When I pressed into the foam with my hand, it felt springier than classic memory foam and bounced back pretty quickly. That said, if you like a really plush, sink-in pillow, this can feel a bit too 'flat' and supportive at first.

When I lay on my back, it did a decent job of keeping my head level without my neck feeling cranked up. If you're a broader-shouldered side sleeper though, you might find you need a bit more height than this gives on its own.
