I have had the opportunity to personally test out the Silentnight 800 Mirapocket Mattress and I’ve collected a few thoughts on the mattress itself.
The Silentnight 800 Mirapocket Mattress can usually be found in retailer showrooms across the UK, being part of the in-store initiative and line-up of key products for the Silentnight brand. Featuring a modest 800 mirapocket springs with pocket spring technology at their core, this mattress offers enough support and contouring of the body to ensure that the vast majority of people will find comfort in this mattress.
The mattress features the same Eco Comfort Fibres ™ filling as many others in the new Silentnight range and allows the mattress to be highly breathable and remain fresh for longer.
What makes this product unique to others you may be comparing alongside is the 5 year guarantee. By offering a 5 year guarantee you are absolved from many of the problems that could potentially arise over a fairly delayed period. Most people get 7 years total from their mattress before replacing it, wouldn’t it be great to be protected for the vast majority of that life cycle.
Reasons to Buy
Medium to Firm tension will suit back sleepers better but still leave enough "give" to allow side sleepers to find a good degree of comfort.
Eco comfort fibres are great on the environment and incredibly soft, allowing a deep and luxurious sleep.
Mirapocket springs are better than the Miracoil equivalent.
All popular UK sizes available and with low lead times for fast delivery.
Reasons to Avoid
Some reviewers find the mattress to be a bit too firm, this is however subjective and far more people agree with the medium firm tension rating.
Edge support not particularly impressive despite the pocket spring base layer. Edge support isn't necessary but does give even and measured support right into the edges and corners.
No turning handles might make this a little cumbersome to move around in the higher sizes available.
How does it feel?
Firmness of The Silentnight 800 Mirapocket Mattress depends on bodyweight. Adjust your weight below to get an indication of how it may feel. Remember though that firmness is entirely subjective.
