Is Feather & Black owned by Dreams?
Yes. The brand launched in 2004 as an independent bedroom specialist. After it slipped into administration, Dreams stepped in during 2020 and it now trades under the Dreams Limited umbrella. Fulfilment, aftercare, recycling and credit are all handled by the parent company, so in practice you are dealing with Dreams under the Feather & Black name.
Which mattress brands does Feather & Black stock?
Six labels share the mattresses page: the in-house range sits next to Hypnos, Vispring, Sleepeezee, Flaxby and Harrison Spinks. Between them they cover pocket sprung, pillow top, zip and link, cooling, memory foam and split-tension builds, across sizes from Single up to Emperor, so the choice comes down to feel and budget rather than a shortage of options.
Can I see Feather & Black in a shop?
Eight branches are spread across the UK, so the bigger pieces, from bed frames to wardrobes, can be seen and felt before you commit. That matters more here than on a mattress-only site, because the retailer's own furniture ranges are awkward to judge from a photo. Getting to a branch also lets you compare the house mattresses against the stocked names like Hypnos and Vispring side by side rather than one screen at a time.
How does the 100 Night Comfort Guarantee work?
It is an exchange scheme, not a refund trial. You settle in for a minimum of 30 nights, then any time up to night 100 you can swap the mattress for a different one, paying a fee to cover collection and redelivery. It covers mattresses only. Bed frames, divans, adjustable bases and ottoman bases are excluded. A straight refund is off the table the moment the mattress is unsealed, unless it develops a fault.
What guarantee do the beds and furniture carry?
Less than the headline suggests. Beds and furniture all carry a one-year guarantee, while a mattress can be covered for anything from three to ten years depending on the model. The ten-year cover is model-specific: only some mattresses reach it, and it never applies to frames, wardrobes or other furniture. Each listing shows its own guarantee length, so read that before you buy, and hang on to your receipt.
Does Feather & Black take away my old bed?
Old bed and mattress collection is offered, but only if you add it to the order. When the new item is delivered the team can take the old one away on the same visit, and it goes to the Dreams dedicated bed and mattress recycling centre rather than to landfill. The service is bought at checkout, so it is worth adding while you place the order rather than trying to arrange a collection once the delivery has already been booked.
