So I've come to recognise that memory foam mattresses often divide opinion. Some swear by the contouring comfort, while others struggle with the heat retention and lack of bounce. The Eve Sleep Premium Foam Mattress aims to tackle these common concerns with a graphite-infused cooling layer, zoned support, and an antimicrobial quilted cover. But does it truly deliver on these promises? Owners can't agree on how firm it is. Here's my full analysis.
Construction & Design
At first glance, the Eve Premium Foam Mattress doesn't seem too different from your standard high-end memory foam bed. But a closer look at its 28cm profile reveals a layered design that's engineered for both support and comfort, a balance that some all-foam mattresses struggle to achieve.
The mattress starts with a quilted top cover, infused with silver threads designed to provide antimicrobial and antibacterial protection. While it may not be the first thing you consider when buying a mattress, hygiene is an underrated factor in long-term comfort. A bed that stays fresher for longer is one less thing to worry about, especially for allergy sufferers.
On the previous generation, the first comfort layer beneath the cover was a 2cm open-cell foam infused with graphite. Graphite is known for its heat-dissipating properties, and here, it's integrated into a breathable foam to prevent heat buildup. Firmness & Sleep Performance
Eve rates the Premium Foam Mattress as medium-firm, but plenty of owners put it firmer than that. One wrote: "If this is medium firm, I dread to think how hard firm would be." It has a slightly firmer-than-average feel, which is common in high-end foam mattresses designed for long-term durability. If you're used to super-plush, sink-in memory foam, this might feel a bit firmer than expected. The medium-firm feel makes it ideal for back and stomach sleepers, though side sleepers who prefer a softer feel might want to explore other options.
In terms of value, it's priced competitively within the premium foam market, offering better materials and durability than lower-tier memory foam mattresses. If you're upgrading from a budget mattress or an older model that's lost its support, you'll likely feel an immediate improvement in sleep quality. However, those who prefer an ultra-plush or ultra-firm sleeping surface might need to look elsewhere.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely, if you're after a premium foam mattress that balances comfort with long-term support. It's a solid investment for those who want pressure relief without excessive sinkage, and it performs well in temperature regulation compared to standard memory foam options. While it won't be the perfect choice for everyone, for the right sleeper, this mattress could be the one that improves their nights.
