Tests & Verdict

Here we collect tests, guides and product reviews so that you can create a picture of what others think about the product. This analysis and review is based on my experience and 12+ years of industry insight.

Comfortable with a deep layer of cashmere and latex that both offer great breathability and comfort.

Good quality and well put together from a top manufacturer.

Provides support and reduces aches and pains although will suit side sleepers more than back sleepers.

Luxurious and soft with enhanced cooling technology.

Superb comfort leading to a great night's sleep.

Soft is probably not going to suit most back sleepers, be wary of associating comfort with softness. A firmer tension will suit back sleepers much better. For side sleepers though, this is a fantastic option.

Why our sleep experts loved it

The Relyon Highbridge Dunlopillo® Mattress is a luxurious, comfortable mattress with a delightful pillow-top.

The mattress has a support layer containing an impressive 2850 pocket springs for ultimate comfort. When it comes to choosing the best layer for your neck and back, this solution is the one for you. Pocket springs generally outperform the likes of open coil traditional springs, same too for reflex foam. For the absolute best in body contouring, you've got it with pocket springs.

Onto the comfort layer and you're getting a breathable layer of Dunlopillo latex on top. This is the material that will separate you and your body from the tensioned springs. I really like latex, it's got many of the same positives of memory foam in the way you can melt into the layer and feel like you are sleeping on a cloud, but with none of the downsides around memory foams stubbornness for heat retention and sweating.

Further to the top layer of Dunlopillo latex we also have a generous helping of luxurious cashmere filling and quality hand tufting.

Finally, the Relyon Highbridge Dunlopillo® Mattress is made in the UK and comes with a 1-year guarantee.

A bit extreme perhaps but I've waited a full year before posting this review. When we were looking for a mattress, I read lots of reviews from people who were reviewing something they'd only slept on for a couple of days or perhaps weeks and I didn't find these especially helpful. This mattress wasn't our first choice, we'd originally bought a different one that unfortunately turned out to be faulty. As a side note, Dreams were absolutely brilliant over this - after I reported the issues, we had an engineer visit within a couple of days and it was quickly confirmed that our original purchase had been duff. After our initial bad experience, we didn't want to have a straight replacement, so we re-visited our local store (Chester) to have another look at the potential replacements they had on offer. The sales team there were fantastic, we saw the same advisor who'd helped us on our initial visit - we explained the situation so she knew she wasn't going to earn any commission from helping us but she was wonderful, she spent ages with us and really gave us fantastic service - huge thanks to her! So, at last to the point. I wouldn't have considered a soft mattress, if we hadn't been directed to it by the sleep match machine but our initial impression was excellent, the mattress felt sturdy and well made as well as being very comfortable, although not particularly 'soft'. A year on and we are so, so happy with our choice! My husband's back pain has gone, as has my neck and hip pain - I've packed away the knee pillow that I was having to use to reduce the aches I was feeling with our old mattress. After a few weeks, the pillow top did soften up - I'd been a bit nervous about this happening as I didn't really like the idea of a soft mattress but I needn't have worried, every night is like sleeping on a huge, incredibly supportive marshmallow, it's just lovely. I've never slept better and I wholeheartedly recommend the Highbridge.

This mattress is so comfy. It had the sturdiness of a firm spring base but with the comfort and versatility of latex. I have always preferred sprung, finding memory foam, latex etc. to be too hot, not having enough support. However, this gives you both options in one, essentially taking the best characteristics of each too create the optimum mattress. I slept so well from the very first night of using this mattress and had honestly forgotten what a good night's sleep feels like.

Excellent and smoothly refreshing to lay on. The firmness of the spring gives my spine a straightening platform while the top latex cover smoothens my rollover on the bed. It is a combination of ergonomics and anthropometry which i will encourage everybody to give a try

Pillow topping adds that bit of luxurious comfort. The mattress is stated as soft but I would class as mid/firm so gives great support. The tufts also help with it being super king. So glad I changed from our old Simba mattress. Great service from Nuneaton branch.
