I got my hands on the Slumberland Freya Headboard in-store and, straight away, it felt like one of those pieces that can make a bed look properly finished. Running my hand across the upholstery, it’s got that soft, padded feel you want behind your pillows, and it gives you a nice bit of comfort when you’re sat up reading. Outfit your bed with a luxurious upholstered headboard to provide a sophisticated resting place that's guaranteed to impress, but do bear in mind it’s a headboard, not a miracle worker, if your wall or bed frame is a bit wobbly you’ll still notice it.

In use, I found the padding supportive without feeling rock hard, but it’s not massively deep, so if you like a really chunky, sink-in headboard to lean on for ages, you might want something plusher. Also worth saying, lighter fabrics will show marks quicker if you’ve got kids, pets, or you’re the type to eat toast in bed, so it’s one to keep an eye on.
