Simba

Simba have been around for a long time originally founding in 1979, however, they have only been in the bed-in-a-box industry a few years at this point. Simba started its journey with one mattress before branching out to encompass an entire range. These aren’t just any mattresses though, and they have been tested using data from ten million sleepers’ body profiles and over 100 prototypes to help ensure that the mattress and its design will suit the vast majority of sleepers. To date the Simba lineup has become one of the most well-reviewed mattresses worldwide and with the new line-up, there's different models to suit different budgets.

Simba has an entire lineup dedicated to bed in box rolled mattresses. This avenue to market has become increasingly popular in recent years and has numerous benefits, namely that the cost of the product is typically lower due to savings within logistics warehousing and delivery.

Simba Owner Satisfaction

Satisfaction for Simba is high on their priority list, offering an impressive comfort guarantee which means that if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase you are able to organise a return for a full refund. The return process is one of the easiest we have come across and involves letting the company know and they will arrange collection at a time convenient to you. Additionally, there are no additional surcharges, costs or delivery fees associated with the returns process which means you get 200 nights risk free to try the mattress.

After this trial period you will also receive a market leading 10 year guarantee that will further instill confidence and ensure your investment is protected long term.

Simba Supportiveness

Simba have multiple mattresses in their range, however all offer roughly the same level of supportiveness coming in at a medium firm tension. The comfort that you derive from a mattress will generally come from the top layer that sits somewhat detached from the support layer. The support layer is what contours and fights against your body to give you pressure relief. Depending on how you sleep or how much you weigh are both factors in determining suitability of tension. With the medium firm support of the Simba lineup we find them most suitable for back sleepers and those of average or heavier build. That said, due to the inclusivity that Simba has aimed to achieve through its prototypes and extensive testing, we do have plenty of reports of side sleepers and those who are lighter getting maximum comfort out of the lineup.

Simba Durability

People are increasingly expecting more from their mattresses with more comfort and more support on offer than ever before. It’s actually a really great time to buy a new mattress as companies new and old are changing the way they do business and produce mattresses with improvements and savings along the way. The same has become true for durability and while the average lifespan of a mattress before being replaced currently lies at around 7 years, the Simba goes above and beyond with a guarantee covering a full 10 years. The result of mattresses lasting longer is the cost of sleep actually decreases relative to cost and time meaning products like Simba may be cheaper in the long run due to that enhanced and increased durability.

Sealy Owner Satisfaction

Satisfaction is at the heart of what Sealy offers. Since their inception Sealy has offered numerous different base and comfort layers to try and appease all areas of the market. The company has largely remained successful in their plight thanks to their strong support within the mid-tier market. Customers are most satisfied with the company's firm orthopaedic mattresses, for which they have become renowned.

Sealy Supportiveness

The Sealy lineup includes everything from soft through to firm tensions. The most popular in the range are the mediums which give the best overall support for most people, pairing well with the pocket spring support layer to offer full body contouring for all-round support without feeling too-firm.

For those looking for a bit more support, Sealy has firmness grades exceeding firm and entering extra-firm territory. We would personally recommend these only for specific circumstances as comfort is reduced slightly to better aid support.

Sealy Durability

When it comes to durability Sealy performs in line with expectation. We do see a bit of fallout from some of the cheaper in the range, particularly the open coil sprung models which, combined with a single sided comfort layer often do not have long-lasting properties and may not afford as good value as initially perceived due to their reduced operating lifespan. Contrary to this is the excellent pocket sprung options on offer from Sealy, particularly when paired with a double sided comfort layer. A combination of these will ensure you get a long standing mattress that will last far better and in-line with the average expectancy where people typically look at replacing their mattress (7 years)

My Love Affair with the Simba Hybrid Pro Mattress From the moment it arrived, compactly boxed and ready to unfurl its magic, the Simba Hybrid Pro mattress promised something special. And after countless nights of blissful, restorative sleep, I can confidently say it has delivered on every single promise - and then some. This isn't just a mattress; it's an investment in unparalleled comfort, ingenious design, and truly transformative sleep. The first thing you notice is the immediate sense of luxurious comfort. Simba rates it as a medium-firm, and I'd say that's spot on. It's not a sink-in-and-get-stuck kind of soft, nor is it a rock-hard surface. Instead, it strikes that elusive perfect balance: a plush, comforting top layer that cradles your body, seamlessly supported by a robust, responsive core. The magic truly lies in its unique layering system. The natural wool layer is a game-changer, providing a breathable, sumptuously soft feel that keeps you cool in summer and cosy in winter - a genius touch for anyone who struggles with temperature regulation. Beneath this, the innovative Simbatex foam, infused with cooling graphite, works tirelessly to dissipate heat, ensuring you never wake up feeling clammy. But the real unsung heroes are the dual layers of Aerocoil® micro springs. These tiny, conical titanium alloy springs are individually responsive, providing tailored support that adapts to your body's every curve and movement. As a restless sleeper, I've noticed a significant reduction in tossing and turning, and my partner's movements are practically imperceptible thanks to the excellent motion isolation. Beyond the incredible comfort, the Simba Hybrid Pro boasts exceptional build quality. The firm borders, thanks to Simba's Edge Lift Technology, mean you can utilize every inch of the mattress without feeling like you're about to roll off - a fantastic benefit for couples or those who spread out. It's clear that every detail, from the breathable cover to the ergonomic support zones in the base foam, has been meticulously designed to promote optimal spinal alignment and pressure relief. I've personally experienced a noticeable improvement in any morning aches and stiffness since switching to the Hybrid Pro. And let's not forget the practicalities. The mattress arrives conveniently rolled and boxed, making it surprisingly easy to manoeuvre, even for a king-size. The removable, washable cover is a hygiene godsend, keeping your sleep environment fresh and clean. While it sits at a premium price point, the Simba Hybrid Pro is an investment that truly pays dividends in quality of life. It's no wonder it's garnered so many accolades and glowing reviews from independent experts and sleepers alike, including a Which? Best Buy award. For anyone seeking a mattress that offers the ultimate blend of cloud-like comfort, unwavering support, and intelligent temperature regulation, the Simba Hybrid Pro is, quite simply, a dream come true. Prepare to experience sleep redefined.

after using the Simba Sleep Mattress for a while now, I can say I am thoroughly impressed with the Luxe Hybrid Mattress, I looked around for a while for a new mattress and decided on Simba because of the myriad of technologies they include in their hybrid mattresses, not to mention their recycling and carbon neutral credentials. This is the first time I've had a mattress which uses both springs and their version of memory foam which they call Simbatex foam. This Hybrid format is the perfect mix of comfort and stability. I do have back pain problems and this bed really helps that, I wake up and have no back pain whatsoever, it's a noticeable improvement. The Mattress is quite tall, but that's because of all the different layers contained within the mattress. It is meant to be Medium to Firm when it comes to its firmness level, which I agree with, I normally like the mattress to be on the firm side, but it looks to me that the springs provide the best support no matter which position you sleep in, yet the Simbatex Foam, the breathable Zip Off Cover and the Mattress Protector (both of which you are able to throw in the washing Machine) all add up to a very comfortable sleeping experience. I had a very positive experience with Simba Sleep, from the start of ordering the mattress, having it delivered in a small box, and then opening it up, letting it take shape on the bed frame, and within hours I had a bed ready to sleep in. The policies they have like 200 night trial, 10 year guarantee, old mattress removal and free next day delivery leaves me to believe that Simba Sleep is not just out to sell you a mattress, they have clearly made a product they can be proud of and that can be relied upon to help you sleep and to last a number of years. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and I am sure I will be buying more and can more than recommend them for a quality product which stands out from the rest. I actually look forward to going to sleep now.

Having trouble during 5 year with same mattress is hurting our back, we went purchase another mattress from online with high great review turn out wasn't very comfort to sleep, we got 3day day returned policy left we had to act quick to find another mattress, Heard and seen about this simba mattress through family said they have the same then they love the mattress, price wise cost alots so we decide to give it a try purchase and if it didn't suit us we can return it back before 200 night. After we paid for it we got it very quickly delivery same day the other mattress just in time returned back before deadline returned policy otherwise we be sleep on the floor! Shortly after purchase to over two week we slept like on the cloud! It's super comfort! We had a sore sciatica from old mattress and after new simba mattress we never felt any sore sciatica again! My wife have a really sore back for many years with tried many different mattress, she have been grumpy and moan about her back. Lately I didn't hear her moan or grumpy again! We hope this will continue sleep comfort on the simba bed on long term! It's definitely worth it! Only thing we got bugger is we purchase several day before the Halloween promote deal! But good thing is simba you buy a mattress it's come with worth £800 free pillow, mattress topping and duvet! The topping is very comfort and soft, something felt warm to sleep on it. Perfect fit the king mattress. Everyone have different back problem but I am a chef working long hours with over 24k stepping/climbing and lifting heavy on top with sleeping on old mattress was very miserable after getting out of bed to work. But after couple week with new simba I got out of bed with no pain in back and walk to work like I had a great sleep! It's does look cost expensive but they offered a finance monthly deal that can help spread the cost over 3years or returned back within 200 night and money back. Thanks simba! ??

I’ve been sleeping on this mattress for a few nights now and I’m pleased to say it’s making a positive difference. I was hoping for something supportive and comfortable, and this mattress delivers on both fronts. What I like The medium-firm feel hits a nice balance: not so hard that you feel like you’re lying on a plank, yet firm enough to feel properly supported. The product’s description calls it “medium-firm” and highlights the balance between support and plushness. The cooling feature is visible: the mattress uses INFUSE™ Black Diamond Graphite foam (which I must admit sounded fancy to me) to help with temperature regulation. According to the spec it “keeps you cool while cushioning your hips and back”. On warmer nights I’ve noticed I’m less restless. Excellent support for back and hips: I wake up without the usual niggles around the lower back and shoulders that I used to get with older mattresses. The “AlignSupport® coils” and plant-based ComfortCore layer appear to be doing their job. Good edge support: the mattress doesn’t feel as though you’ll roll off when you get close to the edge, and the usable surface feels generous. That’s helpful when two of us are sharing it. Quality and build: the cover feels robust, the stitching seems neat, and while I won’t pretend to have dismantled it, it gives a sense of quality rather than a bargain compromise. Where there’s room for improvement (or things to know) It’s a bit heavier/setup-intensive than my old one: rotating or manoeuvring it takes a bit of effort. If you prefer a super soft, sinking-in feel (the “body-hug” kind) this mattress might feel a little firm. Some reviews of the same family of mattresses note that side-sleepers (especially lightweight ones) might find medium-firm less contouring than they’d like. As with many new mattresses, there was a short adjustment period for my body clock and sleep-muscles to adapt. The first two nights felt slightly unfamiliar; by night three I was into it. Cooling is better than my previous mattress, but if you’re a very hot sleeper I wouldn’t say it’s magic. The spec claims better temperature control but some users of related models still noted some heat retention. Verdict In my view this is a strong pick if you want a mattress that blends support with comfort, especially if you’ve got a back that lets you know when the mattress is doing a poor job. For someone like me (part-time mystic, allotment keeper, old bones) it feels like a good investment in sleep rather than just a piece of furniture. I’d say I’m waking up more rested, and that alone makes the change worthwhile.

Lying on a bed in a shop fully clothed for a few minutes is one thing. Lying on it for 8 hours in thin nightwear is something else. I tried the Newton bed in the shop and it seemed comfortable, although it may have been there years and hundreds of customers may have bounced on it. Once delivered (and Bensons were totally professional in that regard) I got backache after one night. Others have remarked their bed seemed firmer than in the shop. Dreams sell the same mattress but they call it Hagen and rate it very firm which it certainly is. I found I could get my hands behind the small of my back and exactly the same when I lay on the floor !! I also got cubital tunnel syndrome (hard bed pressed on shoulder and elbow causing pain down arm and little finger went numb !) A topper improved things a bit but if you need a topper to make your bed comfy you're probably lying on the wrong bed ! After a week of pain I decided to switch to a medium Newton which you wouldn't know existed if you only went in the store and didn't look online. I zoom called Bensons HQ who confirmed none of their shops displayed it. So why didn't I order a medium in the first place ? I didn't like the idea of buying a bed I hadn't tried first (if that is any guide) but in the end I was forced to ! Now medium doesn't mean soft. It just means slightly less firm !! I phoned Sealy HQ who explained the only difference is Newton Medium has firm and medium foam, not extra firm foam like their firm version. I'd give Newton firm a 9/10 rating for firmness and Newton Medium 7/10 although that may ease to a 6 in a few months. Incidentally I did consider the Bronte too. I had a pillow top but found it got frayed and torn after 6 years (I'm a restless sleeper), was heavier to turn, higher and the sheets didn't fit. As others have mentioned I found it warm to lie on after just 10 minutes so wondered how hot it would be after 8 hours. To be brutally honest I didn't think it worth an extra £400 which is a lot for a pensioner ! If you want a soft top buy a mattress topper for the Newton Medium and save yourself the extra expense. A final point, I found the Newton Medium somewhat lighter than the firm, probably due to the lack of hard heavy-duty foam.

I spend a lot of time in bed due to a chronic disability and my husband suffers from back and hip pain. I have previously bought Sealy mattresses so when we needed a new one we bought this Sealy mattress. Initially it may seem expensive but when you're in terrible pain 24/7 this is by far the most comfortable mattress out there. Before buying Sealy 20 plus years ago I felt as if my mattress was attacking me! What a blessed relief to find this one. My husband was rather shocked at the price but the next day the first thing he said was "wow, my pain has gone" when you consider how long you're in bed over a life time a good mattress is so important and the cost over the years pays for itself. I honestly can't recommend this highly enough. Always buying from Bensons has made the experience a pleasure from visiting the show room, laying on the mattresses (for hours!!) very knowledgable sales personnel, through to delivery and taking out old mattress away was excellent. Once you've "found the one" you'll not want to go anywhere else!! Do swivel your mattress regularly as it will increase its lifespan! It's easy to do! I use a good mattress protector first, then my electric blanket, then a second mattress protector followed by a fitted sheet etc. My last Sealy mattress lasted 12 years, baring in mind I'm in it 85% of the time. It should be changed sooner but the guys couldn't believe how great it still looked. My daughter, in her 30's also has a similar mattress and finds it helps her aches too. Always buying a suitable base to put your mattress on! I have a very soft brush that we use to gently brush the mattress to remove any dust etc. it also has plenty of hand grips to use when swivelling the mattress around so you're not always sleeping on same area and my husband does this every time the bedding is changed, you care for your mattress and it'll take care of you!!

I've struggled with my sleep for years. I've had memory foam mattresses, I've tried multiple different toppers but always awoke in the night either with back pain or to feel myself sliding off the edge. Out last mattress was an improvement but after having out first child and being condemned to sleeping on the lip of the bed I decided enough was enough. We were getting a Super King bed and getting an actual good mattress! We went to Bensons and tried out a myriad of options. Naturally I was drawn to the most expensive option but I couldn't justify spending close to £5000 on a new bed. We tried the Sealy Newton Posturepedic Mattress and after laying on it for about 10 minutes I knew I'd found the one. It was extra firm and supported me in every position. It was love! We bought it from an Outlet store in Doncaster and got an unbelievable deal on it and even managed to get it delivered the next day. Getting it upstairs was a struggle and as it was being bent I was a bit apprehensive that it wouldn't bounce back. My nerves were settled as soon as it was on the bed frame. No issues what so ever. I was expecting a few nights to get adjusted to it but that evening something magical happened. I slept like a baby! No issues; no waking up with an aching back, no feeling like falling due to the reinforced edges, no waking up feeling fatigued still. We've had the bed for a fortnight now and I don't think I've slept so well in a long time. My Samsung watch is also saying my sleep is on the "excellent" rating. I'm massively impressed in this mattress, I'm enjoying having some actual space in bed due to upgrading to Super King size. If you're in the market for an extra firm mattress that holds you and supports you I highly recommend this one. We also adopted the having separate duvet covers that the Scandinavians do and this has also helped.
