The PlushTech Mattress is busy before anyone lies down on it. Furniture Village gives it a stack of branded systems: Neo Coil, Micro Neo Plus, Edgelock, CopperTech, GraphiteTech, CoreLux, VaporTech, PureGuard and Elastotech. In the showroom, that came across as part useful engineering, part sales fog. The cooling side impressed me. The main spring unit did not.
The headline is 3,500 springs in king size. Read the split properly and it becomes 500 full-size pocket springs with 3,000 mini pocket springs above. Mini springs are not pointless; they helped the top feel cushioned and more pressure-relieving than a basic open-coil mattress. Still, 500 proper pocket springs is a modest support base for a mattress sold with this much technology wrapped around it. At this level I want to see a stronger full-height unit doing the main work. Not just a big spring number.
Plenty of technology, with a thinner support story
This is a 30 cm deep, medium-feel, single-sided pocket sprung mattress. It comes in sizes from small single to super king, with listed weights of 22 kg for small single, 26 kg for single, 35 kg for small double, 40 kg for double, 46 kg for king and 56 kg for super king. Those weights matter because the care advice says to rotate it from head to toe every month. A 56 kg super king is not a casual Sunday morning job.
The foam package includes copper-infused foam, graphite-infused foam and CoreLux foam, under a Solace cover. The graphite layer was the most convincing part during my in-person try. I usually find thick foam comfort layers start to feel warm quite quickly under my back, yet this stayed cooler than expected. A shop floor cannot prove all-night heat control in a closed bedroom, so I would not treat the cooling claims as settled fact. Even so, the GraphiteTech foam felt better than the usual warm, slow foam used on many hybrid mattresses.
The allergy and hygiene claims are harder to judge by hand. PureGuard is said to cut house dust mite allergens by up to 96.6%, and the mattress is described as hypoallergenic. That may matter for sensitive sleepers, although nobody can verify that by sitting on a display model. The cover felt pleasant enough, with no scratchy finish, yet long-term fabric durability is another unknown from a showroom visit.
Feel, pressure relief and edge support
Side lying suited the PlushTech best. The upper mini spring layer gave the shoulder a softer landing, and the medium rating felt accurate to me. There is no pillow top, so the softness comes from the stacked comfort layers rather than a loose, puffy topper feel. Good decision there. Pillow tops can look luxurious in store and then compress in a very obvious way.
Back support was comfortable for a short spell, although the structure left me slightly unconvinced. The mattress feels clever at the surface, then relies on a relatively low count of full-size springs underneath. That is the part I kept coming back to. Compared with a Hypnos pocket sprung mattress in a similar showroom setting, the PlushTech feels more foam-led and modern; Hypnos tends to give a more traditional supported feel through the whole depth.
Edgelock edge support worked better than I expected. Sitting on the side did not collapse the border, and lying close to the edge felt usable. Couples on a double will appreciate that. The base still needs checking, though: slatted frames must have gaps no wider than 7.5 cm, or the mattress may dip and the guarantee position can be affected. The care notes also say to air it for 4 hours before use, allow at least 4 hours for the springs to settle, and use a mattress protector.
Best suited to
Hot sleepers get the strongest case for buying this. The graphite-infused foam actually did something noticeable in store, and that is rare enough to mention. Side sleepers wanting a cushioned medium feel should also shortlist it, provided they are happy with a mattress that cannot be turned over.
Very firm mattress buyers should skip it. Heavier sleepers need to be more cautious too, because the main support layer is the weak link in the story. The 3,500-spring figure sounds premium until the 500 pocket spring detail appears. That detail would push me to compare it directly with Simba Hybrid Pro or a firmer Harrison Spinks model before ordering.
Final take
The PlushTech is a good cooling mattress with an over-dressed specification. I liked the surface comfort and the edge support, and the graphite foam earned its place. The spring construction still feels like a compromise hidden behind a large number. I would buy it for heat control, not for the most convincing pocket spring build on the shop floor.
