Today we're taking a closer look at the Quilted Fusion 4000 Pocket Mattress from Harrison Spinks. A well established model from the popular manufacturer which fits in the upper quadrant in terms of costs and quality. Popular rivals to this brand would include the likes of Therapur, Tempur and Hypnos.
For those who don't know, the Fusion mattress range is part of the Harrison Spinks collection, a hugely popular mattress manufacturer who has spent decades producing high quality bedding accessories.
Looking closer at the Quilted Fusion 4000 Pocket Mattress we will start by breaking down the mattress into its core components, namely, the layers and starting with the comfort layer. In this instance this mattress comes with a fairly breathable recyclable Enviropad filling which is both soft and soothing, while also proving to offer fantastic temperature regulation helping you stay at the right temperature throughout the entire year.
Moving onto the support layer and, as the name of the product suggests, you have an impressive assortment of pocket springs. When it comes to pocket springs you are already getting probably the best body contouring layer available for mattresses which will typically perform better than its open coil traditional competition.
Onto the mattress cover and you are getting a soft, quilted panel cover which again, complements the cooling nature of the comfort layer and works hand in hand with the support layer to produce an all-in-one specialist mattress that has great temperature controls. What's more, the cover features strong turning handles which will aid mattress rotation, helping to ensure sufficient and even settlement across the mattress layers preventing dipping and uneven wear.
This mattress is available in single, double, king size and superking.
Owners back up the firm label. One called it "firm and very comfortable", and another, who sleeps on their side, wrote "Firm but enough give to allow comfortable sleep". Some mention fewer aches in the morning, with one "loving waking up with less discomfort in my back". The handles are welcome, because the main gripe is the weight: "it needs 2 people to lift the mattress". That same owner had an uncomfortable first night until they realised they were sleeping on the wrong side of it, so check which way up yours goes. Delivery comes up a lot in the reviews, and the comments are all good.
The mattress will most likely suit those looking for a high quality product with very little in terms of compromise. Ideal for those who get too hot or cold at night, the temperature regulation properties of these mattresses will be much appreciated.
Also, since the mattress is available in firm, this product will suit those who sleep on their stomach or back most typically, although those that are heavier or without hourglass figures may find side sleeping equally enjoyable.
With a 5 year guarantee, it's clear that both Harrison Spinks and Mattress Online both have large ambitions for this mattress, effectively guaranteeing it for over half of the typical mattress lifecycle which should go a considerable way toward providing quality and confidence in the mattress.
