Appalling customer service. Wasted a days annual leave waiting for my mattress, it arrived the following day. Bought two mattresses for two different bedrooms; one original hybrid and one aura hybrid mattress. Although advertised as levels of 7 and 6 firmness respectively, they are much firmer than expected; you barely sink into them! looked around.. so many options.. all different prices. We saw this one.. the design was exactly what we were looking for and the price.. was a bit cheap to be honest.. I wondered if we were going to the end up with something flimsy and cheap.. we didn't! This bed is amazing.. the quality is top notch. Gorgeous thick headboard in luxurious fabric.. same on the bed base. The mattress is firm and comfy. No "rolling together" or anything. It is a thick mattress.. no buttons or springs to be felt. We love it. The only thing we did was get some anti slip Matt to put under the mattress to stop or slipping around. I'm a fidget.. that's the only reason why. Fabulous bed.. comfy and quality. Overall, very happy with the mattress. I selected it based on the advice from going on the bed in store that assesses your sleeping position. I think I’ve previously had medium mattresses and this one comes up as firm, but I find it soft and supportive. I’m used to a sprung base with foam topper, despite the description making me think this had some sort of micro spring set up it does seem to be essentially all foam. I’m a lot less aware of my husband moving around in his sleep so I guess the foam set up is working. Two small problems that I have with it - firstly it recommends you rotate on a weekly basis for the first three months but it’s really awkward to rotate. There are some handles but they’re underneath the mattress rather than on the side. It’s quite a dense mattress and pretty much a deadweight to try and rotate. The second irritation is that the sheet and mattress protector won’t stay in place. The texture of the mattress cover is particularly slippery and correctly sized fitted sheet keeps on shifting.

The mattress seemed firmer than the one tested in the store. I phoned customer services two days after I received the mattress to have this logged. I chose this mattress as I was experiencing joint pain when waking from sleep on my original mattress. I have to say I don’t experience joint pain in the morning now. How the mattress regulates heat I am unsure my wife experiences hot flushes at times and the cooling properties the mattress makes no difference. But no mattress can regulate for hot flushes for to menopause. The edges are firm and hold shape when getting in and out of bed. There is no roll together and the mattress memory foam returns to shape when out of bed. My previous mattress had visible indentations showing where my wife and I sleeped after only a few weeks of use. So I am impressed with this but will be looking out for this over the next few months.

Really disappointed with the amount of "off gassing" that has happened with this mattress. The smell was awful for the first two days. It very gradually decreased over the first week but we had to have the door shut to the room that the mattress was in and had to keep the windows open for 6 days as the smell was so strong throughout our house otherwise. It took 9 days until we could bear the smell enough to actually try sleeping on the mattress. The chemical small was still pretty strong and the first night sleeping on the mattress I woke up in the night coughing and my partner woke up with a sore throat due to the off gassing fumes. The mattress itself seems comfortable so far, but after having it for 11 days we have only slept on it twice (due to the smell) so I cannot fully comment on the comfort yet. The "ice" element of the mattress is quite cold against the skin which I didn't appreciate when I lay on the mattress in store (as was wearing a coat), so we have purchased a thick mattress protector to feel warm during the winter. Hopefully in the summer this feature will be more useful. We are not overly sensitive to smells but anyone sensitive or who suffers from asthma or allergies should take this into consideration before thinking about purchasing this mattress! Especially if you need to use the mattress as soon as you have purchased it. I expected that there might be some slight odour for a couple of days, but the intense chemically smell from this mattress has been terrible for a prolonged period.

We have had two of these mattresses (having returned the first one because it had a mark on it). Both of them smelt terrible. I can't believe more reviewers don't mention this in their reviews. We slept on the first mattress for a week whilst waiting for it to be replaced, but the smell was awful and both us and the bedding smelt strongly of chemicals. When we received the replacement, we moved into the spare room and aired the mattress - we left it uncovered and regularly opened the windows (in temperatures of 1 degree!) and then reheated the room to try and draw as much 'off gas' out of the mattress as possible. 3 weeks later, we still hadn't slept on the bed and the smell was still strong enough for us to arrange to return it to Dreams. Dreams seem to advise airing these mattresses for 4 hours, but 3 weeks wasn't sufficient. We really wanted to keep the mattress because we had found the first one very comfortable but we couldn't stomach the smell and couldn't believe it would ever disappear. Dreams customer service were very good and we are buying a further mattress from them from a different brand.
