Igel vs Hyde-And-Sleep Mattresses

What can I say? I've had it for 5 weeks now and it's probably the most comfortable mattress I've slept on in my 80 years. My wife and I loved it from day 1. The heat dissipation tech seems to work well and it moulds to your body and just feels like floating on air. I can honestly say that we've had some of the best night's sleep in ages. It is a 'high tech' item and as such there are a few conditions that have to be adhered to in order to keep it in good condition AND to comply with the guarantee. Here are a few of the dos and don'ts: The mattress must be turned head to toe ( NOT flipped over ) every week for the first six months to condition the gel and foam layers. It's recommended monthly after that. It must not be bent or folded as this can damage the gel layer. NO electric blankets or hot water bottles, again to protect the gel layer, and avoid standing on the mattress or sitting on the edge for prolonged periods. A mattress protector is also recommended but essential if you want to take advantage of the 40 day return option. If you are all right with these conditions ( and we haven't found them to be a problem ) then I would thoroughly recommend the iGel 3000i mattress ( medium ). It really is comfortable and just like floating on air. Finally, the smell. When first delivered, the mattress has a slight chemically smell, for want of a better description. Some reviewers have found this to be a problem but honestly, for the first few days, just keep the covers pulled back during the day and the smell quickly dissipates. This is common to all gel/foam mattresses from any company and is just a result of the manufacturing process.

It's a mid-firm mattress which will be used more often than not. I was given informative ideas on how to look after my lovely mattress which is helpful. There are a few options to choose from. I was able to take advantage of the Sale prices which I waited for and I was able to access the monthly payments options which made it affordable. There a few to choose from. I'm pleased with my choice and highly recommend the iGel mattresses.

This is the second time I've used Bensons for Beds and I wasn't disappointed. I went to the Leicester Branch at Fosse Park, and I didn't feel pressurised by the staff who helped, and guided me through the range of mattresses that met my needs. In the end I opted for the iGel 3000 mattress. It arrived a week after ordering during the time slot I was informed of. Initially it was firmer than I remembered in the shop but was informed it would soften very quickly, which it did after a day or 2. The mattress is now very comfortable, supportive and I'm getting a good night sleep. As claimed it also regulates my body heat during the night. The guarantee recommends buying the iGel Mattress protector, which I did to keep it in good condition. The protector is good and grips around the mattress very well and is fit for purpose, however, my problem with it is it seems to make you warmer during the night (I've tried the mattress with and without it) because of the PU coating on the reverse side o

We recently purchased the iGel NanoTech 4000i Plushtop Mattress, and after spending some nights on it, I can confidently say it has transformed my sleep quality. The Plushtop design offers a luxurious, cloud-like feel while still providing excellent support. It's soft enough to relieve pressure points but firm enough to keep my spine aligned properly. Whether sleeping on my back, side, or stomach, it adapts well without sinking too much. I tend to overheat at night, but this mattress does a great job of regulating temperature, preventing me from waking up sweaty. The cooling gel infusion helps dissipate body heat, making it perfect for warm rooms. If you share your bed, this mattress minimises movement exceptionally well. Even when my partner moves or gets in and out of bed, I barely feel any disturbance. This is a huge plus for light sleepers! Overall, very happy with the mattress. I selected it based on the advice from going on the bed in store that assesses your sleeping position. I think I’ve previously had medium mattresses and this one comes up as firm, but I find it soft and supportive. I’m used to a sprung base with foam topper, despite the description making me think this had some sort of micro spring set up it does seem to be essentially all foam. I’m a lot less aware of my husband moving around in his sleep so I guess the foam set up is working. Two small problems that I have with it - firstly it recommends you rotate on a weekly basis for the first three months but it’s really awkward to rotate. There are some handles but they’re underneath the mattress rather than on the side. It’s quite a dense mattress and pretty much a deadweight to try and rotate. The second irritation is that the sheet and mattress protector won’t stay in place. The texture of the mattress cover is particularly slippery and correctly sized fitted sheet keeps on shifting.

looked around.. so many options.. all different prices. We saw this one.. the design was exactly what we were looking for and the price.. was a bit cheap to be honest.. I wondered if we were going to the end up with something flimsy and cheap.. we didn't! This bed is amazing.. the quality is top notch. Gorgeous thick headboard in luxurious fabric.. same on the bed base. The mattress is firm and comfy. No "rolling together" or anything. It is a thick mattress.. no buttons or springs to be felt. We love it. The only thing we did was get some anti slip Matt to put under the mattress to stop or slipping around. I'm a fidget.. that's the only reason why. Fabulous bed.. comfy and quality. I would recommend it to everyone. Lovely delivery guys as well brought it upstairs for us. Service with a smile. Professional. kept me informed of the delivery time as well. Thank you very much ????

The mattress seemed firmer than the one tested in the store. I phoned customer services two days after I received the mattress to have this logged. I chose this mattress as I was experiencing joint pain when waking from sleep on my original mattress. I have to say I don’t experience joint pain in the morning now. How the mattress regulates heat I am unsure my wife experiences hot flushes at times and the cooling properties the mattress makes no difference. But no mattress can regulate for hot flushes for to menopause. The edges are firm and hold shape when getting in and out of bed. There is no roll together and the mattress memory foam returns to shape when out of bed. My previous mattress had visible indentations showing where my wife and I sleeped after only a few weeks of use. So I am impressed with this but will be looking out for this over the next few months.

I initially loved this pillow. However, it does go very flat, very quickly. The cool side is amazing for those of us who are of a certain age and suffer the hot flushes in the night. The opposite side is lovely and soft but too warm for me. I love the way the pillow scrunches up under my neck. The only issue for me is that it does need to be constantly 'plumped' and does not keep its shape. I have reverted back to my Tempur Original pillow which is very comfortable but does not stay cool like this one. Note to the designers of this pillow "if this pillow can be made to keep its shape better it will be perfect". I have bought many many pillows trying to find ones that suit me best and this rates as 9/10 and would be 10/10 if it did not go flat. For those of you looking for a cool pillow - it is perfect.

I am a front sleeper and was looking for a firm mattress. Previous mattresses that were not firm enough caused me lower back ache and a stiff spine every morning. This mattress, although classed as firm, did not prevent this back ache and stiff spine. I would class this mattress as medium and think it is more suited to side sleepers. Instead, I ended up switching to the Hyde & Sleep Original mattress which was also classed as firm, but the difference between the 2 is quite significant. The Hyde & Sleep Original mattress does prevent back ache and the stiff spine so I got there in the end! I remember when trying out the various mattresses in the Dreams shop, the Hyde & Sleep Deluxe Ice mattress, classed as medium, felt firmer than the Hybrid Ice mattress which is classed as firm.
