Simba

Simba have been around for a long time originally founding in 1979, however, they have only been in the bed-in-a-box industry a few years at this point. Simba started its journey with one mattress before branching out to encompass an entire range. These aren’t just any mattresses though, and they have been tested using data from ten million sleepers’ body profiles and over 100 prototypes to help ensure that the mattress and its design will suit the vast majority of sleepers. To date the Simba lineup has become one of the most well-reviewed mattresses worldwide and with the new line-up, there's different models to suit different budgets.

Simba has an entire lineup dedicated to bed in box rolled mattresses. This avenue to market has become increasingly popular in recent years and has numerous benefits, namely that the cost of the product is typically lower due to savings within logistics warehousing and delivery.

Dunlopillo

Dunlopillo have been in the mattress “game” for nearly a century, dating back to 1929 when a scientist created what we know today as Dunlopillo Latex. The latex would form the backbone of all future mattresses and a staple of the industry as a whole.

The company has since gone under new ownership and sees itself as part of the Relyon group where it enjoys an enviable position as one of the market leaders in latex mattresses around the UK and worldwide. If you are looking for a mattress that possesses many of the qualities of memory foam without the downsides of heat build up, latex could be for you.

Simba Owner Satisfaction

Satisfaction for Simba is high on their priority list, offering an impressive comfort guarantee which means that if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase you are able to organise a return for a full refund. The return process is one of the easiest we have come across and involves letting the company know and they will arrange collection at a time convenient to you. Additionally, there are no additional surcharges, costs or delivery fees associated with the returns process which means you get 200 nights risk free to try the mattress.

After this trial period you will also receive a market leading 10 year guarantee that will further instill confidence and ensure your investment is protected long term.

Simba Supportiveness

Simba have multiple mattresses in their range, however all offer roughly the same level of supportiveness coming in at a medium firm tension. The comfort that you derive from a mattress will generally come from the top layer that sits somewhat detached from the support layer. The support layer is what contours and fights against your body to give you pressure relief. Depending on how you sleep or how much you weigh are both factors in determining suitability of tension. With the medium firm support of the Simba lineup we find them most suitable for back sleepers and those of average or heavier build. That said, due to the inclusivity that Simba has aimed to achieve through its prototypes and extensive testing, we do have plenty of reports of side sleepers and those who are lighter getting maximum comfort out of the lineup.

Simba Durability

People are increasingly expecting more from their mattresses with more comfort and more support on offer than ever before. It’s actually a really great time to buy a new mattress as companies new and old are changing the way they do business and produce mattresses with improvements and savings along the way. The same has become true for durability and while the average lifespan of a mattress before being replaced currently lies at around 7 years, the Simba goes above and beyond with a guarantee covering a full 10 years. The result of mattresses lasting longer is the cost of sleep actually decreases relative to cost and time meaning products like Simba may be cheaper in the long run due to that enhanced and increased durability.

Dunlopillo Owner Satisfaction

Dunlopillo ranks highly on consumer satisfaction with numerous good and well-reviewed products across the entire lineup. Many consumers comment on how their Dunlopillo mattresses far exceed the average, with some lasting for over 20 years. In fact, with consumers happy with the comfort and tension of the mattress, the only real complaint is around the lack of turning handles on particular models. This does create a minor inconvenience when it comes to rotations but does help highlight just how impressive the lineup is when the largest vocal problem is around handles.

When you consider the life expectancy of a Dunlopillo mattress on average and look at the cost per night of sleep as a result, the entire range makes for incredible value for money.

Dunlopillo Supportiveness

Customers are largely happy with the support offered by these mattresses. Featuring a wide array of tensions from soft through to firm it means that there is always a Dunlopillo mattress suitable for you, regardless of body type and sleeping preference. The tension and supportiveness of these mattresses is offset by the top layer of the product being latex, which will offer a degree of softness and comfort within the upper layer of the mattress, helping to create a unique experience with the support layer below.

Dunlopillo mattresses also feature an impressive amount of edge support which allows you to make full use of the product. Many cheaper brands do not have this feature which means you do not have the confidence while sleeping close to the edge of the mattress where it feels like it would otherwise be “giving way”

Dunlopillo Durability

As mentioned within customer satisfaction, there are people still sleeping on a Dunlopillo mattress 20 years later. That alone tells you all you need to know about durability. Handcrafted within the UK and featuring hypoallergenic materials with a rugged yet soft cover, these mattresses are durable and well reviewed.

Dunlopillo mattresses tend to be a little more expensive than competing products but the latex upper layer brings a unique feature that many other brands have failed to emulate. Personally, we find the latex to be long lasting and have many benefits over competing memory foam products.

Didn't know where to start choosing a new (well overdue) mattress, heard a lot about Simba so we gave it a go. Best night sleep ever, my wife does get restless and it's either improved or I'm not noticing her moving about. The support is fantastic and it's comfortable too, firmish feel but you still sink into it.Best decision we have made in a long time, happy to recommend.

OK - good service , delivered on time and old mattress taken away .The SIMBA is certainly acceptable I wont bother sending it back under their 100 night guarantee but something about it not quite to my liking. Maybe it needs to sit on a divan rather than an oak framed bed like mine.Anyway it's not causing me any sleepless nights , so Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz !

My wife has suffered with her back for years and has had operation to alleviate some of the pain. I bought her a foam mattress to give her more support but after two years of perseverance she was in agony every morning! Enter the new Simba mattress........no more morning blues and there's no stopping her now. Incredible product and worth every penny.

I first had a new Dunlopillo mattress (bed) in 1984 and I slept comfortably everafter. I reluctantly had to get rid in 1912 as i was downsizing and moving many miles down south taking only the two single beds in my spare room , which had nothing wrong with them but not as comfortable as I thought. I decided to return to what I knew and I'm so glad I did, my new mattress is heavenly!

Just purchased two of these pillows because of the latex filling. The pillows are soft yet also support your head. I slept all night because of these pillows and had no stiffness or aches and pains the next morning. They really are fabulous and worth every penny. They keep their shape and will last for years if looked after. I love them.

The best pillow. Had the original pillow for 5 years and have now bought side sleeper. easy to wash, great quality pillow protector and would never use anything else. May be a pricey item, but seems to be indestructible, and when you think how much you spend on mid-quality pillows that need to be replaced annually, the cost makes sense.

Echo what everyone else says. You're head melts in to it and it kind of gently springs back offering comfort and support . Had mine nearly 12 months and it's as good as the day I got it. Highly recommend for people who have aches or pains or just struggle with pillows and getting comfortable in general.

I would have to say this must be the best mattress I've ever slept on. Had it a while now and don't regret in the slightest. Expensive but in this case you definitely get what you pay for.Quality is spot on too, feels like it will last forever.
