Eve vs DreamCloud Mattress Reviews

These really are very good mattresses! One of my main concerns was the reports and even some of Eve's own documentation regarding the new smell / odour of the mattress as from experience things that give off an odour tend to make me feel unwell pretty quickly, this mattress does give off an odour but apart from a slight headache on the first night it really hasn't affected me since. No the smell does not entirely disappear after 48 hours as some say, but it does get progressively better, make sure to air the room well and regularly, also move on the mattress to get air to pass through it... hopefully if you give this mattress a chance like us you'll find it very comfortable and super supportive, if this mattress can keep delivering this level of comfort and support for 10 years it will be money well spent. It is an expensive mattress though and I would have like to see a bit more attention to a few areas, the mattress has a removable washable cover and that's fantastic, but it means the handles are located under the mattress which means lifting the rather heavy mattress to access the handles, there needs to be a better solution here. We find the mattress firmness just right but others who try it think it would be too hard for them. Overall if this mattress does last out the 10 year guarantee period then I'll have to remember to come back to this review and give it the full five stars for Quality and Value For Money but for now it's too expensive and too new to go that far.

I wrote the following review on November 18th 2020 two weeks after using my Eve Sleep Hybrid mattress. Everything I said then still applies and I love the mattress. Brilliant product and fantastic sleep every night. I have been getting up every morning for nearly a year with back pain. Knowing I wanted a new mattress, searched the internet looking at all sorts of different products with varying prices. I looked at various reviews, but none seemed conclusive, so signed up for Which. A good move because Eve Sleep was not on my list. The review for the Premium Hybrid Mattress was exceptional. I ordered online, and the process was incredibly simple. It could not be better. Notifications of delivery were brilliant, and I even got a call 30 minutes before the delivery arrival. The guys were so good and polite. The mattress comes in a box, and the instructions give all the information in a truly clear manner on how to unpack and install on the bed. I left the mattress for 24 hours before using, although this is not necessary. I knew after the first night sleeping on the mattress, it was without any doubt a brilliant purchase. I have now been sleeping on my Eve Mattress for two weeks, and it is fantastic. I look forward to going to bed and do not want to get up in the morning. The whole experience from beginning to end has been exceptional. It is very reassuring to know there are still companies that give a faultless service and have a product to match.

We bought the original hybrid mattress double after reading Which reviews, it turned out to be a on the firm side for us so we returned it after around 50 nights. The customer service, ordering, delivery and return process was excellent. We are both mostly side sleepers, I experienced hip pain/pressure during the night and had to change position often and my husband just felt that it was too firm for him. We were still a little tired through the day and put it down to our personal discomfort in the end, the mattress was supportive and we had no back pains in the morning. I had ordered a replacement mattress so that we weren't left without anything to sleep on and contacted eve to return the original hybrid once we had a delivery date. The return process was hassle free and very efficient, we found that we were able to give three dates for the return and add any comments. In hindsight, knowing that the return was so well organised, we would have trialled the mattress for longer to see if it softened up a little or we adjusted to it more as it would still have been easy enough to organise a replacement if it was needed. I was just worried that our trial period would run out before we could get anything sorted but the process was much quicker than I thought. We have still to find the perfect mattress for us and do regret the return without persevering a little longer as the replacment that we did order is terrible.

Purchased is Mattress 27 days ago myself and my wife are still wakening up the Morning with the Same Hip Pains that we had before. So contact this company now 3 times but have been told after 12 Days you pay 10% so they want £56? Even if was going to take an other mattress if more expensive you pay the Difference iagree.. But if the mattres was say £200 Cheaper you don't get nothing for an exchange so that my reason that want Refund But Told they don't do Refunds.if get a other mattress you pay again the delivery cost again so Beforei even look at a mattress iam going to be £96 out of Pocket you pay the £39.99 exchange I'd rather Loose my £500 then Do Trading with this Company of vomet an other Panny.. The Parts they don't Tell you as for the chap on the phone that I spoke to this after noon was clueless apart from telling me not intiteled to any Refund he was so useless and I was about falling asleep with him and told him that three times your so slow am about falling asleep let me talk to some body else but refused as half the time I don't think he was even listening to my complaint and told him you are already steeling £96?? For nothing advent charge.. but must purchase from this shower that to be Honnest now wish had just stuck with Dreams for Bed Hastle Free and Delivery is free even if you don't want the Bed picked free and no Hastle Refund..So if your thinking in purchasing a bed you only get one chance or it's going to COST YOU.£100 For Nothing they Don't Have A Refund Policy..Will take your Money But Don't Expect Anything in Return yo Will Be The Same As ME £100 out of Pocket For Returning something you Seat on for Five Minutes and Thought that felt comfortable and right for you Remember that mattress in the shop has been sat on and tested probably Thousands of times Yes it Feels Soft and Comfortable.. You Then only Have 12 Days to change it..After that like me you will loose £95.. before you more for another..Take This On Board Before you Purchase Think Twice..A Company that only help if the Goods Are Flawed. I did an awful lot of research into this mattress before deciding to buy. I was suffering from hip and back pain after a nights sleep and my sleep was being disturbed and I concluded that the DreamCloud would help - off course I could not try it out first but was aware of the class leading return option of 365 days so felt reassured. On arrival and because of Covid my mattress was delivered to my doorstep and as it was Kingsize and though it was shrink wrapped it was neither small nor light and took two of us to get it upstairs. We opened the box at both ends and lifted it off the DreamCloud which we then lifted onto the bed. The box contains a cutting tool to help you remove the shrink wrap and once you break the seal there will be a loud hissing noise as air is sucked into the mattress as it begins to expand - two of us kept cutting away the shrink wrap as it expanded and note that before you begin this process it is not easy to determine if your DreamCloud will be upside down. As we continued to cut away and remove the packaging the mattress continued to expand quite quickly. Our mattress was the right way up so once unpackaged we opened a window to let it air and left it unmade for several hours to give it as much time as possible to expand. They say some brands of shrink wrap mattress give off a nasty smell once opened but that was certainly not the case with the DreamCloud. It was probably 7 hours before we made the bed up for sleep and it looked almost fully expanded though it would continue to expand over the next couple of days. They say you have to give any new mattress a good few days of use before you can begin to appreciate it (or not) and I have to admit that at first I felt it was no better than our old mattress and this was worrying. At 11stone in weight I felt the DreamCloud was quite firm whether I lay on my back, stomach or side and it was noticeably deeper than our old mattress at 29cm and firm all the way to the edges and I was still in pain. I was honestly thinking of sending it back. Three months on and I am very happy with the DreamCloud and I have no pain at all when I wake up and I am certain the DreamCloud is a big part of the reason. It still feels quite firm so I feel I am on not in the mattress so it is easy to change sleeping position. My partner is also happy. In terms of roll together it is not an issue so your comfort is not reliant on your partner and if they move it does not disturb you unless perhaps you are very close when you might notice. At three months they advise turning the mattress (not over, but round so the head end is at the feet end) and I easily managed this on my own using the grab handles that are not flimsy. So in summary I am glad I did my research and I am happy with the DreamCloud. Note that we have a slatted bed and my research highlighted that the slats were too far apart at 5 inches so whilst waiting for delivery I measured up and ordered plywood panels which I placed on top of the slats in readiness for my DreamCloud.

After hours and hours of trying to find the right mattress online I decided on this brand, I bought the - Double DreamCloud luxury hybrid mattress. Wow, I'm so glad I did, I suffered a serious motorcycle accident many years ago, suffered a serious spinal injury and for the last 2 years or so I've only been able to sleep on my left side, I was struggling, I happened to mention it to my Dr, he replied, it could be your mattress, it may not be supporting your body correctly and your posture could be all wrong. After he told me that, I thought I've got to try a really good quality mattress then, so, like I say I did alot of research on these types of mattress, this company had really good reviews and the cost to be honest was a lot lower than other top brands out there. So, the mattress came, it is very heavy, we unrolled it and left it a good 36 hrs, the wife walked on it, as it states doing that releases it too. The 1st night, my body wasn't use to it, I did sleep, but as before still only on my left side, i usually sleep with 2 pillows, but the 3rd night, I threw 1 on the floor, I didn't need it, by night 5 or 6 i woke up in the morning on my right side, wow, i havn't woke up on my right for years, no pain! It's been a few weeks now since we got it, I am now able to sleep on whatever side I want, no pain, no waking up with muscle spasms, this mattress is brilliant! honestly, It has changed my life! I wake up with no pain, no lack of quality sleep. Just wish I'd bought it years ago. The wife loves it too, she doesn't want to get up :) lol. The mattress moulds to your body with a firm but comforting feel, Honestly, if your looking to buy one, you won't be disappointed, best nights sleep ever! 5 star mattress 5* service too!!

I initially had a Dreamcloud Mattress at the end of 2023. From Day 1 it was comfortable and no problems with the settling in period these Companies talk about. After about a month, I noticed that a hollow had started to form where I slept and the side of the mattress had become rather soft and no longer supported me when sitting on the edge of the bed to dress. Being disabled, that is the only place I can sit comfortably to dress as I don’t have any chairs in the house. Over the following month, the sag on the side of the mattress got worse and I am far from being a heavy person. I got to the point where I started sliding off the mattress whilst trying to dress. Hence before the 100 day trial was up, I returned the mattress as being unsuitable. Over the following 6 months I tried 3 other Mattresses. All the sales demonstrators talked about how comfortable, soft and supportive they were, which if you laid on your back they were. But in reality, I am a side sleeper and as soon as I turned on to my side, it was like trying to sleep on a sheet of metal. You could feel the Springs digging into your shoulders. By the time I had got to trying the third Mattress, I was now in real pain with my shoulders and neck and was now just hurting when I went to bed. All 3 beds were classed as Medium Firm, just as the Dreamcloud, but non of them gave me one decent night’s sleep. I got to the stage where I was dreading having to go to Bed; despite how tired I was. These were not Cheap Mattresses, 2 of which were twice the price of the Dreamcloud and all were well known Brands. In desperation, I decided to go back to the Dreamcloud. After all, despite the hollow and sliding off the edge, I was sleeping reasonably well. The new Dreamcloud arrived and I was looking forward to my first night’s decent sleep in over 6 months. However, that was not the case and unlike the first time I tried a Dreamcloud Mattress, it took 3 nights before I managed to get any sleep. This mattress; unlike the first one, seems a little firmer and after 7 weeks there are no signs of dipping/hollows. Any pain felt in my shoulders when I turn onto my side is a result of muscle strain/damage from using the other 3 mattresses and is gradually starting to ease. It will take some time, but this mattress is not adding to it. PS not given it 5 stars as I am waiting a little longer to see if it dips.

Absolutely the most awful, problematic brand I’ve ever bought from. I purchased the mattress bundle, it came with the platform bed, two pillows, mattress protector, duvet and duvet cover set all in white. The delivery itself was straight forward and easy enough, the single items were delivered separately from the mattress. The mattress arrived a couple of days after. Straight away I was surprised at the low quality bed frame. But I went along with it as there would be no excuses if I had a matching mattress with the same brand bedframe. So I let the mattress breathe for almost 4 days in order to make sure it was fully plump and ready to sleep on. The bedding set I must say feels very very nice. But that’s it. The mattress is nice enough as it’s very thick and high but it’s too soft but the borders of the mattress it’s more rigid and firm so if you’re sharing a bed you’ll have a part on your side that’s different than the rest of the mattress. The duvet and the pillows are the most awful quality I’ve ever encounter. The duvet has thick scratchy borders that if gets caught on skin causes major discomfort and the pillows is of very cheap filling, cut into tiny pieces bits of foam, almost looks like what is left over stuffed together inside a thin see through cotton lining. The cover is thick and uncomfortable and has some thick scratchy fabric running through the middle around the whole mattress so very uncomfortable. Needless to say I contacted customer service and explained I’d want to return the bed frame pillows and duvet and they sent me a copy and paste message about the comfort of the mattress. I then had to resent the email asking them to READ my email because they clearly didn’t understand my request. They told me to persevere with the mattress and the other items were not returnable. A few months pass by and I ask them to return the mattress as I was unhappy. This was straight forward and it was arranged quickly. A few weeks later I started to notice small bits of foam scattered around my bedroom floor. Upon inspection it was basically the pillows falling apart. I since then asked for a refund. The last few days I’ve been noticing a sinking feeling when I’m laying down in my new mattress (which was also one of the reasons I wanted to return the dream clouds as it was sinking through the middle), and I checked the platform bed to be shocked yet again that the middle beam that holds the slats together were SO loose, from the middle metal legas that I’ve had enough with this company. I’m so tired of having to contact these people to sort these issues out. plus dream cloud is just the mattress. The other items are NECTAR branded. What is going on dream cloud? Why are you selling such cheap awful products on your website? The only think you should be selling is the bedding set which is nice but the rest I have to say the quality is simply appalling.

DO NOT BUY FROM DREAMCLOUD!! If I could I would give them negative stars. It has been a nightmare dealing with them, specifically management. I bought two single mattresses which were delivered on 30.08.24 and after 8 nights of sleep it was confirmed they were uncomfortable, too warm, tilted to one side, sagged in the middle and provided no support as claimed on their website. I contacted them for a full refund for both mattresses on 9th of Sept. They tried to offer a 60% discount on both or one of the mattresses which I refused due to both being very uncomfortable to sleep on. I was given confirmation of a return and refund being accepted via the phone and by email once the two mattresses were collected. However, a day later they back tracked saying a return was not possible for both mattresses given their policy of one item return per household. At no point was I informed about this via the initial phone calls or emails between myself and Dreamcloud, which they later claimed that I was. They have recordings of all calls so they know that during our conversations a refund was agreed for both mattresses. After receiving the email to say the return and refund of both mattresses is no longer possible, I called and spoke to them again and was reassured there was a mistake on their side and that the collection had been booked for both mattresses and I just had to wait to be contacted by their collection team and not to worry and once it was collected I would receive a full refund for both mattresses. The person who confirmed this said she will contact me back and clear up the misunderstanding on their side. Again, they emailed back saying management is refusing the refund for both mattresses even though it had been finalized and collection was booked. Today I was advised the only way to get a refund is to make a formal complaint to the management team and wait for a reply. It has only been 11 days and the mattresses are uncomfortable, warm, it tilts on one side so you feel you are sinking more to the right side, it sags in the middle and provides no support. Compared to the old mattresses which we have had for years, this feels worse. Do not buy from DreamCloud, do not fall for their false advertising regarding how comfortable, supporting and breathable the mattress claims to be. The customer service team are professional but were unable to solve this issue which is worrying if you are planning to keep your mattress for the whole 365 days trial period that claim a refund is possible. Also, beware if you are buying more than one mattress or item their policy states you can only refund one per household, regardless of how long you have had the item or if it is uncomfortable or fit for purpose. This policy makes no sense as more than one person lives in house hold so if you are buy more than one mattress or other items you will only be able to refund one even if more than one are faulty and do not match what they have claimed and advertised on their website. DO NOT BUY from DreamCloud, I cannot stress enough how much I regret purchasing from this company.
