Good Points: This is a REALLY firm mattress, like sleeping on a floor. That is just what I wanted. I have a genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which means my skeleton is not held in place properly due to my connective tissue being 'floppy'. This is the best mattress I have ever owned (far better than 'luxury' brands costing upwards of £1,000) and supports my skeleton perfectly. At last, I can have a comfortable night's sleep and not wake up with dislocated joints (yes, that does happen) and severe pain all over my body. So, for me, this mattress is heaven itself. However, you have to realise that this is like sleeping on a breeze block for most of your body. If your current mattress is saggy, it is probably because it's old or worn or hasn't been turned properly. Do not buy a 'very firm' mattress to replace it unless you want a really HARD bed! Pretty much any new mattress will be firmer than an old one. This mattress is designed for people who are obese or disabled or have an extremely bad back that is permanent. I would imagine that for other people it would be way too firm. So beware of that before you buy. But if you know you want a very firm mattress, then believe me, you can't do better than this for the price. So long as you rotate it every week initially as recommended (after two months you can rotate it once a month), it does not sag. I have had mine about six weeks now and there is no sag whatsoever. Improvement Points: Why oh why are there no turning handles? Especially when this mattress is for people with bad backs etc? Come on manufacturers, this is so silly - just put handles on the mattress! If you are slim, please read the 'good points' - this mattress will probably leave you covered in bruises as it is so firm, so beware!

I have been sleeping on the Silentnight 1400 Ultra spring mattress in Super King size for a few weeks now and I think I have got a pretty good sense of it. It's a firm mattress definitely not soft or squishy but that's exactly what I was after. It feels properly supportive especially for my back. Since switching to it I have noticed I sleep better with less tossing and turning and no more waking up with back aches. Hubby is especially happy.One thing to note is the height. This mattress is thick and if you've got it on an ottoman bed like I do it sits pretty high. It's not a dealbreaker but depending on your room setup or how tall you are it might feel a bit too raised. In smaller rooms or with lower ceilings it can feel a bit oversized.Moving it into place was a bit of a mission. It is really heavyaround 50kg and the size makes it awkward to handle up the stairs into the bedroom. Took two men to get it upstairs and onto the bed frame. If you've got tight stairs or narrow hallways make sure to plan ahead. It's not something you want to do solo.The mattress is single-sided so you can't flip it but only rotate it. That's fine for me but if you're used to flipping your mattress every so often just keep in mind that this one isn't designed for that.The mattress came with a couple of pillows too which was a nice touch. Summing up it is a firm comfortable mattress with gel for orthopedicsupport and it feels like it is built to last. My back feels better and I'm sleeping more soundly. If you want something supportive and don't mind the height or the heavy lifting during setup i would say the Silentnight 1400 Ultra is a solid pick. Just make sure your room and bed frame can handle the size and maybe have someone around to help you get it into place.

We've recently purchased the Silentnight UltraGel Cool-to-Touch 3000 Mattress and have been using it for a week now. Overall we're very happy with it and would recommend it here is our honest review. Size & DepthOne of the first things we noticed is that this mattress is very deep – much deeper than a standard mattress. While this gives a luxurious high-profile feel we actually had to purchase a lower bed frame to compensate for the depth and avoid the bed sitting too high overall. It's something to keep in mind if you're working with a standard frame or have limited headspace in your bedroom.ComfortIn terms of comfort this mattress really delivers. The combination of support and softness makes for a restful night's sleep and we've both noticed an improvement in how we feel in the mornings. The UltraGel layer adds a plush cushioned surface that feels high-end and supportive without being too firm.Cooling FeatureOne slight disappointment is the cool-to-touch claim. While the mattress surface does feel slightly cooler at first it doesn't maintain that cooling effect throughout the night as much as we'd hoped. Good Points: Extremely light, one adult can pick it up for king size. Delivery is on time. Nothing else. Improvement Points: Extremely regrets to purchase it by below reason 1. It is not 'extra firm' as it states from our experience, and my family member got back pain experience next day morning when sleep on it. 2. Extremely light, one adult can easily pick it up alone for king size, not sure the material is strong enough or not inside the mattress. Since my previous mattress of other brand is extremely heavy and even two adult need hard to pick it up 3. If partners sleep and move the body on the mattress, I will feel the mattress is moving so if sleep on it better not move often otherwise partner hard get to sleep. 4. Edge is not strong than center, so even sit on it the edge, it will collapse and not balanced on whole. If sleep on it, it's better don't sleep near the edge, and you will feel it is a little bit collapsed and feel uncomfortable. 5. This mattress not supporting people steps on it from CS reply and it is claims as misuse and no warranty will be provided. Indeed, the mattress is not damage just very soft when step or push it by hands. It will collapsed easily. So, if anyone have the same case with us that have cabinet on top of our bed, than you should consider seriously since you need to step on the mattress for put in or remove things from the cabinet. Its the first time I heard mattress not support people step on it and it will void the warranty. From our previous experience, it is normal usage since mattress should be a strong product. Indeed, the mattress not got any worsen condition when we step on it to test the mattress firm level, it just not feel extra firm and comfortable in our mind. 6. When i ordered the mattress, I did not take any picture, and CS replied that when we placed the order on Oct 2022, it don't provide 60 days trial period. I was very surprised since CS reply trial sleep is new promotion after we placed the order. I did not take any evidence so I can only believe and accept it. 7. CS are not able to provide any help on my purchase. Only said that we misused since it don't support people step on it and it is misused even it is not damaged. After few email conversation, CS replied that we don't have 60 days trial sleeping on the mattress when we placed the order. We are very disappointing on it since we have mentioned our purchase date and provide order no from the beginning of email conversation. 8. Even it is a cheap model , but not actually cheap in the market that can found in other shops with other brands. Next time I will considered more carefully when placing order. 9. For anyone reference, I am around 65 KG and my husband is around 85KG. So we are not heavy weight person in general. 10. Most people give high marks of the mattress quality, only little give low marks. We should believe in low marks person rather than high mark person review and we are regretting on it.

Ordered a different mattress which was clearly not a new mattress, it had felt missing and marks on it, so I made a complaint and was told they would exchange it but when they came to exchange it, they wouldn't because of the marks on the mattress which they were already aware of as I'd sent pictures, then when I contacted the consumers rights website, they said they had to exchange it and they were liable for the delivery charges but they wouldn't pay the delivery and we had to pay another £49 to exchange this damaged item, if you purchase from an online store, the consumer's website states that by law the company are liable for the delivery fees!!! t They wouldn't budge on that but exchanged the mattress, only this time they brought the wrong one being an extra firm mattress when we had ordered and paid for a firm mattress. We contacted Dream's again to explain and was basically told we were stuck with it. I'm a disabled lady and this mattress is absolutely crippling for both me and my partner whom isn't disabled. I would never use Dreams again. The delivery lad's confirmed that half of the mattresses that people are getting have already been previously returned from other customers which would explain why they are all so bad in the first place. A disgrace of a company. I don't expect to purchase a new item that has already been used and sent back god only knows how many times previously? So we're £400 out of pocket and have had to throw this mattress away because I wouldn't give it to my worst enemy because it's so bad! Go and look at the real review websites and not the one's like trust pilot who remove bad reviews or don't let you post them!

looked around.. so many options.. all different prices. We saw this one.. the design was exactly what we were looking for and the price.. was a bit cheap to be honest.. I wondered if we were going to the end up with something flimsy and cheap.. we didn't! This bed is amazing.. the quality is top notch. Gorgeous thick headboard in luxurious fabric.. same on the bed base. The mattress is firm and comfy. No "rolling together" or anything. It is a thick mattress.. no buttons or springs to be felt. We love it. The only thing we did was get some anti slip Matt to put under the mattress to stop or slipping around. I'm a fidget.. that's the only reason why. Fabulous bed.. comfy and quality. I would recommend it to everyone. Lovely delivery guys as well brought it upstairs for us. Service with a smile. Professional. kept me informed of the delivery time as well. Thank you very much

Overall, very happy with the mattress. I selected it based on the advice from going on the bed in store that assesses your sleeping position. I think I’ve previously had medium mattresses and this one comes up as firm, but I find it soft and supportive. I’m used to a sprung base with foam topper, despite the description making me think this had some sort of micro spring set up it does seem to be essentially all foam. I’m a lot less aware of my husband moving around in his sleep so I guess the foam set up is working. Two small problems that I have with it - firstly it recommends you rotate on a weekly basis for the first three months but it’s really awkward to rotate. There are some handles but they’re underneath the mattress rather than on the side. It’s quite a dense mattress and pretty much a deadweight to try and rotate. The second irritation is that the sheet and mattress protector won’t stay in place. The texture of the mattress cover is particularly slippery and correctly sized fitted sheet keeps on shifting.

The mattress seemed firmer than the one tested in the store. I phoned customer services two days after I received the mattress to have this logged. I chose this mattress as I was experiencing joint pain when waking from sleep on my original mattress. I have to say I don’t experience joint pain in the morning now. How the mattress regulates heat I am unsure my wife experiences hot flushes at times and the cooling properties the mattress makes no difference. But no mattress can regulate for hot flushes for to menopause. The edges are firm and hold shape when getting in and out of bed. There is no roll together and the mattress memory foam returns to shape when out of bed. My previous mattress had visible indentations showing where my wife and I sleeped after only a few weeks of use. So I am impressed with this but will be looking out for this over the next few months.

Really disappointed with the amount of "off gassing" that has happened with this mattress. The smell was awful for the first two days. It very gradually decreased over the first week but we had to have the door shut to the room that the mattress was in and had to keep the windows open for 6 days as the smell was so strong throughout our house otherwise. It took 9 days until we could bear the smell enough to actually try sleeping on the mattress. The chemical small was still pretty strong and the first night sleeping on the mattress I woke up in the night coughing and my partner woke up with a sore throat due to the off gassing fumes. The mattress itself seems comfortable so far, but after having it for 11 days we have only slept on it twice (due to the smell) so I cannot fully comment on the comfort yet. The "ice" element of the mattress is quite cold against the skin which I didn't appreciate when I lay on the mattress in store (as was wearing a coat), so we have purchased a thick mattress protector to feel warm during the winter. Hopefully in the summer this feature will be more useful. We are not overly sensitive to smells but anyone sensitive or who suffers from asthma or allergies should take this into consideration before thinking about purchasing this mattress! Especially if you need to use the mattress as soon as you have purchased it. I expected that there might be some slight odour for a couple of days, but the intense chemically smell from this mattress has been terrible for a prolonged period.

We have had two of these mattresses (having returned the first one because it had a mark on it). Both of them smelt terrible. I can't believe more reviewers don't mention this in their reviews. We slept on the first mattress for a week whilst waiting for it to be replaced, but the smell was awful and both us and the bedding smelt strongly of chemicals. When we received the replacement, we moved into the spare room and aired the mattress - we left it uncovered and regularly opened the windows (in temperatures of 1 degree!) and then reheated the room to try and draw as much 'off gas' out of the mattress as possible. 3 weeks later, we still hadn't slept on the bed and the smell was still strong enough for us to arrange to return it to Dreams. Dreams seem to advise airing these mattresses for 4 hours, but 3 weeks wasn't sufficient. We really wanted to keep the mattress because we had found the first one very comfortable but we couldn't stomach the smell and couldn't believe it would ever disappear. Dreams customer service were very good and we are buying a further mattress from them from a different brand.
