The real-world practicality of this means that you flip the mattress as well as rotate allowing for better settlement of fillings which increases longevity, while reducing the chance of dipping or spring problems that may otherwise occur. Ultimately the mattress will likely last longer and remain comfortable for a greater duration.

Edge support is really important and often found in the more premium end of mattresses. This edge support allows the edges of the mattress to have the same degree of tension as the inside of the product giving you confidence in the edges and helping to prevent roll of through the strengthened edge.

Open spring mattresses are one of the most popular types of mattress on the market. They are made up of a series of metal coils (springs) that are interconnected. The springs are then covered with a layer of padding and fabric to create a comfortable sleeping surface.

Traditional open coil construction links springs into a connected unit, so pressure on one area can cause movement elsewhere on the mattress.
