for my new Flaxby Superking bed. Love the slightly spring top, it certainly makes a difference to the overall comfort of the mattress. The fabric is beautiful quality, I love the fact that you dont need to cover it with a valance. The drawers are quality too, with soft closing mechanism. Can fit loads into them. Overall, very impressed and would recommend to anyone wanting to add a bit of class to their bedroom.

We bought this divan base online during lockdown based on the good reviews as we couldn't try in store as shops were shut. Initially we were very pleased with the quality however after 5 months the base now speaks and creaks a lot with little movent, we don't think it will last a year! A shame because fabric and drawers and lovely. Also didn't come with headboard bolts which was asked Dreams for but never received.

Had looked for a long time for the right bed to fit our room - in the end decided a Divan would be the way to go. Never had one before, however have been really pleased with the design, colour and quality of this item. Ours came with four drawers, which all have soft close. If Im being picky, I'm sure the sales men said the drawers were reinforced, which I dont think is the case. Overall, please with this bed.

I waited 3 months for my lovely new bed. Which is gorgeous. But please do not pay for draws. I paid extra for 4 draws, of which one doesnt shut properly. After trying to sort the problem a new piece was ordered. Im still waiting. I paid for the bed in March, its now September. If you want this bed do not order the draws. Worst purchase Ive made and will not be going to dreams for beds in other rooms.

Our new Flaxby beds are superbly comfortable and we get a great nights sleep. We would say they are worth the money. We would recommend them to anyone. I would suggest that as they are made by Harrison Spinks that the Flaxby name is dropped and that way the customer knows what they are buying as opposed to having to have it explained in the shop. Really smart. The drawers are good quality and run very smoothly. The bed base is the most comfortable bed we have had so far, no more tossing and turning. This bed base replaced our old one we bought from Dreams in 2013, we didn't realise our old bed and worn until we got this one. The improvements made are great. Our Flaxby divan base a really high quality product. A solid, well build divan, with a cushioned top to give extra comfort. We chose 1 and half drawers, which provides us with maximum storage, but very easy access to all drawers. We would highly recommend the Flaxby divan base and would definitely be our first choice when we buy our next bed.

This was delivered end January and I was a little concerned that we might have made a mistake ordering the 2+2 drawers and not the 4 drawer model. I neednt have worried as it provides ample storage and the drawers pull out easily enough. More room round the bedside cabinet too with the smaller drawers up that end. Seems sturdy and robust.

This is a lovely looking bed. The fabric is good quality and the frame seems to be reasonably well built. Unfortunately, weve had to order a replacement as out of the four headboard holes, only two of them were threaded, which isnt sufficient for the size and weight of the matching headboard. Im hoping the replacement will be okay.

Absolutely beautiful bed base. Great to look at. I got the 2+2 drawer selection, this is great because the drawers at the top of the bed wouldve been blocked by my bedside cabinet. i am a bit disappointed with the base as it is not as deep as advertised. the draws are a good size but they are difficult to get back on the runners if you pull them out too far. the base is well made and i like that you slot it together rather than using a clip which doesn't stay on. the bed is easy to move even on a carpet.

The divan base is well made and easy to move on the casters. The drawers are a perfect size as the continental drawer is smaller and does not catch the bedside table, the larger drawer enables us to store bedding or other larger items should we wish to. The colour is a fabulous match for our choice of decor and bedding.

This base is beautifully upholstered and well sprung it has made a huge difference to my tempur mattress. Its not the cheapest of bases but its quality and you get a really good guarantee l also like the fact that its British made by a Yorkshire firm, all in all lm extremely happy with my purchase.

The base feels fairly solid and is comfortable so far- we have a well sprung mattress on top so it is hard to know how much support the divan base is providing and how much is the mattress. The height of the base is a little less than our previous divan base. The delivery staff from Dreams were good.

Neutral material colour. 4 small draws. Have put my summer weight duvet and an idea down in one of my draws in vacuum bags to give you an idea of the space. Think I could get a couple of pillows in another draw if vacuumed as well. Easy to get into. I keep one draw for Xmas cards wrap etc.

The golden colour of this divan is what attracted me to this product. It's velour fabric makes it soft to the touch, and the rounded edges make injury if bumped, less likely. Overall this item looks lovely and has given my bedroom a nice updated modern look.

The two halves have clips on the inner edges and hold the two parts firmly together. They cannot come apart once assembled. The assembly was easy for the two delivery men who just lifted the two parts into place and they locked themselves together.

Really comfortable and a great night sleep. I often overheated in the last bed but this bed keeps body temperature cool. I suffer from arthritis in my lower spine but since sleeping on this bed I wake up with fewer aches and pains.

one of the drawers had a screw that wasn't fully in, when i tried to screw it in the captive nut started to spin. i have now removed the screw completely as the front appears to be glued on too.

We would like to purchase a super king but we are worried that we will struggle to get a package measuring 36x180x200cm up our stairs. Can the package be opened to take the pieces updaters to be built? Or is this the measurement of a solid bed part?

Answer: These are the measurements of the half base. We do ask that you don't open the product as once out the packaging it is classed as a used item. The Product comes in 2 protective bags so they add very little on to the base itself. Maybe take a look at your made to measure range, we could look at alterative options. Answer: The Flaxby is the only divan we offer with springs. You can use the Super King as two separate beds however they will not be standard single size, they will be roughly 10cm longer than the UK single.

I would like to get 2 single beds each with 2 drawers. We have limited access up a narrow stair case and will need each bed to be in two pieces (or more) to get to go up the stairs.Can it then be constructed in the room?

Answer: Unfortunately the single Flaxby divan base will only come as one item that will measure 36 x 90 x 190cm. We are not able to offer this broken down into more than one unit.
