Why our sleep experts loved it
As a parent, finding the right mattress for my child is a top priority. I want them to be comfortable and have a good night's sleep, so when I came across the Silentnight Explore Traditional Spring Kids Mattress, a unique proposition from a partnership with popular bed retailer Dreams, I was intrigued. With its smooth quilted sleep surface, 192 traditional springs, and two layers of adaptive fillings, I was curious to see if this mattress would live up to its promises.
Comfort is key, and I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the mattress was. The smooth quilted sleep surface was soft to the touch, and my child snuggled right into it. They didn't complain about any discomfort or pressure points, and I could tell they were getting a good night's sleep. The mattress also had a medium comfort grade, which was perfect for my child. Not too firm and not too soft, it was the perfect balance and they were able to toss and turn, sleeping on both their side and their back without difficulty.
The two layers of adaptive fillings and the 192 traditional springs were important factors in the comfort and support of the mattress and I was impressed with how well the materials worked together to provide a comfortable sleeping surface for my child. The EcoComfort Fibres™ were also a nice touch, as they helped regulate temperature and kept my child cool throughout the night. Not strictly related to comfort, but the EcoComfort fibres themselves are great for the environment and are made from plastic bottles while still being super soft, I think they’re great.
One thing I was particularly concerned about was motion transfer, as I didn't want my child's sleep to be disturbed. The mattress performed well in this aspect, as it minimized motion transfer and ensured my child had a peaceful and undisturbed sleep.
The edge support was also good, allowing my child to fully use the surface of the mattress without feeling like they were going to roll off. And the size of the mattress was just right, fitting standard kids' bed frames and the room.
When it comes to the price of the mattress, it is also very reasonable, making it an affordable option for parents looking for a quality kids' mattress. And with the Silentnight brand being known for producing high-quality mattresses, I had peace of mind that I was making a good investment. There are more expensive options in the range, as well as lesser options and we went with the Explore mattress because it was the middle-ground, doing enough to impress without getting too costly.
The hypoallergenic properties were also a plus, as my child has some sensitivities, and I wanted to make sure they were sleeping on a safe and healthy surface. And with the 40-Night Sleep Guarantee and the 5-Year Manufacturer's Guarantee, I felt confident that this mattress was a good fit for my child's needs and preferences.
In conclusion, I am extremely happy with the Silentnight Explore Traditional Spring Kids Mattress. It provides comfort, support, and a good night's sleep for my child, and I would highly recommend it to any parent looking for a quality kids' mattress. There aren’t too many other reviews out there yet for this product as it is very new, however, short term reviews so far look to be quite encouraging for children who sleep in any combination.
