What can I say well I walked into Bensons looking for a soft mattress My doctor had said it would help with my hips as there would be no pressure on them plus they are so comfortable So looking around I found one I'd given my octosmart mattress to my son it was just to firm for me and I was still in agony with my hips after being promised it would help Anyway a lovely lady named Donna asked if I needed any assistance I replied no thank you there are no soft mattresses here too suit my needs I need a soft mattress She then guide me over to a beautiful looking mattress and I noticed the label had firm written on it she carried on to say I know it says firm but please lay on it I guarantee you will be amazed I have this mattress myself So we did and WOW I really couldn't believe it and I'm not just saying this I'm such an honest person it was like sinking into a cloud I have no hip pain at night now and I've never had such a comfortable mattress it's an absolute dream

My partner and I were moving away from a water bed after many years and we were both very happy. For our own reasons we decided to move away from water beds and go back to the minefield that is mattresses. We both have quite temperamental backs and often feel it after just one night on a mattress that offers little support. From the first night on this mattress we have both loved it, even after using it just on the floor for a while. It's a fantastic mattress if you are someone who suffers from their back after sleeping on a sub standard mattress I highly recommend this one. It's firm and feels very supportive but without being rock hard and still having some bounce in it, very clever actually. I find my body temperature is really well regulated on it as well. Very happy, not cheap but you get what you pay for.

We really aren't sure of what to think about our new 5000i. The model in the showroom was far more comfortable than the one we have received. I have been told it might take a few weeks to soften a bit? However far worse is with two of us in the bed we roll together very badly. We have contacted Bensons who have offered to change it (thank you) but we really don't know what to do. The latest idea is to go up to a super-king and have two zip together singles which means also changing the base unit. This is a TV unit and perfectly serviceable? I would also add when we first went back to the shop they suggested trying a different pillow which certainly has helped and was good advice, although this didn't help the roll together. Any thoughts?

This has to be the best mattress that I have slept on, this iGell mattress has definitely been the answer to all of my aches and pains, I use to wake in the morning sometimes in agony with back pain shoulder pain and leg pain i am a side sleeper. Since having slept on this mattress those pains have disappeared. I also purchased a gel pillow which also helped alot. My wife suffers from arthritis and use to wake in the night with cramps and in a lot of pain, since having this mattress she so far have not experienced them. For a good night sleep i would definitely recommend this iGell 5000i plushtop mattress especially if you suffer pain when sleeping. This has been the best value for money that we have experienced for many years.

This is the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. However, it was really expensive and I have noticed no benefit from the iGel top which was supposed to keep me cool at night - being a lady of a certain age, this was a very important feature when considering which mattress to buy. Also, this mattress was bought to replace a memory foam mattress which was also very comfortable and allowed one person to move around without disturbing the other. However, I have noticed the movement of my partner on this mattress much more than with our previous mattress. I am a little disappointed with the performance of such an expensive mattress, but not enough to send it back.

It's been a month and I'm loving my new mattress. I was way overdue a new one and my sleep quality has been so much better since and no longer wake up aching all over. It's very soft and comfortable. It had a chemical smell for the first week or so- I suggest airing it out with no covers on and windows open every day till it goes. I didn't due to very cold weather and storms but wish I had. It's also quite a lot taller than my previous mattress so find it an effort to climb up and need to buy deeper sheets. No regrets though, I'm sleeping so much better now.

I'm a bit uncertain as to my real feelings. It is a bit high and I usually sit on the rdge of the bed to put my socks on, as I'm 78 and bending over is not easy. This is not recommended with this bed. The mattress is a bit firmer than I was expecting, and I've woken up a bit clammier than expected, and with a slight backache that disappeared after about an hour. I m finally getting used to it I'm definitely sleeping for longer periods so that is a positive. Time will tell as to whether the mattress does not go 'lumpy' as other reviews have mentioned.

Having had my eye on the igel mattress for a while, we decided on the 5000i. We were not disappointed. The mattress is firm but supportive. Surprisingly, I was particularly drawn to this line of mattress for its claim to help regulated your body temperature in the summer mouths (yet to experience) but have been pleasantly surprised with how warm the bed is in the winter months. If there is one drawback is that the mattress requires regular rotation and it is heavy. That aside, this has been a great investment and I've never slept better.

We can honestly say that we had no problems in store. The under manager looked after us and was very informative about any questions we threw at him. After we purchased our bed we were kept informed about our delivery regularly plus we were informed before delivery date with time slot usually 2 hour and then a call from the driver on the day and about half an hour before he would arrive. Very polite and very quick. We received our bed about 3 weeks ago and can say it is very comfortable even being a firm mattress no issues at all. Good nights sleep

After trying many different mattresses at the shop we went for this one - certainly not cheap but you spend a lot of time in bed & a good nights sleep makes such a difference To your life. After previously always choosing a firm mattress we picked a medium firmness to try & help with shoulder pain causing frequent tossing & turning. It has taken a little while to get used to as it feels so much softer with the topper & being medium however it is so comfortable & we are getting that good nights sleep - so well worth the price & the risk.

I am quite satisfied with our new mattress but have a couple of problems. We find that though it is warm and very comfortable it makes turning over a bit of a struggle. Turning the mattress round every few weeks is very easy, despite its weight, and it can be done easily with the two of us. We also find that it is so heavy that it is difficult when changing the sheets and tucking them in. We do however have a laugh that my wife, who is only 5ft 2in, has had to have a little step put at the side of the bed to enable her to get into bed.

Honestly it didn't start well for me, whilst my wife took to the mattress instantly, I had a couple of difficult nights. I just couldn't get comfortable on it. To such an extent I was going to go back to Benson's and talk to them about my options, but then suddenly it all clicked into place from about night for and I've never looked back since. It's said it can take a month to get used to a new mattress and I'm so glad I persevered. I now find it super comfortable and the igel seems to be doing exactly what it's supposed to

Went ahead with the I gel nanotech 5000i mattress in a medium, the best purchase I have made! Having been stuck on an Emma mattress for so long with bad back at the ripe age of 23 lol, this has by far met all my needs and is the most comfiest mattress for me. The high spring count gives me lots of support which is felt but then counteracted with a lovely plush pillow top for ultimate pressure relief. If anyone likes a soft mattress but with great support and temperature regulation this is the model for you!

Bought a double 5000i, to sleep two. I would give this 5*s if I was sleeping in this bed alone, but it just doesn't work for two. My other half is heavier than me, and I am constantly rolling into his side. I often have to sleep facing away with my leg hanging over the side to counter balance. The only reason we have not returned the mattress is that my other half hasn't had any back pain since using it. Our last mattress suited me, this one suits him, hopefully next time we'll find one to suit both.

Excellent "mattress" (hesitate to call it a mattress as it's so much more than just a mattress!) that has quite literally changed how I sleep. Fair warning to people who get this item, it WILL feel hard when it first arrives, however, after a bit of heat gets to it and a night in it, you will swear you're sleeping on a cloud. The movers were excellent, really knew their stuff and showed a lot of passion in their work. Same for the staff in store, very professional and friendly at the same time.

Firstly Bensons service and that of the delivery service was excellent. The first mattress was delivered damaged which the delivery service sorted instantly. This is the review of the replacement mattress not the damaged one. The support and comfort is excellent, it's early days so still settling in, the way it draws the heat away keeping myself and my good lady cooler is superb. Bensons were great arranging for us to exchange the medium for a firm mattress. Even the firm is super soft and comfy. Over winter the mattress bas been great but now the weather is warmer it's unbearably hot. It's the hottest mattress we've ever had and even sleeping alone is boiling. We bought Igel because of its advertised cooling. In my opinion they shouldn't market it as having cooling properties. If you get warm at night I do not recommend this mattress.

Sept 24 this mattress feels soft enough for comfort yet firm enough to support my heavy frame. Its like sleeping in luxury. The delivery was ontime. The guys were great -wore shoe covers to protect carpets. The Guisley Store has been very helpful, The 10 year guarantee helped decide to purchase this new technology. I also bought the gel pillow which again offers great support- I just turn it regularly. I personally preferred the 5000 model to the 2 and 3000

I tried so many mattresses when I visited, all kind of the same and didn't know what to do. I saw the display for the Igel and laid on the NT 5000i in firm. We would most certainly recommend an iGel bed. We purchased an iGel bed 9 years ago but decided it was time to get a new one. We chose another iGel because of the comfort value & the feeling of an amazingly restful nights sleep. It's perfect. The iGel pillows are brilliant too but this time we purchased the contour pillows to try. They are really good, support where it's needed for a back or side sleeper.

We love our new mattress! It's so comfortable - it supports your back well. Would definitely recommend. We had to wait for three weeks for delivery and then they brought the wrong mattress which was annoying so we then had a further two week delay. First of all, the gentlemen who delivered the mattress were wonderful. Lovely and polite and very professional. The mattress itself is super comfy, whether you're a side sleeper, front/back sleeper. I struggle with my hips, as a side sleeper, this mattress gives you a gentle hug and takes all pressure off your hip, which is a dream, and falling asleep never felt easier.

This mattress is wonderfully comfortable but also very supportive - it's proving great for our stiff backs, especially combined with the recommended pillows. If there is a downside, I would say to be aware that this is a very heavy mattress and we can only just manage to manoeuvre it (eg. for changing sheets) - we have yet to rotate it for the first time.

Really great comfortable mattress. Very deep so make sure you get the right sheets, but well worth the extra hop it takes to get up on to the bed with the extra height this brings :) Holds up really well to movement so you can't feel the person on the other side either. Lovely mattress i brought the medium version and I did try a firm in store which felt softer. But now I'm getting used to it be aware though. It's like rock when you first lay on it!! Due to the gel but honestly once it warmed up it was actually ok! And worth the buy. No more aches and pains in the morning. Very heavy as well.

It's perfect, I wish we hadn't wasted the last couple of years getting by with our old mattress, the quality of sleep and the change to aches and pains has been dramatic. Be warned, first week, the mattress felt very firm and then it settled, also when we rotated the first time, it very very firm. Now it's wonderful.

Was a bit harder than it was in the shop when we tested it but now it feels great. Very supportive and comfortable. It is high quality. I bought the firm version because the store firm version was quite soft when I tried. I was surprised a little bit. My mattress feels firmer than the store firm. Let's see how it goes. I might need return and replacement for the medium as not the same firmness as the store one

Best bed I have ever bought. It is so comfortable, great for back and side sleeping. We had to downsize to a kingsize to fit it in so that's been a slight adjustment but not a big one. I have sleep apnea and have definitely noticed an improvement in sleep quality from getting the igel.

We have had the bed nearly a month and so far we are getting used to it. It definitely is not anywhere near as comfortable as the one in the shop. It's also very high which you need to take into account. The shoe one was super comfortable, the new one not so.

Even though I bought the firm one it is too soft and you sink into it and leave a dent which is obvious when you try to roll over. Also it has very little edge support so you tend to slide off. I have exchanged it under the 30 day exchange policy.

It's taking me a while to get used to this mattress. It feels like memory foam on a firm mattress. Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night I can't get back to sleep because of the mattress. It cost a fortune.

The bed is extremely comfortable but the chemical smell from the gel topper isn't good. Had mine for 4 weeks now and it isn't getting any less. It smells of damp clothes even after it had been aired for over 24 hours

This mattress was listed in store as 'firm' but it isn't, at best it's a medium. It's comfy but has taken weeks to really start getting used to it. Not as good as our old iGel mattress for sure.
