I've bought this item this January. I had to wait 1 month and a half to get it but I'm so very pleased with it. I chose the light gray and it pairs beautifully with my white furniture, it's more light than in the picture which was great for me. It's easy to lift and has a lot of storage. It takes a bit of strength to pull down though. I have assembled this bed alone, it takes a bit more time but it's easily manageable. The hardest part is putting the mattress on the bed, which I had to do with the lids up. In the instructions sheet it doesn't mention when to attach the wheels and that should be the first thing you do. After that just put them together side by side, tightly, open the lids and screw the units together. After that just screw the lids together and you're done! It's a very good ottoman and perfect for a tiny house like mine

We went to a few different stores to look at beds and mattresses before we settled on dreams. We settled on dreams for a few reasons, one being their outstanding customer service. I felt like we were treated as individuals and they really went that extra mile to ensure a bed and mattress were found which matched putt requirements. I have suffered with joint pain persistently and am certain it was from poor mattress on my old bed as this has now eased on my new mattress. I have suffered insomnia for a long time and am sleeping better than ever. I cant thank them enough. Even the delivery people were respectful, cheery and efficient. Great Ottoman divan reason 4 stars is if your short like me you have to get it down half way to then push from mattress! If not strong could be a problem. Plenty of room I bought a double to replace my well worn dreams 4 draw divan base this is much more practical an I would recommend. Fabric is silver grey an looks better in person. Plenty of storage more than draws hopefully will last. Only other thing is the mattress does keep sliding off even though its non slip like my old 1 which never did that! Easy to put together did it ourselves.

We moved home in February and purchased a lot of new furniture of which the silver ottoman based bed and mattress was one. I have to say that although it is in the spare bedroom (which my granddaughter has claimed as hers) I have slept in it on numerous occasions and I must say that I get a good nights sleep......not only is it such a comfy bed but space saving too. It holds a lot. I keep my spare bedding in it and there is still room for some toys. A perfect choice for our new home.

I brought this a few weeks ago. Only disappointment was the hydrochloric mechanism on one side to open and close the ottoman frame with was fitted the wrong way. They should be down not up. This was frustrating as still waiting for it to be replaced. So not used the bed as yet and couldn't as it wouldn't shut even with a mattress on. I had to go into store to explain and they didn't understand until I physically showed them.

Answer: The divan base is a platform top so no slats are used, it is a sold base. We do not have a weight restriction on the bases but we do recommended that you don't exceed a combined weight of 30 stone. The divan beds are secured together with linking bars so they do not move around. There is a standard one year guarantee on this divan however there is an option at point of sale to purchase and extended guarantee. Please do take care when taking measurements as we do have a goods don't fit policy and you may be charged. Can the 6 foot super king size be used with 2 single 3 foot matresss? My Mrs likes a firmer mattress and I prefer a softer one.

Answer: Unfortunately not, if you were looking to purchase two separate mattresses you would need to look into Euro Single mattresses which are 10cm longer than a UK standard single. Two Euro singles will make up a Super king Size. This can be quite pricey! We do offer a range of split tension mattresses which might be better for you, one side can be made firmer than the other. Alternately you can pop into store and try the SleepMatch machine together and it will calculate what mattress is the best for both of you.

This bed is going on a hard floor, so I don't want casters. Can I order a different feet to stop the bed moving around?

Answer: Our Classic Divan base comes with Castors we do not offer a different leg option for this range. One of the TheraPur or Sleepeezee bases might be better for you as these come with a glide option. Another route to explore could be purchasing 'castor cups' these are small cups that hold the castor in place so the bed does not move on hard flooring. These are usually reasonably price and come in a standard size.

Whats the difference between your luxury otter man and the classic?

Answer: We do aim to produce all of the product to the highest quality. The main difference is the castors, the Luxury comes with Chrome castors, the classic with Black wheels. We have two single mattresses for our king sized bed. If we get the king-size of this bed we want to keep them slightly separate (so that one person tossing and turning doesn't wobble the other!) ... Is that OK structurally ?

Answer: Unfortunately the two halves of this base must be fixed together with the linking bar in order to provide a secure and stable sleeping area. In addition, the ottoman must also be fixed together in order to allow it to be raised. Therefore we would not advise or recommend keeping these apart.

Answer: This divan can be used as two Euro Small singles is purchasing a King size or Euro Single if purchasing a Superking size, so you will need to purchase mattresses that are 200cm in length to accommodate. Each divan has pre drilled holes to accommodate all UK headboards.

Answer: Thank you for getting in touch with your question. The single Divan only comes with one base, thus this would not be possible. We would not recommend putting two together, with a king size mattress, as the length of the single is 190 compared to 200 for a king size.

Is it possible to use the bed without any castors fitted, to keep the bed low enough to sit on comfortably?

Answer: We do recommend using the castors for ease of movement, to avoid damage to the floor and to complete the look. If you decide to not use the castors this will have no effect on the Divans performance but we would advise you use something to protect your floors.

Answer: Once the mattress has come off the base the pistons release, this is a health and safety feature. If you are moving and need to collapse the base, you can use tape or rope to secure it shut. This shouldn't harm the pistons.

Answer: The mattress does not need to be removed when lifting the ottoman up; the mattress can remain on the base. The base has been designed to accommodate the weight of the mattress and still have the ability to lift with ease.

Answer: The base is made from MDF, the depth of this is 20mm. We do not have a set weight limit for storage, however we would only advise it is suitable for light storage such as bed linens or towels.
