I got my hands on the Slumberland Verity Headboard in-store and it does a nice job of mixing style with the practical side of having something comfy to lean back on. This plush, upholstered headboard will lend a touch of luxury to any bedroom with its clean lines and sophisticated patterns. Running my hand across the fabric, it felt soft and properly padded, not that thin, papery upholstery you sometimes get at this sort of price. Plus, it's available in a variety of colours to match your room's décor, but do bear in mind lighter shades will show marks quicker if you sit up in bed with a morning brew.
Headboards don't have to be drab and boring, they can be luxurious and stylish. The Slumberland Verity Headboard is a good example of this and with the credentials of the popular mattress manufacturer Slumberland, the quality should last, but I wouldn't buy it on the name alone. When I pressed into the centre panel it held its shape well, although the edges felt a touch softer, so if you're the type to perch right on the side while reading, it's worth checking it feels supportive enough for you. Also, it's more about looks and comfort than practicality, so if you're after built-in shelves or a really wipe-clean finish for kids and pets, this isn't that kind of headboard.
