I got my hands on the Slumberland Verity Headboard in-store and it does a nice job of mixing style with the practical side of having something comfy to lean back on. This plush, upholstered headboard will lend a touch of luxury to any bedroom with its clean lines and sophisticated patterns. Running my hand across the fabric, it felt soft and properly padded, not that thin, papery upholstery you sometimes get at this sort of price. Plus, it's available in a variety of colours to match your room's décor, but do bear in mind lighter shades will show marks quicker if you sit up in bed with a morning brew.

Headboards don't have to be drab and boring, they can be luxurious and stylish. The Slumberland Verity Headboard is a good example of this and with the credentials of the popular mattress manufacturer Slumberland, the quality should last, but I wouldn't buy it on the name alone. When I pressed into the centre panel it held its shape well, although the edges felt a touch softer, so if you're the type to perch right on the side while reading, it's worth checking it feels supportive enough for you. Also, it's more about looks and comfort than practicality, so if you're after built-in shelves or a really wipe-clean finish for kids and pets, this isn't that kind of headboard.

The padded surface does provide a comfortable feel, but the visible creases are a tad disappointing. Good for the price, though.

Very comfortable and easy to assemble. Perfect size and well seamed. The hydraulic press could be slightly tasking to some as it does require some lift but this ensures it stays in place.

As much as I like my new bed , was disappointed in the colour choice for base and headboard. I have just had my headboard fitted and it is supposed to be the same colour as the base of my bed but it is darker so not happy . Must say that the staff in the shop were very nice, helpful and friendly.

The headboard looks good and co-ordinates well with the bed, both in design and size. I knocked stars off due to the corner on one side was not finished smoothly, It was a little puckered. I also think it is a bit over priced. Nevertheless I like it and glad I chose it
