We've been needing a new mattress for a long time, to replace our turn of the century Sealy memory foam mattress and divan bed, which we have had lots of use from (2nd hand from family when we got it). We wanted to invest in a really high quality, low environmental impact mattress (and bed) that also ticked all the boxes for comfort, support, no nasty off-gassing chemicals, made with natural materials and market leading durability. This was a huge outlay for us and we've been thinking about it for a few years. We're now in our mid 50's and know that a good night's sleep is crucial, particularly as I'm a light sleeper and have suffered from back and hip pain in the past. Our old mattress was smelly, well past its prime and I dread to think what might have been living in it (and on us!). So, we see this new Simba mattress as an investment for our future. Lots of really helpful info on the website and very enticing video of the mattress we were considering. Once we decided to go for it, we had a bit of trouble paying for the order on the website as I couldn't figure out how to set up the credit facility to spread the cost. In the end I had to message Simba about it and soon after was given the option of having a callback slot, at a time to suit me, to speak to a person. The customer service chap rang me at the allotted time and was very helpful and polite, who helped us resolve the issue, with the added bonus of a further code to use to get free collection of our old bed and mattress, which saved us 50, that really made us happy. We are very pleased with the promotional offer of free high quality Simba bedding as well (2 pillows, duvet and mattress cover), so felt that although it was a big expense, we were buying the best we could afford and were being treated very well as customers. Following the email confirmation of the order after purchase, a day or two later we received details of the VIP service delivery and the date suggested worked for us. So, within a week of placing the order we would get our new bed and mattress (we live in rural Wales, not that easy to get to). Two gentlemen from the delivery company arrived on time, carefully backed up their van on our narrow driveway, carried in the bed and mattress with care, they were really polite and quietly got on with the job of building the new bed. They would have removed the packaging too, but I asked if we could keep it, no problem at all! They removed our old bed and mattress and so within the hour of their arrival we were all set up with our new bed and mattress. Fab! The mattress is very different to our old memory foam one. It's much deeper, heavier and firmer. I'm a side sleeper, but occasionally sleep on my back. It did take me a few days to get used to the new firmer support, but it does have lovely soft cushioning in the top layer. After a few weeks we are now feeling much more comfortable on it than we did initially. I can feel it does give me much better support, as am not getting back pain from sleeping on it. My husband really loves it. According to our Fitbit watches, which we wear at night, we are generally getting a good quality night's sleep (we just need to get to bed earlier now to make the most of it!). For me, with a very sensitive sense of smell, there is also a slight scent of sheep wool, which was stronger to start with. I actually like this smell, and it reminded me what the mattress contains, natural fibres, not off-gassing of chemical VOCs. But, we do make sure we air the bed each day, which is good sleep hygiene, whatever mattress you're on. The mattress comes with helpful information about how to care for it. It definitely will need two of us to turn it every so often, way too heavy for me on my own. I do find changing the bedclothes harder work, as the mattress is heavy to lift to get the fitted sheet on it, especially at the head end. So bear this in mind if you live on your own and you order King Size! You also need to use extra deep fitted sheets. We hope that it'll remain this comfortable for the next 10 years, reassured by the guarantee and love the fact that the mattress was made only a couple of weeks before we bought it (the label on it states when it was made). Nice to think it's not been sitting very long in a warehouse somewhere before we received it. Lovely to know that its recyclable at end of life too and we're supporting a certified B Corp. Fingers crossed we'll both be still sweetly sleeping on it well into our 60's.

Beware if you ever have to deal with simba or rhenus customer service, more so if you go through divide buy. It has been 3 weeks now, and we are still no closer to receiving our products to when we started. We placed a billing address and a delivery address respectively. Upon first delivery attempt, it was delivered to my billing address and I was unable to collect it. Upon contacting to them asking why they did this, they proceeded to tell me that my products can only be sent to the BILLING address. Since then I have been having a nightmare of back and fourth conversations, not over the phone but via online chats and emails. Be warned!! Simba do no have a line that you can contact to get in touch, and their chat lines are abysmal to say the least. Very scripted and non helpful responses as to what's happening with your order, where it is or how long delivery will take. Rhenus have a contact number but are no better. They give me the same generic advice every day for 2 weeks straight: one of the items haven't been scanned in yet, until that happens there's nothing we can do, we understand your upset sir, blah blah. So to answer the question, is the mattress comfy? I have absolutely no idea because I don't have it. I summary, make sure that your delivery address is also your billing address, and hope that you like the products that you get. Because I can promise you, that once you start having to deal with returns, disputes and complaints, the process becomes an absolute nightmare. Sort it out simba/rhenus. I will receive my products but I will NEVER be purchasing anything from you again. Dire, generic, run-supportive and non existent customer service. People are paying thousands of pounds and this is what they get to show for it? Awful work ethic in my opinion.

I recently purchased the Natural Hybrid Apex Mattress, and it has genuinely improved my sleep quality. Im always hesitant to buy a mattress as it isa big investment, And I personally don't feel laying in a store really gives any real indication to what its going to be like. We tried John Lewis and while they all felt good the guidance wasn't exactly helpful and I didn't feel like 60 days was enough time to be sure, I have to be honest I was also hesitant to buying online as we previously bought a Leesa mattress online and when issues arose we found out they don't exist in the UK anymore! So the 10-year warranty wasn't worth the paper it's written on. So we were concerned about using an online retailer but the fact Simba have been about so long and has great reviews helped us feel more comfortable about the decision, Simba have been great and very easy towork with. As for the Mattress we went for the Earth Apex as feel springs seem to age better than our experiencewith foam but we will see thanks to 200 night trial, So far its been great I got on immediately with the medium-firm feel and has helped with back and shoulder pains I was getting from our previous mattress. My wife took a few nights to really be happy she'slighter and found it took a 2/3 nights to feel comfortable and sleep the whole night

Placed my order on 2/11/24, scheduled my delivery on 16/11/24. I made a perfect plan to receive the Earth Range Apex Mattress (Top of the range) Little that I know, it doesn't come with VIP delivery as promised. No top of the range service from Simba. I decided to get an update on 15//11/25 when I heard nothing from Simba and Humber. Due to missing items on the order, the delivery was delayed. Simba was not aware of the error it made, Humber didn't chase it up, whilst I became the victim in this situation. I chose weekend delivery but Simba VIP delivery service (Humber) keeps wanting to change it to weekday! I guess fault is on me because I couldn't be at home to receive it. Instead of making sure the delivery happens on a weekend, I am getting harassed by simba with endless surveys. The mattress is missing, yet Simba expects a 5 stars rating. I was asked to redo it! Now, There is a twist. After 2 weeks of delay, Simba said there is no stock! Then, it says the mattress is still with Humber! Which is the truth?! 2 grand spent, no mattress, no sleep; just unnecessary stress, confusion, ongoing sleep deprivation and disappointment.

We bought the Simba Apex Earth mattress after first trying their Hybrid Luxe mattress on their 200 day trial. We couldn't decide between the two but at first went for the Hybrid Luxe as it was cheaper. I found it very comfortable but my wife did not as she found it too warm to sleep on. We asked Simba to take it back after about 2 months. They were excellent and arranged a prompt collection and we ordered the Hybrid Apex mattress. We did not plan to spend so much money on a mattress but we are very impressed. It is a real step up in comfort. We slept very well on it from day one and my wife does not have a problem with finding it too warm, the natural silk and wool are proving to be just what she needed. We knew straight away that we would not be sending this mattress back. If you can stretch to the extra cost I would highly recommend this mattress, it is in a different league and we feel that as it has a ten year guarantee and sleep is so important it was worth us spending the extra money. I highly recommend this mattress.

I purchased a Simba Earth mattress, I took a very long time researching the mattress, the deal200 days return and the history of the companyit was a big expense for me. I have had my mattress for 2 weeks now. Delivery was extremely good and exactly as promised. I am in love with it. . no other way to explain how I feel. I actually think about it during my day and it makes me smile and wish I could just get into it for a while! I have a painful back and hip for a long time. I cannot say it has healed my back, that's not realistic BUT I have had the best nights sleep. every night since it arrived. When I lie down at night I feel so supported, it's very hard to explain how it wraps you in comfort and support but it is not soft or gives you that feeling that it is going to sag quickly it is just an amazing feeling. The temperature feels very comfortable too. If you are considering but not sure about this mattress trust me it's so worth it and their refund policy is very reassuring, obviously not many are retuned.

It has been 15 days since our Simba Natural Hybid Apex Mattress arrived and my wife and I are very pleased with our purchase. The quality of it's construction and use of natural materials coupled with good reviews in the Press and online, informed our decision to purchase one. Ours is a double, and it sits on our existing sprung divan base. It is a deep mattress, 32cm, and we have purchased a deeper fitted sheet, 40cm and a bamboo mattress cover as our previous mattress was 25cm deep. The mattress feels quite firm when first laying on it but it gives great comfort and support without uncomfortable pressure points. I am mainly a back sleeper but also end up on my side and over the last fortnight it has proved to be extremely comfortable and the pain i was experiencing in my right hip with my previous mattress has gradually disappeared. Obviously this is early days but my wife and I are pleased with our choice of the Apex mattress and feel it is well worth the extra cost.

We decided to invest in upgrading our mattress to the best we could afford. It's important to us to have all natural materials and not be sleeping on plastic / manmade fibres, but this is not easy to find. There are other 'luxury' brands who use natural materials but they didn't have such good reviews as Simba so we took the plunge. Our old mattress was actually really good, just old, so we would have been happy with something at least as good as that. We were so wrong!!! The Simba Earth Apex makes me wonder how I even slept on our previous mattress... It is leagues above. The quality and craftsmanship is superb and it is so, so, so, comfortable. I sleep on my front, back, and side and it's 10/10 comfy in all positions. It feels like sinking into a cloud when you get in, yet it's also extremely supportive (we prefer a firmer mattress). We went for the super king and have absolutely no regrets. If you can afford it, go for it! You won't regret the investment.

I had hesitations ordering a mattress online, without trying it. I called and spoke to one of their experts who was amazing. She went through all the options and told me about the different qualities. I went for the Earth Apex Mattress in Superking and wow it's out of this world! I have never slept so well in my life, it's really is like sleeping on a cloud. It's soft, but firm enough not to give you back ache, so a perfect medium feel. I also got the pillows for free and they are the most amazing pillows I have ever had. You can take the foam cubes out to make it the perfect hight for you, and no you don't feel the cubes at all. I also got the mattress protector and a duvet in their bundle offer, a great deal. The quality of everything is of such a high standard. I've recommended my friends who ordered and they said same - the best high quality mattress you can find I would highly recommend to everyone!

I had tried a 'rem fit' hybrid mattress before this one and it was like sleeping on a brick even though I need a medium/firm (according to dreams bed analysis) I didn't want another memory foam again. This one really appealed to me, the craftsmanship, the quality, the spring count . . the list goes on!! Not to mention a full refund and the longest sleep trial ive come across giving the peace of mind after a big expense. Since the first night sleeping on it I've not woke up with aches and pains in my hips there's no more soreness just a comfortable nights sleep! My partner recently moved in and it soon became clear that we needed a larger bed. In researching mattresses Simba came up time and again, then I discovered the Earth range and I was totally sold. The mattress had a tall order to fill - I'm a front sleeper who likes firm support but a squishy top. My partner is mostly a back sleeper but also a snorer so he is often moved onto his side. He likes an ultra firm mattress so I was a little concerned. The mattress arrived and it is SO deep and luxurious! Took a couple of days to adjust but now we are totally thrilled. We really wanted to love this Earth mattress, but unfortunately this wasn't right for us. The sustainable natural fibres were a big reason for the purchase. However this was much softer than 'medium firm' and after a few weeks there was a definite dip in the area of the mattress where our hips are; disappointing as it's not a cheap mattress. Customer service were difficult to get hold of initially but once contacted was made, they were very helpful. We have very recently returned the Earth Apex and are trying the Ultra hybrid instead. So far so good. It is very subjective, but If you are looking for a medium firm mattress this may not be the one for you. Customer service did inform me that this is the one of the softer mattresses in their range.

We've had an Emma mattress the last few years but found ourselves getting very hot with it to the point of sweating. We've also noticed a bad back quite often. It's so incredibly comfortable, it's perfectly cool at night, there's no boinging around when one of us moves. It's also very quiet ,) The building quality is faultless. Word of warning, it's a blooming tall mattress so you may need to invest in a new fitted sheet.

I have fibromyalgia and hypermobility, and I have struggled with chronic widespread pain for years. I decided to upgrade my mattress in the hopes that it would reduce the pain I wake up with during the night, and the pain and stiffness I have when I wake up in the morning. I've been sleeping in this mattress for a month now, and I have noticed a massive improvement in my pain levels. This mattress supports my spine perfectly, has reduced the pain in my hips, back, neck, and shoulders. It feels quite firm to me, but incredibly comfortable and supportive. I do feel quite warm in the mattress, but I'm unsure if that's the mattress, or my waterproof sheet.

Mattress itself is lovely - firm and supportive while cushiony and comfortable. Natural materials so conscience is clear. No issues with body overheating. Intend to keep the mattress although still within the 200 night trial. Slight smell from the wool initially but it soon faded. The mattress is TALL, which was a surprise at first but my sheets still fit and now I feel like royalty so high up. Removed 1 star as when it was delivered, the mattress top layer had clearly been squashed down in places. Fortunately after a few days it expanded back to its original shape. Simba had offered a replacement which was appreciated, but not needed in the end.

Why did we not get this sooner?! My hubby and I had both been suffering with our backs & me with my hips, no more!! Still no phone call from an actual person at Simba and with no contact phone number there, I have been restricted to exchanging numerous messages with their customer care team - incredibly frustrating! They have finally advised me (only yesterday and 3 weeks after I placed my order) that it is with their delivery team who will contact me to arrange delivery (this is a different delivery company to the one that I was originally advised were dispatching it). The matrass is great quality!!!! Previously we had hybrid with a different brand, we had to return it, this matrass is firm and give the best night of sleep!!!il Both, my husband and I did not want to get out of bed the first night. It has a higher thant usually base and you feel higher of the ground, which is not bad if you have bad hips. It has cooloing element and is made with sheep wool and it is more breathable and keeps you cool at night. If you suffer with perimenopause and night sweats this is perfect matrass for you. Its a very heavy matrass and you'll need good muscles to get it upstairs.

Delivery took longer than expected, arrived as scheduled, great delivery team. Quality and build is good, but not perfect. One side wall bulges slightly, while the other is nice and straight. Not what you'd expect from something at this price point. The mattress is much firmer than we were hoping for and the top comfort layers are already compressing significantly (after only 10 days). As a side sleeper, I find it too firm and can feel the springs on my hips and shoulders. Motion control is just okay, to be honest. Only time will tell if it will become more comfortable, or will need to be returned.

King-sized Earth mattress had it for two weeks now still not sleeping very well on it as I have fibro myalgia arthritis in shoulders hips knees and toes knees and toes basically all over me they suggest you give the mattress one month to break in so bit of an early review my partner is absolutely fine on it but I'm still finding it a bit uncomfortable it is supportive in the areas that you require but sometimes I wake up with numb leg and hip not so good on my shoulder but I am waiting for an operation on that I can't say that is not a good mattress I will update further in the next two weeks

We had a really expensive branded king size mattress for a year and we never got on with it, but when I got pregnant I couldn't bear sleeping on it and resorted to the sofa for the first 3 months! Cue the Simba Earth mattress- FINALLY we are back in one bed, sleeping together and we both get a really good night sleep, even in this hot weather. A miracle! I normally sleep on my tummy and my husband on his back, but due to pregnancy I have had to change to the recommended side sleeping. I actually swapped a Simba Hybrid Luxe for this mattress under the Simba 200 night trial and I'm much happier with this mattress. It seems cooler on warm nights and that is important to me. I understand it contains little or no foam so that may be a factor. It provides firm support but there is some give/flex in the support so it feels slightly more comfortable to me than the Hybrid Luxe. I think it's worth the extra expense. There's no zip-off top cover with this design, so you'll need a mattress protector to keep things in tip top condition. Overall I'm very pleased with this mattress.

Was wanting a natural mattress and this one was the one that ticked almost all the boxes for me. Only downside is s it isn't an organic cotton cover. Have been having much better sleep on this mattress compared to my other awful eve mattress which felt like I was sleeping on concrete. So much better sleeping on natural materials than foam which makes you hot. There were minor issues with the finish of the first mattress delivered. Simba immediately offered to rectify this and arranged to deliver a replacement. The first night's sleep was a bit difficult for my partner but I slept like a log! I'm so thrilled with this mattress, I tried the Simba hybrid pro first but it wasn't good for me so I returned it (straight forward process) and then ordered the Earth Apex. As someone who usually wakes up constantly throughout the night, this mattress has been amazing for my sleep quality. Not only am I waking up less frequently in the night, I'm more comfortable and feel warmer in colder weather without having to turn the heating on. So originally started with the hybrid pro which was memory foam but it wasn't right for us, decided to upgrade and came across the earth range, we chose the earth apex because of the high spring count in the base and additional layers with natural fibres. I'm glad we did, I find it more firm which is what I needed and don't seem to have that roll together effect. Between the two the only downside of the earth apex is the edges aren't as raised as the hybrid was but I'm sure I'll get used to it, been great sleep since the upgrade.

This is the most comfortable mattress i've slept on. My watch tells me that my sleep quality is up from my usual good/excellent, to consistently excellent, and even my HRV is improving (although I accept that correlation and causation are not the same). My only tiny almost-complaint is that it feels every so slightly shorter than the average double, although unless I sleep stretched out longways on my back, I don't notice it. Fine by me since i'm a side sleeper. Great mattress overall.

We bought a super king size and it is just fantastic! Incredibly comfortable, it really helps you get a great night of sleep. The only downside is that due to its size, weight and build, it doesn't fit into all staircases (if you live in a house) and it's hard to move to upper floors, because of the way it's built it doesn't bend (not just foam but it has springs also). Had my simba about 2 weeks, I was hesitant as it's a lot of money, but as soon as it arrived and I opened the packaging I could tell it was going to be amazing! I really like the mattress. My wife and I often suffer from pack and joint pain but have not experienced any since we've settled into the mattress. It's pretty thick so you need a deeper fitted sheet. It loses a star for how long it took to actually get and by how bad the delivery experience was as it didn't turn up 3 times with no explanation offered. Overall, so far it has been worth the wait. We felt a bit odd buying a cheap bed base and the most expensive mattress but it's unbelievably perfect. Glad we went for the top of the range as it feels like we're in a really experience hotel every night now. We had a very comfortable Dunlopillo before but the Apex mattress beats that and all the others we tested as well. It is so soft and luxurious but also supportive and we've never looked forward to going to bed so much. It is fairly thick but I've never felt the edge give the way some others do; some I was concerned about getting too close to the edge and rolling off.

Well after SIX absolutely dreadful Simba Hybrids, we changed to an Earth one. We are hoping this one won't dip to the point where we were sleeping on the side of a hill. We've only had the mattress for a week but so far it seems to be improving my hip problems (trochanteric bursitis) and lower back pain. It's just the right depth and very comfortable. Amazing mattress, really comfy. I've slept like a log every night. Really supportive for my back with a firm feel but soft and comfortable too. Being made from natural materials is a massive plus and is one of the reasons I chose this mattress. Love it! Would definitely recommend Simba mattresses.

I like it a lot, I'm sleeping okay on it and not struggling with the overheating issues I was having with the last foam based one I had. Only issue I have at present is that the mattress is dipping in the middle but it's possible it's my bedframe so I'm talking this through with Simba at present.

I am being asked to write a review on a mattress I never received after 4 failed deliveries. The customer service received was appalling and as such we requested a refund as Simba did not deserve our custom or money. Order placed 3 Jan refund 24 Feb, 53 days with no mattress received.

I bought a simba Apex as I have lumber cervical and thoracic disc generation and I had read that this particular mattress was good in helping support backs. I am very pleased to say that it does just that and the quality of my sleep has dramatically improved after only a few weeks

This felt like a big investment but am not disappointed. I now sleep better on my back and wake feeling more refreshed and with less back stiffness (from injury) than I did with my old mattress. Temperature control is great and it feels like falling into a high grade hotel bed.

A very well made matress that is very supportive. We are finding the temperature regulation is particulalry good; not too hot yet warm. I have an ongoing back problem which initially became worse but after persevering has actually helped it. Generally my sleeping has improved.

Love it. I'm still seeing how it holds up after a few months but so far I'm enjoying it. It is quite large so was a squeeze to get into my double bed frame but it just about fit. Love the plush top. I've heard simba mattresses run hot so will see how It fares in the summer.

The mattress took over six weeks to arrive, mostly without any communication, and was then scuffed from being badly handled either in the warehouse or the delivery store. The mattress is comfortable but one end is also noticeably thicker than the other, by several cm.

It's early days in terms of how it's affecting our sleep and aches and pains but it's definitely comfy and supportive. We were used to a firm mattress with little give. This is different: squishy on top and firm below. Sumptuous is the word that comes to mind.

Really good firm mattress and we upgraded from the Simba ultimate so we have a good baseline! It is a bit firmer but still very very comfortable. Delivery was as described albeit a bit longer than expected which is my only grumble so far. 1 month in .

I like a medium to firm mattress and this one has excellent support especially at the edges while not being too firm. It remains cool even with the mattress protector and does not have the sinking quality I'm not keen on with foam mattresses.

Great Mattress! Very comfy. Partner sleeps back I sleep side and we both enjoy it a lot after 1 week. Only 2 downsides is it has a slightly odd smell that transfers to the sheets but this is fading quite quickly (or we're getting used to it)

This technology allows you all the support enhancements of a pocket sprung mattress, but with the ability to have the mattress delivered rolled and portable. Reducing logistics and transport costs and thereby reducing costs for both the retailer and the consumer.

Pocket springs

Pocket springs are like natures own springy piece of comfort, except they are not from nature. Alas, pocket springs are a very good part of a mattress and often found in the more premium models. Lower quality products will frequently use open coil spring setups, where pocket springs house each spring in a tiny pocket for additional stability and continued support. Pocket spring typically lasts longer than open coil due to this.

Includes turning handles

Oh turning handles are pointless I hear you say. Just try flipping and turning this product without handles. It can be a pain. Remember that mattresses should be both rotated and flipped frequently, not a problem if you are opting for a sinle, but those doubles and kings can get heavy. Handles are very good.
