I've had this mattress coming up to 3 years and it's the biggest mistake ever. It was amazing at first, I bought a form as I'm a stomach sleeper. Now I wake up multiple times in the night with back back as it dips in the middle.. apparently this is perfectly normal. It is apparently supposed to mould into your body, no it does not. It dips in the middle. I honestly this there is a design fault with the memory foam but Bensons for beds will never admit to this. I emailed bensons for beds customer service and the advice I received was to sleep on the edges to help flappen it down so it's more even. This isn't even a joke , I have the emails, I was told how I should sleep and what positions. I sleep alone and have down since I bought this bed, I'm not over weight either, that shouldn't even matter if I was over weight, I can't imagine how bad this mattress would be if it was getting bounced on regularly. I'm 5ft2 and 9st so for it to dip in the middle is absurd. I've had a mattress technician around today to measure it and do some test on it. I'm under no illusions bensons for beds are going to tell me it's all perfectly normal. Well it's not perfectly normal. I bought a memory foam topper hoping this would help but it hasn't. They told me I wasn't turning it enough. Wrong - I turned it every 3 weeks, now I'm doing it weekly.. The excuses they will make up to tell you this is normal for a mattres.. Well no it is not, I had a silent night memory foam for 10 years prior and not a single problem with that. Looks like I'll be buying another mattress as I know I can't carry on sleeping on this, I don't look forward to going to bed as I wake up multiple times. And how do I know it's the mattress keeping me awake? Well I've been away for 2 weeks and it was the best nights sleep I've had in a very long time as the mattress was amazing and I didn't get a back ache once. So please let my experience be a warning, there are loads of amazing mattresses out there, please don't waste your money on this. I'm not looking into getting a new mattress.

This is a review for a Soft mattress. On arrival there was a dirty mark on the corner under the polythene. When I sat on the edge of the bed I soon realised there was a problem. There is virtually no side support to this mattress and you can feel the springs pop out beneath the squished side. This makes the bed feel like a double, as you can't sleep on the edge (like I use to on my old mattress) we decided after the first night it needed changing. It also makes you feel quite warm, no ventilation holes on the side of this mattress. Yes as other reviews say it does have a strong smell, but I think this is the case for all new mattresses. I called them the next day and explained that there was a dirty mark on the corner that had not disappeared after a wipe, she instantly offered me Ia replacement, refund or reselect at no cost to me as faulty. I did send a pic while on the phone to confirm. I can't fault the customer service I got on the phone from the lady and she updated my account with the information so the store could see. We went back and spent quite a bit more money on a IGel mattress, this is what we had before from them, but ordered a soft this time. You really do get what you pay for and just remember to check the sides when you sit on them. The lady in the store was also very good and we are now waiting for our second IGel mattress to arrive. I did a lot of research and think this was our best option. The old one we got rid of (5 years old) looked new, we just wanted a softer support. Will buy again from these again one day in the very distant future

An absolute waste of money. I am a 5'1" female and weigh 130lbs and have only had this mattress for about 2 weeks (I sleep on it alone). It's already developed quite a sizeable dip and looks more used up than a mattress I had for over 4 years (which btw still looks and feels brand new). This was meant to be for me and my old mattress I moved to my spare bedroom. I am now seriously considering moving this mattress to the spare bedroom and sleeping on my older mattress for the time being instead. The quality of materials isn't quite as high as the display model in the store and while the soft version is quite soft, it is difficult to say how long this mattress will last especially considering how quickly it seems to be deteriorating with considerably light use. I would highly discourage anyone who is considering this mattress form buying it. I don't know if the firmer versions of this are any better, however, the quality of materials on the mattress that gets delivered is considerably much poorer than their display model. Unlike other companies they also have a very high restocking fee (at 10% of total purchase price) and virtually no guarantee and only 40 days sleep trial with very strict terms and no returns I am very very disappointed and won't be buying from this retailer again.

Bought this mattress as it was advertised as really good for motion transfer, we had a memory foam previously and loved the fact that you cannot feel when the other person moves. We went for a medium mattress. It is a very heavy mattress and felt well made, however when we got into bed the first night we found that it felt like we were sleeping on bricks. On top of that, you could feel every movement, so definitely not as described. We have had the worst night sleep, I am usually not fussy mattress wise, hardly slept (both of us) and we have both go up in the morning with lower back pain and shoulder pain. We have persevered for another 4 nights, but unfortunately this hasn't improved, on top of this the mattress started to dip my side only (I am only 65kg). Contacted B4B and rejected the mattress as not as described, as was within our rights to do so as less than 14 days after receipt (bought online). They have organised a collection and refund. Not sure how this has so many good reviews, but our experience wasn't as good as others.

I had been so looking forward to my new bed as I have back problems, and although my old mattress had been fantastic, it needed to be replaced. I bought all new bedding and pillows in preparation for a mattress which had been described to me by the salesman as the store's version of those used by Premier Inn after my in-store sleep analysis. I love a Premier Inn mattress and can always rely on their comfort for a great night's sleep. Sadly, my mattress was uncomfortable from the first night exacerbating my pelvic problems on my left side. On the second night, I slept on my right side to try and relieve the discomfort. On the third night I was dreading going to bed, and am only now still sleeping on the mattress as my friend provided a mattress topper for me to use on the third night. However, this is not ideal as I still wake up stiff, so I will be definitely taking advantage of the 40 night guarantee scheme - on night 15 so far and counting down! This just seems too firm for a medium mattress.

I love it, very comfortable. When we visited the store we were swithering between the medium and firm, the firm was fine, the medium was also fine, however we opted for the medium on the advice from the assistant Jean, who was great and very knowledgeable. Initially we felt that the medium was a bit firm, it wasn't uncomfortable though. After a couple of days it softened up and now, a few weeks later, its great. Still not as soft as the one in store but we are delighted with it, very luxurious feeling. No more sore back and sore leg. Delivery was bang on and as promised, they called when they were half an hour away. Delivery guys very good and respectful of my property given it was a superking mattress however they did have to manoeuvre it by bending it slightly going up stairs, that took a day or so to settle too. All in all, very happy with the mattress and very happy with Bensons who gave good sound advice when asked with no pressure for buying, unlike another store we visited.

I recently purchased the Slumberland Air 6.4 Memory Mattress, and let me tell you, it's so comfortable that getting out of bed has become a real challenge-so much so that I've been late for work a few times! I know it sounds like a joke, but the struggle is real when your mattress feels this good. I suffer from spondylosis, and my old mattress used to leave me waking up stiff and sore. Since switching to the Slumberland Air 6.4, my mornings have completely changed. I now wake up feeling refreshed and pain-free, which is something I never thought I'd say. The memory foam contours perfectly to my body, offering just the right amount of support while still being incredibly soft. This is, without a doubt, the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. If you're looking for a mattress that provides amazing comfort and relief from aches and pains, this is it. Just be warned-you might find yourself hitting the snooze button a little more often!

Just like other reviews we have experienced the soft centre and dip in the middle. The mattress did not provide the support or level of comfort that we experienced on the model in store. When one of us moves the other feels it and rolls towards the centre. The side walls are so ridged it feels like sleeping on an incline. Not to be used with a slatted bed as this worsens the issue, and we were only advised of this in store after purchase. Apparently, a soft core that allows you to feel any movement and roll towards the centre is not a fault and is classified as subjective comfort according to customer care. Can't say we agree with this as the mattress is described as supportive. Our opinion is that is one to avoid if you are after support. We have had to return this and pay the restock and re-delivery charge, so we didn't have to stick with a mattress we can't get a good night sleep on. Not the best experience.

Well, for the time being, we're reserving our total judgement. We think we're getting used to it but have a few 'not sure' thoughts: 1. It's a deeper mattress than our previous one which was an earlier version of this mattress which we'd been happy with but was 11 years old. For someone of 5'1" it's almost impossible to perch on the edge - which isn't as firm as our previous one very soft around the edge. 2. After only two or three days' sleep, there are obvious dips in the top of the mattress where our lower backs and bottoms lie. This surprised us. These dips don't disappear as the mattress settles. Is this normal? When we ordered this mattress, the advisor explained the benefits of the improved memory-foam layer perhaps I need to call him and ask about it. We chose the 'firmer' version of the mattress and we're hoping it was a good choice. Hopefully we will soon feel it was a good choice.

My husband and I bought the older version of this mattress in 2016 and it recently died a death. We made the horrendous mistake of buying a mattress from a supposedly reputable online mattress store, and at almost 2000, let's say a hard lesson was learned. I called Bensons to enquire if our old mattress was still in existence and the wonderful team confirmed it is! Rejoice. Unfortunately I had to sleep on a camping air mattress for 10 nights, eagerly anticipating delivery, which actually made the first night's sleep all the more wonderful. We couldn't be happier in our decision to return the deathly 2000 "mattress" from elsewhere and purchase this one again instead. We've slept soundly since (besides young children waking us). Thanks Bensons, and please never stop making this mattress!!

We've been using this mattress for a little while now and it's been a tremendous upgrade from our last. It's incredibly supportive and I'm finally getting a decent night's sleep. It strikes the perfect balance between comfort and firmness and feels really well made. It's well worth the money and a very worthwhile investment in your wellbeing. The staff at the Shrewsbury store were incredibly helpful without being overbearing, which made the whole experience very pleasant. We were advised the mattress we had chosen was very popular hence its front and centre display at the store. We used the machine that assesses the level of support you need which determined us as needing medium to alleviate pressure in our lower back. Very happy overall with our pleasant experience at Bensons!

I've put off buying a new mattress for years as I've been worried about getting something I ended up not liking. My partner and I differed in what we thought we would want and after trying every bed in the shop we picked this one. It's soft and cosy and still supports you. My partner is large and tosses and turns a lot but the movement doesn't bounce me like our last mattress did! We've had it 3 weeks now and are loving it. The first night it felt firmer than I remembered from the shop and I panicked but it softened quickly with use. It's bouncy but supportive and not too sweaty. It is very thick though, so even buying an "extra deep" sheet from Dunelm it still slides off. The mattress protector from Slumberland I purchased at the time with the mattress fits perfectly though.

150CM MATT AIR 6.0 MEMORY CR Firm White - KING Size. I initially ordered a medium but I went back to the store and felt it was just too soft. I amended it to firm and have not looked back since. The firm mattress is still soft and very comfortable. It isn't a flat solid hard mattress as one fears a firm rating mattress is (if you were clueless like me). But honestly, I absolutely have no regrets over this one. Yes it was over my budget but I decided on the interest free finance option and bit the bullet. If in doubt try it out on the store. One point of note is it is a very deep/high mattress so may be an issue to get on if you have back issues or for toddlers but this depends on your Bedframe ofcourse. I opted for the Penelope upholstered ottoman bed frame and it's perfect

Adding this review as Bensons couldn't be bothered to reply, Dear Benson for Beds, Thank you for today's delivery and the initial bed buying in store at Truro. So disappointed today on the arrival of our new mattress and why yourselves would send an 800 mattress in such a poor condition. The plastic covering was covered in a black storage dust, this black dust ends on the stair carpets, walls, landing carpet and bedroom carpets. Your delivery guys said to watch the black dust and to wash hands before handling the mattress itself, so equally disappointed following this advice to then find even more black marks on the mattress itself. This must be an ongoing issue and lets the whole process down?

Ordered online after testing in-store. Chose soft option as I am a side sleeper. Mattress was delivered 4 weeks later on the date provided when ordered and brought into home by driver, so no issues with you ordering or delivery. Mattress delivered in good condition. Took a couple of weeks of airing to remove the gassy odour. After 3 weeks usage mattress still feels firmer than the one tested instore but will hopefully soften up over time. 1 star removed for the 40 night trial which seems miserly compared to other mattresses available. If you are that confident in the mattress then should be longer. Otherwise a good process throughout with no issues encountered.

Waited a While before writing this review as wanted to have time to sleep on it and be informed. Fantastic mattress, great value, husband has stopped moaning about his back in the morning. It is deeper than our last memory foam mattress and so I have bought fresh linen to complement it. It seems firmer than the one we tried in the showroom but that did not matter when we had a full nights sleep on it. Did not want to buy online again as wanted to actually try it before we made our purchase. The delivery team were exceptional and the communication regarding delivery and times were very efficient. We really cannot grumble about anything = highly recommended!

If I could leave more stars I would. I cant fault the bed. I suffer terribly with nerve pain in my lower back and hip and barely slept for weeks until I got this mattress. I had a wonderful shop assistant Elaine (If I remember correctly) walk me around the show room and point out each mattress to me. This was the second mattress I tried and could of fell asleep then and there. I have noticed not only am i sleeping better my posture as improved and my pain has gone down a lot. Its is a thick sturdy mattress and it has the cushion and bounce to help you roll over. I would say this is a medium firm mattress. I would recommend this mattress to anyone and everyone.

The slumberland air 6.0 memory mattress is so comfortable. It was well worth the money. It's true what they say when they say you buy cheap you buy twice. I was stuck on a mattress I got with a bed in the blackfriday sale and by new year I was in so much pain so I went to bensons for beds and tried out the mattresses. The sales person was very friendly didn't push to try out the most expensive first which you see in most places. After talking budget he started off with the cheap mattresses and worked his way up until I found the right one. Excellent service. Although I had to wait 24 days for the mattress but now I can say it was worth the wait! Thank you.

The mattress was delivered on time by driver Dave and mate Chichi, they were very pleasant friendly, careful, they unloaded,brought it up the drive, in the front door, up the stairs and had it on bed with over removed in no time. They then took always the old spring . mattress which was not an easy job as it was falling to pieces , they be commended on their service. The mattress is very comfortable and being higher than the previous one, for a man of 89 it is easier to get in and out of bed. The only very minor problem is rotating it once a week for the first few months, but it is all worth while. I would recommend one of this type to anyone else

Bought 2 of these mattresses 2 yrs ago..king size and a double..but to be honest my back hurt from day one and I thought it was me pmys my sides hurt,so gave it time to break in.well all I can say is the pressure points on my side still hurt and its still vad on my back.but too expensive to buy another stuck with it..wish I never bought them.my other is un spare room for family.would never have purchased this mattress if I known how bad it was.steer clearly not worth the money. Paid to change mine twice thinking its the firmness issue or if it was me but it isn't its the mattress thats uncomfortable.back breaker dide killer fir pressure points.

We have finally, found our best bed ever! The medium mattress is so comfortable and supportive. We no longer wake up with a sore back, but feel refreshed and ready for the day ahead. Neither my husband nor I are disturbed when either of us turns over. The memory foam top is soft, but still provides the back support we need. It sometimes feels a little warm, but it's cosy and hopefully won't be an issue in the summer, when we'll use a light weight duvet. Our choice of an Ottoman base gives us great storage and is easy to raise. Buying a new bed is always a worry, but we have no regrets and would recommend this bed.

Have had this mattress for a week now. Yes it is comfortable, I feel like I'm lying on air, but when sitting up in bed you sink into it. So for comfort very good but the smell of rubber is awful. When I googled it the suggestion was to air it for a couple of days in a room with an open window which wasn't possible because we don't have a spare bedroom. Anyway I open my window every morning till late in the day and the smell is still very strong, I think I can smell it through the bedding and pillows at night. I don't know how long that's supposed to last but for that alone I wouldn't buy a memory foam again.

Very comfortable, at a reasonable price. Tried loads of different shops and mattresses before deciding on purchasing the Slumberland Air 6.0 Memory Mattress from Bensons for Beds. We decided to go for firm (I would recommend firm if you have a wooden slat base and medium if you have a box base). We have been sleeping on this for over a month and can honestly say it's the most comfortable mattress that we have ever purchased. The staff were extremely helpful, no hard sell tactics, answered all my questions and even moved mattresses from box base to slat base for us to experience the difference. Brilliant

Literally so comfortable. Great price for a mattress brand I hadn't heard of but the reviews were really good and right! It's so comfortable, I sleep so well in it now and so does my husband. I used to dread bedtime as my mattress was so broken but love it now. Only complaint is that it's so hard to get up in the morning now! I did ache for the first 4-5 nights of sleeping on it as I just wasn't used to having support, but we've had it 3 weeks and best purchase of the year. Highly recommend. Don't really feel each other when you roll over which is good and seems to be good for sports recovery too.

We took delivery of our new mattress about 6 weeks ago and are really pleased with it. We have found it so comfortable and is really well made. It's the first time we have had this type of mattress and wish we had bought one sooner. We are also so happy with the service we received from Benson for Beds. From the lady, in the shop, that took our order and explained all about the mattress to the delivery men who turned up on time, unpacked the mattress and placed it on the bed and took all the packaging away with them. All very professional and friendly. Would highly recommend them.

Completely different mattress delivered than what is in store. About 10 times harder. Have been given the dribble from the manager in the Yeovil store stating that it needs time to soften up and I'm expected in the meantime to simply have continuous poor nights sleep to accommodate this. Additionally Bensons will not follow consumer law and think they are a law to themselves. Even though I have followed consumer law, they will not accept a return on the mattress that is believed to be completely different to the one advertised in store. AVOID this company at all costs

Lovely bed. I've never had a new bed, always had other people's hand me downs (usually family members) I thought it was about time I treated myself. I am so glad I did. I ordered this bed and mattress on a whim, online without trying it first, but it's great. So spacious and comfy. I love the LED lights also. The headboard was bigger than expected and does take up a lot of room, however it fits perfectly in my room and I just love it. Working mainly nights as a midwife I look forward to jumping into it after a night shift. Can highly recommend

Everything relating to the sale and delivery communication was good. I do feel as though the mattress is different to the one in the shop. I didn't realise it would be so deep for a start and have had to buy new sheets. It makes my bed very high and not easy to get in and out of, particularly as it says not to sit on the edge! What's that all about!? How else are you supposed to get in and out. Daft. Hopefully I'll get used to it, but it does feel much firmer than in the shop and I'm wondering if I should have bought the medium instead.

Overall the mattress is all it is meant to be, with one small caveate. I find the overall comfort very pleasing but if I could I would like a softer region at the foot end. As I find it holds y0ur legs at a more accute angle when laying on your side. Over the night this can become disturbing and cause mild aching in the knees and ankles. The mattress is cool enough to be comfortable and warm enough to be pleasantly cossetting, so allowing for a reasonable nights sleep. Settling in will probably help with this but only time will tell.

I tried the Slumberland 6000 at my local Bensons and it seemed comfortable. I've got a back problem so I needed something that would support me, but wouldn't be so firm that it would be uncomfortable. But now I've had it delivered, it is so much stiffer than the shop model. To me it feels like sleeping on concrete and it's done my back a mischief. Every morning I wake up feeling like I've gone 10 rounds in a boxing ring. I just hope that it will get better with time because, as it stands, I can't honestly recommend this mattress.

During my hunt of looking for a new mattress i had tested over 10 mattresses and cam across Slumberland Air 3.0 at the Barking branch and instantly fell in love. I went the Purley branch to make the purchase and the sales agent introduced me to Slumberland Air 6.0 and that was the game changer! Since the purchase my body truly moulds in the mattress and my sleep has been so refreshing. The best comparison I can give, If you've stayed at The Leonardo Hotel, Premier Inn or Radisson Blu the Slumberland Air 6.0 is a great choice.

Unfortunately paid 799.99 for the air 6 slumber on advice from a member of staff at bensons store. Worst mattress in terms of design,engineering and comfort. After only 15 mins in bed we realised it was a big mistake and it has nothing to do with the softness of the mattress choice. It Does not support you in anyway and if you sleep with another person you will feel every movement even rolling into them because of the poor design quality. The pocket springs are clunky and The sides are not reinforced despite this being stated.

After seeing adverts for Bensons for beds on social media, we decided to go and see what deals they had. We had a budget and an idea of what we wanted. From walking in the store, Niall was so helpful. Listened to our wants and needs, and after trying several mattresses, decided on the Slumberland Air 6.0. It's a fantastic mattress, we've had less joint pain since we have been sleeping on it. Fantastic customer service, hints and tips about protecting and caring for the mattress. Had the slumberland air 6 mattress about a week now and it's the most comfortable we have ever had my wife has bad back slipped disc and and I have fibromyalgia we both struggled getting a decent nights sleep on our old silentnight one on this new one we both sleep through and wake up with less pain can't thank the staff at the Bolton Horwich store enough no pushy or hard sell just showed us mattresses within our price range let us try them all even let us leave and come back as we wanted to make sure we picked the right one

After months of waking up with back and neck pain, dreading going to bed enough was enough and we went in to Benson for beds, the lady was so knowledgable and helped up choose the right mattress, she found out which mattress would be right for us , no pressure sale which I absolutely loved. we couldnt wait for the bed to arrive, we have had it now over 3 weeks and have never looked back its so comftable and are now waking up with no aches and pains what so ever. best decision ever, also intrest free credit was a win win!!

Good sturdy mattress and is great on a bed frame with slats. However, I purchased the wrong firmness for me by picking soft it was too soft to the point where I felt like I was stuck in the mattress as you sink in a lot and it's hard to move. There also is no edge support because the memory foam is so thick. Felt weird and squishy like a water bed. Maybe a medium would have been better for me but overall it's a very soft mattress. If you are an average weight stick to medium or firm for softness but better support.

Bought due to bank pain with last mattress. I haven't had such a good nights sleep since this arrived! I won't lie, it's chunky and heavy (I feel like the princess & the pea!) but it's so comfortable. I don't get too hot or too cold, it's got the seal of approval from both me and my partner and we usually argue over mattress comfort so happy days all round. Have already recommended this mattress to family and friends and will be back to bensons for beds when we need a new bed frame to go with the mattress!

Although it says small double it was actually a king size mattress we ordered. It is sooooo comfortable!! We have had a great nights sleep every night since receiving it. We had previously tried an Emma mattress which in my opinion was like sleeping on a park bench in comparison! Not for us at all! But this slumberland mattress is heaven!! After not sleeping well at all on the previous mattress we headed to Bensons to physically try out mattresses and this one came up trumps! Best mattress we've ever had!

Value for money a little iffy, I had originally seen this mattress for 749 two days earlier when I tried it out, when it came to ordering online the price had gone up by 100! No longer in the sale, low and behold now it's in the sale again, as I needed a new mattress and the order time was around 4-5 weeks I place the order. So much for treating customers fairly though! If in doubt, hold out because they will always put it back on sale! I won't be buying from them again? Buyers, you've been warned.

It seems like a really good mattress. I'd been sleeping on something pretty terrible. I have a bad lower back and I'd been waking up every night in great discomfort. I haven't woken up once with my back since having the new mattress. I tend to wake up now feeling incredibly cosy. The mattress is very deep and welcoming. It feels soft enough for initial comfort and allows me to sleep in any position, but there must be enough support that my back isn't troubled. Very pleased with the purchase.

I love my new mattress! I like a medium but after trying it out in the shop the medium in the shop felt far too soft so I purchased the firm. I was fearful it would be too hard but it isn't. The softness of the memory foam top is cosy and the mattress is still supportive. It's perfect for my husband and I know in a few weeks it will be perfect for me once bedded in. I have slept wonderfully on it with no aches and pains in the morning! I just don't like getting out of my new bed!!

The mattress is too firm for me and I was misled by the salesman. I told him I didn't want a memory foam mattress and he said it wasn't really, it had just a layer in it. As we were already having to change the size of a bed previously ordered and the change incurred charges, I felt under pressure to get a bed at a similar price and was just grateful that we were able to change the order. Sadly my hips are suffering, but the thought of another change and more charges is too much.

We read the reviews on this award winning mattress before purchasing and then tried it out in the Bensons showroom in Bournemouth. The only change we made when ordering was to order the firm because that actually does offer great support for the back. We have been really impressed with the quality and comfort of the Airstream Memory 6000 and with the service that we received at Bensons. Highly recommend these mattresses for a great nights sleep and full support for bad backs.

Really pleased with the bed it is so comfortable. Having a better nights sleep. I was worried as we went for the firmer mattress but it is so comfortable. You need to buy longer sided fitted sheets as the mattress is so deep but that is not a problem as there are plenty to purchase in most retailers. The slumberland ottoman that we purchased with the mattress is very well made and holds a lot and so easy to lift and close. Overall a really good buy and worth the money

Unfortunately we are unable to keep this Mattress due to very high levels if VOC's. The chemical smell of the materials are overwhelming and causing health issues, such as sore eyes, throat and asthma attacks. Despite off gasing and airi g for 2 months, we cannot use our bedroom due to toxic fumes. Sorry to say that Customer service not interested. Awaiting insurance inspection. Brand new unused and sadly unusable mattress. Not recommended if you value your health.

Absolutely love my new mattress. Have not slept so well in ages. Highly recommend this mattress if you want to get into bed and feel snuggled. I bought the soft support option but it is still very supportive of my back and hips. Ordering and delivery times were easy to do in store as I like to check out the mattresses before I buy. The bed is perfect for my back problems. It is giving me good support and has a layer of memory foam which cushions my hips.The assistant was very helpful, answering our questions and giving us plenty of time to make our decision. My only suggestion is that the edge of the bed could be firmer. Some older people need to sit on the edge of the bed for a few minutes to get their balance before standing up. Delivery men were on time, efficient and friendly.

When we tried in the shop was much much softer than when delivered. I couldn't sleep as it was so hard and hurt my hips, back and shoulders. If it had been like that in the shop we wouldn't have purchased it. I am starting to get used to it, but is definitely not a medium mattress and no give in it. We went back to the shop to try the mattress in there and was told by the shop assistant to get active or jump on it to try and make it softer!!

I can not praise this mattress enough. We wasn't going to purchase this due to the price as we have never spent this much on a mattress... but I'm so glad we did. My back pain has gone and I actually get a full night's sleep. It's like lying on a cloud. We went for the Firm and it's weird. Sid on the edge and it feels so soft like a marshmallow... but get fully on the bed and the support is just next level I would recommend this to everyone.

A very comfortable bed and mattress. however I was horrified to see how high the bed and mattress were when they were delivered. when I tried the mattress and bed in the store I had no trouble getting onto the bed to test the mattress. Now I need a footstool to get into bed. Apart from that I am pleased with my purchase but I would have been pleased if the discrepancy with the height had been brought to my attention when I bought the bed.

My mattress is wonderful! I've slept so well since I've had it, I'm really pleased with my whole experience with bensons. From the initial showroom visit, where Lewis was extremely helpful, to the delivery, which was on time and the guys were friendly and efficient, and finally to using the mattress. I would recommend Bensons based on everything, but the fact that there are actual showrooms to try the products is so important, we'll done!

Bought this to replace an old traditional sprung mattress and things have moved on so much. Feels like you sink into it as soon as you lie down thanks to the 6cm memory foam but it still provides the support with the pocket springs. Best of both worlds really. No issues getting used to it at all. Would definitely say to go for the soft version. Motion isolation is great with this mattress as well and you also seem to move less yourself.

From the first night spent on this mattress I have enjoyed instant comfort, an experience I had not felt for years when sleeping on my previous mattress. I suffer with back problems and find this mattress provides sufficient support whilst also being soft enough to feel cradled in comfort. I sense being cushioned during the night instead of feeling perched on what had become an increasingly uncomfortable experience on my old mattress.

We love our new mattress, we didn't want to feel anything different when we went to bed, we chose the soft mattress, we had a memory foam topper on our old bed, so when we tried this mattress at Bensons that's how it felt, like going to bed on our mattress but not rolling together ,! T he delivery was really good, the guys that brought our bed were very professional and polite and courteous , just good old fashioned customer service.

I bought this mattress in the clearance sale at a bargain price. When I lay on it on the shop it felt comfy, however after sleeping on it just for one night my back was killing. I don't think it's any fault of the mattress, it's just too soft for me and when your partner is a bit heavier than yourself you end up rolling into them. I've given it 4 stars because of you're looking for a soft cloud like bed then this mattress is perfect.

Disappointing purchase so far (12 days sleeping on it). Height is really difficult - I need a step to get into bed without jumping up, and old age is approaching, so how will it be then? It feels much firmer than the shop demonstration model. So I'm not sleeping very well yet. Oh, and it's so heavy I can't lift the mattress to tuck in the sheets properly. On the plus side, it's helping some of my body aches to improve.

Hmm, after 1 year and several month's of maybe its us or maybe its the mattress. Its defo the mattress. Each of us have had the roll in to centre of the mattress. To get a decent nights sleep, we sleep on the edge of it. Lower back pain is major. Mattress feels like a soft sponge everywhere that our bodies have been. Our old mattress on spair bed feels better. This mattress days are numbered and we're disappointed by Bensons

I think the mattress is faulty as it's very flat after only 2 weeks of use (by small to average size people) and doesn't support or bounce back. It has given me a very painful back. We've got a different Bensons foam mattress which we've had for years and is fine. Bensons customer service have been very helpful in arranging someone to come and look at it so we'll see what the outcome is. Therefore we can't really comment on

Got new mattress from bensons for beds in Renfrew and it is the best money I have ever spent. The difference in sleeps with the new mattress is night and day, would also like to thank the staff in the shop for their great advice and how they weren't pushy for the sale . This was a big factor in choosing bensons for beds rather than other shops .Definitely recommend the slumberland 6.0 mattress and bensons for beds

Very comfortable and easy on the joints. This is a deep mattress and I have had to buy new fitted sheets to accommodate this. Not a bad thing as any excuse to buy new sheets was welcome! Just one thing to note only one top/bottom end has a handle which makes turning the mattress a little more difficult. All in all the mattress has exceeded my expectations and I am happy with our purchase (and so is my husband).

Here's a refined version of your mattress review: I've had my new mattress for two weeks now, and it's been amazing. On arrival, there was a note to let the mattress breath for 4 hours to let the smell dissipate but that actually took weeks - not horrible but noticeable. Also the first week or so was torture as the mattress was so hard. After the week, it's a lot more comfortable but, as a hybrid, is much hotter than our previous pocket spring. All in all, it's fine but might have gone for a soft one in hindsight.

I absolutely love my new mattress. The Slumberland Air 6.0 memory mattress has got to be the comfiest and best mattress I have ever had. I would wake up with chronic back pain from my old mattress and since I've had this new bed I have never slept so well, so glad I decided to treat myself, only problem I have now is that I hate getting out of bed because I'm sooo comfy. Having done extensive research ordered a new mattress, discovering it wasn't what we thought we found a slumberland mattress at Bensons for Beds. They could not have been more helpful. The mattress is absolutely fantastic. Both my wife and I are both sides sleepers and although she is light and I am heavy, you don't feel any movement when turning over. We were very wary about buying a new mattress as you never know whether or not you will find it comfortable or not! We tested several in the shop and this was the one that we decided to go with and we couldn't be more happy with it! It's so comfortable that it makes you want to go to bed earlier . I have back and joint issues and have tried a few mattresses over the years. I have now found the right one for me. I have no pressure points now as it does give in those areas but is still supportive. It is a deep mattress so changed our bedframe to something a little lower too. Has grab handles all around for ease of turning and does seem cooler to sleep on. Best buy of the year for me.

The whole experience is fabulous, from walking into the store in Swansea and given advice on the different mattresses, then choosing our purchase. Delivery was a few weeks later. Full care was given to enter the bungalow and put the unwrapped mattress onto the bed. I was given instruction on care of the product. It is now 14 days since Delivery. It has exceeded expectations. Very comfortable mattress! Delivery was initially delayed but it was worth the wait. Its firm but also soft to lay on; I've had consistent good-night-sleeps on it so far. It is very heavy, but I think that adds to the quality feel of the mattress. Its also super thick (deep), which is amazing to see - it looks great on my bed frame. I would definitely recommend this mattress to people!

I normally preferred a softer mattress but our old one was becoming uncomfortable. Visiting a local store we tried several mattresses and decided a firm one was best for us both. We have now had our new mattress for nearly 3 weeks and I have found a marked improvement in my sleeping. My husband has taken longer to feel the benefit but all in all we are both happy with our new mattress.

This was bought for a child with special needs and sensory issues. It has been brilliant. She was so excited by how deep it was - she said it felt like she was the princess in the 'Princess and the Pea' with lots of mattresses. Super comfortable and real quality. In comparison, her previous mattress was an embarrassment. Although it was expensive, it really was worth every penny.

The mattress is very good but I had a problem with the divan base. The roller on one of the drawers was faulty. Difficult to close. On inspection I found that the bracket was bent and the roller wheel was distorted. Managed to get a roller from tool station rather than trying to get bensons for beds to fix the problem. So 5 stars to toolstation and 3 stars to bensons for beds.

At first this mattress seemed lovely but now nearly two years on. (I did complain after a year that the mattress dips massively) They told us to make sure we rotate every week and basically it's our fault, but no amount of turning the mattress is going to help! It's causing me so much pain to sleep on now. No help from benson's, I will definitely not be buying from them again.

This is the most dreamy mattress! I just sink right into it and it feels like sleeping on a cloud. I suffer from lower back pain, I sleep on both my side and back and with this mattress I have slept pain free. It is a bit bouncy when turning over but I haven't rolled into the other person. The mattress is quite deep so you will need deeper fitted sheets. I highly recommend.

Mattress is medium firmness and appears to maintain its shape well (it should do after only two months). The mattress offers support to arears requiring support. One criticism is the outer edges of the mattress does not offer support and you can easily slip off the mattress if you dont sit away from the edge. All in all appears reasonable purchase although early days yet.

Very comfortable mattress, it moulds to our body shape and we now get a full night's sleep. Like many people we previously bought a mattress from Amazon, but you can't try them, so we were stuck with one that got very uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend going to Bensons, try them out and pay the extra. It is absolutely worth it and I regret not doing it earlier.

I brought this mattress just before Xmas 2024, it was delivered in January. This mattress is very comfortable, I would recommend it to anyone. Bensons on the Isle of Wight had friendly and helpful staff so I was pleased with the service. The delivery was on time and the guys were very helpful. I would recommend Bensons for beds to anyone. It's ok. Better than my previous mattress. Negative points include: A brown stain on the mattress on arrival (see photo). It's very firm: much more so than the one we tried in the showroom. It's expensive. With hindsight, I think we could have bought something better for the money. It smells! Even after airing for a couple of weeks, it still has a mild unpleasant odour.

Very nice, good quality mattress. I have the medium support but now wish I had gone with the soft option. I have severe Arthritis and chronic back pain. This is always worsened by firmer mattresses. It's certainly better than Emma or Nectar for comfort. The niggle is the sleep trial and costing so much to change it and no refund. I'm just going to have to stick with it.

Small double, medium firm. Store, staff, test bed, displays, order process, coms and delivery were faultless. However, the bed is a dream. The memory foam layer allows all my pointy bones to sink and the rest of me is supported perfectly. Front, back, neck, head, shoulders, on my side, superb. I ache less and sleep better. My partner describes it a "the cloud bed".

Delivery was fine staff in shop was helpful but the mattress is nothing like the 1 I lay on in the shop it's alot harder there return policy if your not happy with it is absolutely crap it's costs you to send it back I know it's only 10% but it costs alot when it's an expensive mattress a d then you have to pay for delivery again I wouldn't personally use them again

This was my second mattress using Bensons returns scheme after the first mattress (a hybrid type and a different make) was totally unsuitable. This Slumberland Airtstream is perfect. Difference between the two is like night day. Thoroughly recommended. Local Bensons staff were excellent BTW, very helpful when choosing this mattress as a replacement. Top marks :).

The delivery team were amazing and the service to take the old mattress invaluable! The mattress is not as soft as I was hoping for but I am not yet past my six weeks settling time. I'm a side sleeper and only weigh 50kg I find firm mattresses very uncomfortable so I have everything crossed on this one softening up a little more as I still kinda float on top

Lovely mattress. I had an Emma mattress before and it was just to firm with absolutely no give at all. This mattress is lovely and comfortable. The quality is lovely, I'm very pleased with my purchase. The only thing I will say is mattresses are extremely heavy nowadays. I have to turn it once a week for the first few weeks... it's very good exercise :-)

Very comfortable, quality mattress. I have noticed my sleep has improved significantly. The only thing which prevented me from giving this 5 stars is the weight of the mattress. The depth makes it heavy to lift when putting on a sheet and turning it around means I have to rely on family members coming and doing this for me. However, overall happy with this.

Do yourself a favour and order this mattress! Top marks for comfort. We have bought 2 of these mattresses, and this newer one even came with the addition of handles which made moving it much easier. We upgraded to a larger one but still have the original now in the guest room and years later it's still as comfortable. Can't recommend this mattress enough!

Superb mattress and the service from Bensons was excellent. Was able to try it out at a nearby showroom. I was given delivery date for 2 weeks time. Delivery team informed me of estimated arrival, which was spot on and the service they gave on arrival was outstanding, including taking away my old one. Unfortunately this was not a good choice for me. I'm a side sleeper and found this mattress uncomfortable and way too soft despite being rated as medium firm. The construction was sound but would suggest it's only suitable for a child not an adult. Thankfully Bensons stand by their 40 day guarantee and I was able to exchange for a different mattress.

I was worried when I received my new mattress, I was looking for a soft base, and this felt hard, but the advice was to use it for a few weeks, which I have done, I am now really happy with it, not stupidly soft but very comfortable, probably better for me. I have been sleeping well on it without waking up with aches and pains which is a blessing.
