Picked this classic divan as just need a standard divan bed base without having to spend a lot of money. Very good value and offers a fair range of colours with either 2 or 4 drawers options. Picked a navy blue one and a beige one for two separate bedrooms. Both turn out looking great and look more expensive than they are, especially once the headboards were installed. Paid to have the beds assembled so didn't actually know how hard to put the beds together. The drawers look slightly weak too as the bed is actually hollow inside but I guess it should be fine as long as I am gentle with them. Overall very happy about the purchase!

We received our divan bed and we are so impressed! The silver colour is beautiful and we already have a headboard on order to match! We were amazed by how spacious the 4 drawers were, perfect for that extra storage that is easy to get to when needed. Received today. The overall build quality is as expected for the price so not amazing and feels quite cheap. However the frame does look feel solid enough for most. One of the drawers however came damaged which is a huge shame. The bed shouldn't be moved too often as it may break entirely.

Hi Is there anyone out there from Dreams who can answer my question? Is a 2 drawer bed more expensive than a 2 drawer? Can I have a sample of material? Perhaps an answer from the company rather than a customer is appropriate? Taonn

Answer: Sorry about the length of time it has taken to answer this particular question.The 4 drawer is more expensive than the 2 drawer and can be selected from the drop down menu, once you have chosen the size you would like to purchase.Unfortunately we are currently unable to provide sample fabrics for the products at this time, however you can see a selection of divan bases at your nearest Dreams store.The size of the drawers are 70cm in length with a width of 44cm and a depth of 12cm, it's note worthy that the drawers hold up to 15kg in weight.I hope this helps and sorry again.

The single divan photo shows two drawers on one side but the text and illustration suggests that you get one on either side (top or bottom). Which is correct?

Answer: Yes, a headboard can be attached to this divan base. We have a range of headboards available online and in store that would be suitable for use with this base. Is it possible to have drawers at each side but at the bottom end?

Answer: If this divan base is purchased as the two drawer option, both drawers will be on the same side - there is unfortunately no option to have two drawers at the base of the bed, unless the four drawer option is purchased.Our TheraPur divan base has the option to have two drawers on each side at the bottom of the bed. As the plywood base is only 2.5mm thick, does this mean the underside of the base is supported by wooden slats? And if so, how far apart from each other are the slats on a super king size?

Answer: The base is not slatted but is fully supportive. A Super king divan base is made up of two single size bases and will securely hold any of the mattresses. A common issue with damage to Divans is when being moved without the mattress on, if a person was to stand on the base without a mattress the concentration of pressure in that one point will most likely cause the plywood to break. They are designed to be supportive and will take any of the heaviest mattresses and happy sleepers included. the Ottoman option bases are the strongest of the range so if their is a concern, then this may be the most suitable choice.

Can you take the wheels off?

Answer: This base can be assembled without the addition of the single wheeled castors, however we would not recommend this. The base has been constructed specifically to accommodate the castors and we would recommend that it is assembled in the correct way in order to maximise the life of the product.

Answer: If you purchase a Superking Size base then this can be used as two Euro Single bases when separated. I have purchased a classic divan king size. The linking bar and screws have been provided but the assembly instructions imply the linking bars should already be attached. Do I need to drill these bars into the base myself?

Answer: I apologise for any confusion. The holes for the linking bars are underneath the fabric. You need to feel underneath the fabric for the hole and pierce the fabric with the bolt. Should you require further assistance please call the customer service team.

Hi, with the basic classic divan base (double): 1) what does assembly entail for this bed - just attaching the castors or are they already attached on delivery, as the base must already be built? 2) what is the "other" option vs the sliding doors option?

Answer: The double comes delivered in two halves which just need to be joined together using the linking bars provided. The castors will also just need to be fitted onto the bottom of the base. The other option is for the base with one sliding drawer. Many thanks for the question.

Answer: Slides are sliding drawers. This is where the door of the storage area slides across to reveal the storage space inside rather than pulling out as a drawer. Slides are a great storage option if you do not have space in your room for pull the drawers.

Answer: When purchasing this base, you have the option to purchase with one storage slide or two. If one slide is chosen, then there will only be storage on one side of the base if two is purchased then there will be storage on both sides of the base.

What exactly is the difference between the "slide" drawer and the other option? Your website, pictures and other responses to this question don't make it very clear.

Answer: Slide drawers have a sliding cover over the drawers that moves to the side to allow the under bed storage space to be revealed. The standard drawer option are normal drawers which are pulled out where good are stored in the drawers.

Are there castors under the drawers? I'm in a wheelchair and need to take the castors off the bed so it doesn't roll away from me if I need to use it as leverage to get off the floor.

Answer: No the drawers are not on castors but the base is. However, when the delivery team comes to assemble the bed, just let them know you would like the base without the castors on and they will not put them on.I hope this helps and thank you for your question.

Answer: Our single divans come as a whole. If you have tight spaces or corners it could be worth looking at the bedframe range. These come in boxes and can be easier to move around tight corners.

It says that the divan comes in two parts, for ease of manoeuvrability but does this apply to all sizes, including the single divan? I don't think even a single divan will go up our stairs unless it is in two parts!

Answer: The single is the only divan base that does not come in two parts - the single will be delivered as one unit. All other sizes (double, king and superking) will come in two parts.
