I bought this 2 weeks ago and it’s been amazing so far, the pocket springs combined with the memory foam pillow top makes this bed very comfy and a dream to sleep on! Far better than my old simba hybrid mattress as that one was all memory foam, Good pocket springs from a reputable company like silent night are the way to go! And the fact this bed has a pillow top to make it that lil bit comfier is great, the pillow top is lowkey essential.. The bed come a bit firmer than I’d have liked took 3 nights to break it in, then it was perfect and it’s been very comfy ever since! I didn’t see this bed in store as it’s online only but I’m so glad I went with this one absolute dream! Only negative I do have is the fact it took 2-3 weeks to arrive which meant I had to sleep on my neighbours 10 year old mattress while I waited for it to come, defo worth it though. Positives • Very comfortable • Pocket springs provide adequate support without reducing any comfort • It looks like a well built mattress that will last a long time • 8 year guarantee for a extra fee but wasn’t too expensive for the peace of mind provided • Look for excuses to get to bed earlier now • Perfect size (little bit smaller than my simba double but works well with my bed frame) • Good height mattress! • Mirapocket zoned springs are a great help to provide support & comfort Negatives • Took what felt like a month for the item to arrive • Can’t see the item in any store in the Uk for some reason it’s online only which is annoying • No handles on the sides so turning the bed round is a ball ache!! Overall I’d give it 5 stars so far I may do another review 6 months in and let you all know how I get on with it as I’m aware mattresses can change from 2 weeks - 6 months hopefully this one stays comfortable and supportive it looks well built so I’ve got a feeling this will be the case.. Good Points: This is a REALLY firm mattress, like sleeping on a floor. That is just what I wanted. I have a genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which means my skeleton is not held in place properly due to my connective tissue being 'floppy'. This is the best mattress I have ever owned (far better than 'luxury' brands costing upwards of £1,000) and supports my skeleton perfectly. At last, I can have a comfortable night's sleep and not wake up with dislocated joints (yes, that does happen) and severe pain all over my body. So, for me, this mattress is heaven itself. However, you have to realise that this is like sleeping on a breeze block for most of your body. If your current mattress is saggy, it is probably because it's old or worn or hasn't been turned properly. Do not buy a 'very firm' mattress to replace it unless you want a really HARD bed! Pretty much any new mattress will be firmer than an old one. This mattress is designed for people who are obese or disabled or have an extremely bad back that is permanent. I would imagine that for other people it would be way too firm. So beware of that before you buy. But if you know you want a very firm mattress, then believe me, you can't do better than this for the price. So long as you rotate it every week initially as recommended (after two months you can rotate it once a month), it does not sag. I have had mine about six weeks now and there is no sag whatsoever. Improvement Points: Why oh why are there no turning handles? Especially when this mattress is for people with bad backs etc? Come on manufacturers, this is so silly - just put handles on the mattress! If you are slim, please read the 'good points' - this mattress will probably leave you covered in bruises as it is so firm, so beware!

We've recently purchased the Silentnight UltraGel Cool-to-Touch 3000 Mattress and have been using it for a week now. Overall we're very happy with it and would recommend it here is our honest review. Size & DepthOne of the first things we noticed is that this mattress is very deep – much deeper than a standard mattress. While this gives a luxurious high-profile feel we actually had to purchase a lower bed frame to compensate for the depth and avoid the bed sitting too high overall. It's something to keep in mind if you're working with a standard frame or have limited headspace in your bedroom.ComfortIn terms of comfort this mattress really delivers. The combination of support and softness makes for a restful night's sleep and we've both noticed an improvement in how we feel in the mornings. The UltraGel layer adds a plush cushioned surface that feels high-end and supportive without being too firm.Cooling FeatureOne slight disappointment is the cool-to-touch claim. While the mattress surface does feel slightly cooler at first it doesn't maintain that cooling effect throughout the night as much as we'd hoped. If you're buying this specifically for the cooling properties it may not meet your expectations fully — especially during warmer nights.Final ThoughtsThat said we're overall very pleased with the purchase. Good Points: Extremely light, one adult can pick it up for king size. Delivery is on time. Nothing else. Improvement Points: Extremely regrets to purchase it by below reason 1. It is not 'extra firm' as it states from our experience, and my family member got back pain experience next day morning when sleep on it. 2. Extremely light, one adult can easily pick it up alone for king size, not sure the material is strong enough or not inside the mattress. Since my previous mattress of other brand is extremely heavy and even two adult need hard to pick it up 3. If partners sleep and move the body on the mattress, I will feel the mattress is moving so if sleep on it better not move often otherwise partner hard get to sleep. 4. Edge is not strong than center, so even sit on it the edge, it will collapse and not balanced on whole. If sleep on it, it's better don't sleep near the edge, and you will feel it is a little bit collapsed and feel uncomfortable. 5. This mattress not supporting people steps on it from CS reply and it is claims as misuse and no warranty will be provided. Indeed, the mattress is not damage just very soft when step or push it by hands. It will collapsed easily. So, if anyone have the same case with us that have cabinet on top of our bed, than you should consider seriously since you need to step on the mattress for put in or remove things from the cabinet. Its the first time I heard mattress not support people step on it and it will void the warranty. From our previous experience, it is normal usage since mattress should be a strong product. Indeed, the mattress not got any worsen condition when we step on it to test the mattress firm level, it just not feel extra firm and comfortable in our mind. 6. When i ordered the mattress, I did not take any picture, and CS replied that when we placed the order on Oct 2022, it don't provide 60 days trial period. I was very surprised since CS reply trial sleep is new promotion after we placed the order. I did not take any evidence so I can only believe and accept it. 7. CS are not able to provide any help on my purchase. Only said that we misused since it don't support people step on it and it is misused even it is not damaged. After few email conversation, CS replied that we don't have 60 days trial sleeping on the mattress when we placed the order. We are very disappointing on it since we have mentioned our purchase date and provide order no from the beginning of email conversation. 8. Even it is a cheap model , but not actually cheap in the market that can found in other shops with other brands. Next time I will considered more carefully when placing order. 9. For anyone reference, I am around 65 KG and my husband is around 85KG. So we are not heavy weight person in general. 10. Most people give high marks of the mattress quality, only little give low marks. We should believe in low marks person rather than high mark person review and we are regretting on it.

Ordered a different mattress which was clearly not a new mattress, it had felt missing and marks on it, so I made a complaint and was told they would exchange it but when they came to exchange it, they wouldn't because of the marks on the mattress which they were already aware of as I'd sent pictures, then when I contacted the consumers rights website, they said they had to exchange it and they were liable for the delivery charges but they wouldn't pay the delivery and we had to pay another £49 to exchange this damaged item, if you purchase from an online store, the consumer's website states that by law the company are liable for the delivery fees!!! t They wouldn't budge on that but exchanged the mattress, only this time they brought the wrong one being an extra firm mattress when we had ordered and paid for a firm mattress. We contacted Dream's again to explain and was basically told we were stuck with it. I'm a disabled lady and this mattress is absolutely crippling for both me and my partner whom isn't disabled. I would never use Dreams again. The delivery lad's confirmed that half of the mattresses that people are getting have already been previously returned from other customers which would explain why they are all so bad in the first place. A disgrace of a company. I don't expect to purchase a new item that has already been used and sent back god only knows how many times previously? So we're £400 out of pocket and have had to throw this mattress away because I wouldn't give it to my worst enemy because it's so bad! Go and look at the real review websites and not the one's like trust pilot who remove bad reviews or don't let you post them!

I’ve been sleeping on this mattress for a few nights now and I’m pleased to say it’s making a positive difference. I was hoping for something supportive and comfortable, and this mattress delivers on both fronts. What I like The medium-firm feel hits a nice balance: not so hard that you feel like you’re lying on a plank, yet firm enough to feel properly supported. The product’s description calls it “medium-firm” and highlights the balance between support and plushness. The cooling feature is visible: the mattress uses INFUSE™ Black Diamond Graphite foam (which I must admit sounded fancy to me) to help with temperature regulation. According to the spec it “keeps you cool while cushioning your hips and back”. On warmer nights I’ve noticed I’m less restless. Excellent support for back and hips: I wake up without the usual niggles around the lower back and shoulders that I used to get with older mattresses. The “AlignSupport® coils” and plant-based ComfortCore layer appear to be doing their job. Good edge support: the mattress doesn’t feel as though you’ll roll off when you get close to the edge, and the usable surface feels generous. That’s helpful when two of us are sharing it. Quality and build: the cover feels robust, the stitching seems neat, and while I won’t pretend to have dismantled it, it gives a sense of quality rather than a bargain compromise. Where there’s room for improvement (or things to know) It’s a bit heavier/setup-intensive than my old one: rotating or manoeuvring it takes a bit of effort. If you prefer a super soft, sinking-in feel (the “body-hug” kind) this mattress might feel a little firm. Some reviews of the same family of mattresses note that side-sleepers (especially lightweight ones) might find medium-firm less contouring than they’d like. As with many new mattresses, there was a short adjustment period for my body clock and sleep-muscles to adapt. The first two nights felt slightly unfamiliar; by night three I was into it. Cooling is better than my previous mattress, but if you’re a very hot sleeper I wouldn’t say it’s magic. Lying on a bed in a shop fully clothed for a few minutes is one thing. Lying on it for 8 hours in thin nightwear is something else. I tried the Newton bed in the shop and it seemed comfortable, although it may have been there years and hundreds of customers may have bounced on it. Once delivered (and Bensons were totally professional in that regard) I got backache after one night. Others have remarked their bed seemed firmer than in the shop. Dreams sell the same mattress but they call it Hagen and rate it very firm which it certainly is. I found I could get my hands behind the small of my back and exactly the same when I lay on the floor !! I also got cubital tunnel syndrome (hard bed pressed on shoulder and elbow causing pain down arm and little finger went numb !) A topper improved things a bit but if you need a topper to make your bed comfy you're probably lying on the wrong bed ! After a week of pain I decided to switch to a medium Newton which you wouldn't know existed if you only went in the store and didn't look online. I zoom called Bensons HQ who confirmed none of their shops displayed it. So why didn't I order a medium in the first place ? I didn't like the idea of buying a bed I hadn't tried first (if that is any guide) but in the end I was forced to ! Now medium doesn't mean soft. It just means slightly less firm !! I phoned Sealy HQ who explained the only difference is Newton Medium has firm and medium foam, not extra firm foam like their firm version. I'd give Newton firm a 9/10 rating for firmness and Newton Medium 7/10 although that may ease to a 6 in a few months. Incidentally I did consider the Bronte too. I had a pillow top but found it got frayed and torn after 6 years (I'm a restless sleeper), was heavier to turn, higher and the sheets didn't fit. As others have mentioned I found it warm to lie on after just 10 minutes so wondered how hot it would be after 8 hours. To be brutally honest I didn't think it worth an extra £400 which is a lot for a pensioner ! If you want a soft top buy a mattress topper for the Newton Medium and save yourself the extra expense. A final point, I found the Newton Medium somewhat lighter than the firm, probably due to the lack of hard heavy-duty foam.

Absolutely horrible. This is a completely unbiased review after owning it for almost 4 months now, and rotating it around as per instructions. After trying out a few beds in various stores and doing some research into the kind of bed I wanted in an Extra Firm, this was one was the best *when I tried laying down on it in store*. However, when I received this, it felt like a completely different mattress - soft, pudgy, sinks down in the middle (what Central zoning PowerPack/lumbar support technology? Is this a scam?) and downright uncomfortable. I got this to help with a back injury I suffered a while back, so that means solid support that keeps that back held up firm, but this was the opposite, and the softness of it actually caused me more pain and discomfort in the long run. EdgeGuard - newsflash: it has no EdgeGuard support or technology in it. You roll off the edge just like on a standard mattress. Extra Firm rating: Nothing more than a lie. There is nothing about this that could classify it as extra firm. Other than its bad quality, the firmness rating would be medium to firm. Definitely not Extra Firm, and it was definitely not the same mattress I tried in store. The only positives were the delivery crew were amazing. Top lads. I really regret not going with my initial option from mattressonline, which had the same specs and was cheaper too. I would not even pay £200 for this rubbish.

In the store this was the most comfortable mattress. We tried nearly every mattress in the shop. The selling point was the construction of the mattress and the salespersons insistence this was one of the most popular and highly rated mattress in the U.K. We bought the mattress and the delivery was arranged. First class service. Once the mattress has been delivered and the packaging removed, the smell was overpowering in the room. This was described to us as the mattress "off gassing" and the smell would dissipate within 48 hours. Luckily we have extra bedroom so it was left to vent its gasses. Two weeks later I decided to make up the bed even though the "off gassing" was still there.We have slept in it once, my wife who suffers from asthma now sleeps in the spare room. She awoke in the night in a coughing fit. I am trying to use the bed myself but I wake up with this smell wafting from the bed. This smell was not evident in the showroom. The current advice is to place it in the garage to air properly. I am so angry about this mattress. It's a shame because we have used bensonforbeds regularly and never had any issue before. This mattress will be withdrawn from sale if they want loyal custom.
