In our experience, the materials and construction that go into this product can make it suitable for the following people.
Memory foam is massively desirable in the comfort layer for premium mattresses.
Roll together prevention means that couples can sleep together without rolling into the middle.
Great value for money and trusted manufacturer.
Some owners mention feeling the springs through the side panels. One wrote that it "isn't an issue when sleeping but feels a little unfinished".
Opinions on the firmness are split. One owner found it "still very hard" after a couple of weeks, while another wrote "This mattress is soft. Not even medium."
A few owners found it hot at night, one saying they "get up soaking with the sweat", though others said it stayed cool.
Sleep in the clouds with Silentnight's 800 Mirapocket Memory mattress. Most owners find it comfortable, some straight away and a few once they'd got used to it. "Comfortable from the first sleep", wrote one two months in. A mattress with an impressive 800 individual pocketed springs for a truly luxurious sleep experience. Memory foam topped to ensure a comfortable nights sleep, the mattress comes with a knitted cover and is hypoallergenic.
This mattress is perfect for anyone who has had trouble getting a comfortable night's sleep. A memory foam top layer like this one should respond slowly and fill in around you rather than bounce straight back. One owner wrote "you sink into it and it wraps you". The 800 mirapocket springs work to alleviate pressure points and maintain the correct spinal curve by supporting you in your natural position.1 The spring unit is zoned to be firmer in the centre third, and I'd expect that to keep a back sleeper's hips from sinking too far, with the pocket springs reacting in smaller sections rather than the whole surface moving at once. Owners sharing a bed notice it. One wrote "when my husband rolls over in the night, I don't get bounced out of the bed". That said, if you're a lighter side sleeper, this medium to firm feel can come across a bit too pushy around the shoulder, and the memory foam layer can feel warmer than you'd expect after a few minutes.
The mattress is medium to firm in support and is 26cm in depth, with a medium tension feel. There's a rod edge border in the build, and owners disagree about how much it does. One found it "supportive all the way to the edge" while another said it would "collapse when you sit on the edge", so it isn't the sort of edge support I'd want if you perch on the side to get dressed every day. Pressure is distributed evenly across the mattress so you won't feel any lumps or dips. The mattress has been handcrafted in the UK from the finest quality materials and it comes with a 5 year guarantee, which is fine, but at this sort of spec I'd still like to see a longer guarantee from a big brand like Silentnight.

We've expanded on the specifications of the product to better help you understand its benefits.
A single sided mattress is typical for the industry and relates to how a mattress has the comfort layer on one side of the mattress. only This means that the mattress only needs to be rotated rather than flipped. The benefit of single sided mattresses is that they require less upkeep in that there's no flipping, but also, there's less components involved in the creation which saves costs.
A medium firm tension mattress is slightly firmer than your average medium mattress. This is ideal for those who either prefer a little bit more support, or, those that have a slightly higher BMI than average. You may also benefit from a medium firmness mattress where you are suffering from neck/back pain as the additional support can help prevent and alleviate these symptoms.
Meets BS7177: 2008 for domestic low hazard use. Testing covers resistance to a smouldering cigarette and a small flame the size of a match flame, not suitability for hotels or care homes.
Vegan-friendly is the brand's label for a mattress made without animal-derived materials such as wool or silk, and it leaves out what replaces them and whether anyone has certified it.
Marketed as spreading weight across the sleeping surface. The claimed benefit is reduced pressure at shoulders and hips, while the feel depends on your build and sleeping position.
Within the core, Silentnight's Mirapocket system contains springs in individual fabric pockets, so each spring can respond separately to pressure from the sleeper.
UK handcrafting is the maker's own claim, while National Bed Federation approval is a membership scheme auditing fire safety, clean fillings and honest labelling.
Individually pocketed Mirapocket springs compress separately, which Silentnight says limits movement transfer and can make a partner's movements less noticeable.
National Bed Federation approval means the maker belongs to a scheme audited on fire safety, clean fillings and honest labelling, not comfort or firmness.
Marketed as hypoallergenic. That label specifies neither materials nor treatments, so check the full materials list for any substance you need to avoid.
Under warmth and weight, memory foam moulds around body contours, an action Silentnight says relieves pressure by spreading contact over a broader area.
Rated between medium and firm. Marketed as supportive with some give, this feel sits on the brand's own scale, so ratings may differ across brands.
Handmade UK construction is the brand's claim. The amount of handwork differs between makers, so assess the materials alongside the handmade label.
Silentnight's Mirapocket system uses separate fabric pockets, with each spring compressing independently to respond to weight in different areas.
Comfort layers are arranged for sleeping on the upper face only, so routine care involves rotating the mattress head to foot without flipping it.
Quilting stitches the cover and padding together in a pattern, creating a textured finish. The cover forms part of the mattress's surface feel.
Only one side is intended for sleeping. Do not flip it; rotate from head to foot as instructed by the maker to spread wear across the surface.
The materials are pitched as less likely to trigger allergic reactions, so their composition is worth comparing with any known sensitivities.
Sold as fire resistant, not fireproof, with no test standard or testing conditions specified, so keep it away from flames and heat sources.
Knitted fabric uses interlocking loops that allow some stretch, so the cover can flex with the cushioning beneath it as pressure changes.
UK handcrafting is the brand's own description, and the share done by hand differs between makers, so weigh the materials alongside it.
Silentnight says zoned springs use varying resistance to target support at areas where your body presses into the sleeping surface.
Each of the 800 Mirapocket springs sits in its own fabric pocket, so they compress separately along the length of your body.
With 26cm (about 10.2 inches) of thickness, allow enough fitted-sheet pocket depth and factor it into the total bed height.
Memory foam responds to warmth and pressure by taking your body's shape, then slowly returning to its original shape.
On its maker's scale, medium to firm is billed as having less give than medium, for buyers seeking a firmer surface.
A five year guarantee comes with it. Check the retailer's terms for the fault criteria and for how to make a claim.
At 26cm deep, about 10.2 inches, the mattress needs a fitted sheet with enough pocket depth to accommodate it.
Reinforced edges are said to help the sides retain their shape when sat on and make more of the width usable.
An 800 pocket spring count applies to one size, with foam layers often providing much of the comfort.
Memory foam adds cushioning above the support system, responding to warmth and weight.
Memory foam sits beneath soft white polyester fibre filling.
Five years of guarantee cover come with it.
