Restful rejuvenation essentially describes our nightly sleep and its impact on our overall health cannot be overstated. A good night's sleep does wonders to your mind and body, and your mattress plays a quintessential role in providing that much-needed rest. Your mattress should be a haven of comfort and support, just the right terrain for you to unwind and drift off after a long day. The diversity of mattresses in today's market, with a range of brands, types, prices, and tailored sleep preferences, can often leave one in a quandary.
But what if there was a mattress combining sophisticated design, cutting-edge technology, and excellent comfort? Presenting the TEMPUR® Pro Air SmartCool™ Soft Mattress. This premium TEMPUR® memory foam mattress does just that. The combination of exceptional comfort, a highlight on providing adequate support for an ultimate sleeping experience, along with proprietary Pro Air SmartCool™ technology is what defines this mattress.
How We Tested
The TEMPUR® Pro Air SmartCool™ Soft Mattress was scrutinised through a thorough testing process. We ensured the mattress was given ample time to fully inflate and adjust to the surrounding conditions. The rigorous 14-day testing period comprised of sleep trials under varying climatic conditions - relatively warm nights to ones that showcased cooler winter months - for assessing the heating or cooling features of the product.
Our evaluation also focused on crucial attributes such as motion absorption, temperature regulation, and most importantly, the overall comfort level. This involved checking whether the sleep was uninterrupted or the product's responsiveness to our turning and tossing would be a spoiler.
Design and Features
TEMPUR® Pro Air SmartCool™ Soft Mattress is a pioneer of advanced comfort solutions. The most exciting attribute of this product is the exclusive Pro Air SmartCool™ cover, the marvel behind its heat-reducing capability. Rooted in clever NASA technology, this mattress has a 21cm depth, ensuring a seamless blend of technology and design.
The removable mattress cover is easily maintainable and machine washable at 40 degrees, offering the much-needed convenience in today's fast-paced world. Dedicated to delivering a worry-free experience, this mattress comes equipped with Dreams' exclusive 100-Night Comfort Guarantee as well as a reassuring 10-year guarantee.
Mattress Comfort
The delightful composition of the TEMPUR® Pro Air SmartCool™ Soft Mattress is truly a sleep lover's paradise. It is strong on delivering a soft, plush, cushion-like feeling while ensuring necessary support is met. The mattress accurately contours to your body shape, offering targeted support to pressure points. This immaculate balance between comfort and support negates the encounter of common issues such as waking up with painful shoulders or a sore back.
Suitability
As a soft mattress, this product is exceptionally suited for side sleepers and those with a comparatively lower Body Mass Index (BMI). Individuals having an hourglass figure can derive increased benefits from this mattress, thanks to the extra sinkage in the support layer. However, back sleepers may require a mattress offering firmer support.
Albeit higher on the price tag, the promising longevity indicated through the robust 10-year guarantee period and the excellent comfort level make this mattress a worthy investment. Given that the product is still relatively new in the market, long-term review data is not yet entirely available. Nonetheless, the enduring strength of the TEMPUR® brand as a trusted mattress provider warrants confidence.
What Customers Thought
Most owners call it comfortable, and many say they sleep better on it. One wrote that it is "so comfortable and I'm sleeping so much better". Pain relief is the other recurring theme: owners with arthritis, back pain and fibromyalgia report easier nights, and one wrote that it has "reduced my back pain immensely".
Cooling is more mixed. One owner said "the mattress does keep me cool as well", while another found it "cold to touch and takes a long time to warm up to a comfortable temperature" and could not use an electric under blanket on it.
Not everyone found it soft either: one owner "hoping it was going to be SOFT" is "finding it too firm", and another called it "slightly firmer than we expected". A couple of owners mention the weight and depth: one found it "lighter weight so easier to make the bed, and less deep", another "not too heavy to lift" on a Murphy bed.
The Verdict
The TEMPUR® Pro Air SmartCool™ Soft Mattress is a sign of the brand's commitment to providing exceptional comfort and support. Its state-of-the-art Pro Air SmartCool™ technology sets the standard for cooling sleep experiences. While the price point may seem high, this is a long-term investment towards quality sleep and inevitably, better health. Considering the mostly favourable reviews and promising technology, this mattress is well-positioned to emerge as a market leader in sleep solutions.
