We ordered this bed at the beginning of the Covid pandemic and initially had a 12 week wait for our bed to be delivered. However, once restrictions were lifted we were able to get our delivery brought forward, which dreams happily arranged for us. Due to social distancing delivery could only be made to the front door, which I understand is out of their hands, however a word of warning... the bed comes in four very large boxes and is extremely heavy so take this into consideration if having to move yourself. The bed was relatively straight forward to assemble, though this may prove difficult if your room is on the smaller side. For the most part I was able to put it together myself, but you will need another person to attach the frame to the bed, again very heavy. The hydraulic for the storage underneath is also very stiff initially and requires quite a bit of force to get moving. Overall we are very satisfied with the Deacon bed. It allows for a lot of storage, is very comfortable due to the flexible slats and is a beautiful and quality piece of furniture.

From the minute I walked into the Dreams store in Slough until the moment that I received the bed and mattress that I ordered, I couldn't have been more impressed by both the service and the quality of the products that I received. The in-store help and advice was exceptional in helping me to make the right choices - the guy who looked after us stayed late after the store closed, made us a nice cup of coffee and spent time with us showing us everything - nothing was too much trouble. He even gave us a bottle of water each to take home! Then the entire delivery process was seamless and super impressive - the company kept in touch with me every step of the way and it's the most impressive delivery service that I have experienced. The bed and mattress are both brilliant quality and I cannot fault them - thanks to Dreams I am having my best night's sleep ever and I will definitely be returning to buy more from them. I purchased this bed in November and just had to come back and write a review. After a few months of use, I can say that the build quality is incredible and it has a lot more storage than I expected. I know that with some ottomans the storage element can compromise the comfort but with this bed you have nothing to worry about. I ordered a double in grey. Please be aware that the colour is more like a teal/ grey than typical grey but is even more stunning in my opinion! However, if you are going for a standard grey, I would visit a dreams store and ask to see the colour before you purchase to check that you're happy. Delivery was very smooth. I paid extra for the assembly option and was relieved, especially when I saw how large and heavy some of the parts were. Definitely a two (or three) person job! The guys were extremely polite and had the bed assembled in no time! This bed will be the stunning focal point of any bedroom and is sure to receive many compliments!

This bed is incredible the headboard is fantastic and of great quality finish! I bought the whole range bedside cabinets and the blanket box and the bedroom looks incredible, I have gone for a botanical theme so with the palm leaves, banana leaf look sort of a bohemian tropical look with sage green colours and rich greens and really looks incredible! The quality of the material and the actual bed itself you cannot fault one bit, one thing I would suggest if you don't have the patience with setting it up and with all the surplus cardboard,polystyrene I would recommend having the set up fee so it was done for you and the recycling, rubbish removed as this took a long time removing and installing the bed because we thought we would save the extra pennies and do it ourselves but I would have dreams team do this for us if we ever need to order from them in future. But the product itself from the bed to the whole range is just top notch!

The bed has a real luxury feeling to it and feels very solid once assembled. Assembly is quite easy. Lifting the ottomon is ok and assisted by gas springs, these certainly help but do require a bit of effort to get started. The space underneath is fantastic and we actually store a spare futton double mattress underneath and bedding for guests. The colour seems more like a greyish blue than pure dark grey, this was not a problem for us as we chose a dark blue wall but initially we had dark teal and it did seem to clash a bit. The design style is obvioulsy personal choice but we found the straight headboard and base directly on the carpet really nice features. Some of the panel do feel quite lightweight and a bit cheap on quality, especially the base inside the ottoman, but it all feels sturdy once assembled so hopefully it will withstand wear over time. Overall really pleased with the design style.

Had this bed now for around 4/5 months! Its perfect. The storage is a life saver as we dont have much storage in our flat, so its an added bonus to store things. Its not heavy to lift and easily goes back down. The delivery guys were so accommodating and I paid extra for the assemble; which Im so glad I did after seeing the big heavy headboard etc. They put it up in no time and placed the bed exactly where I wanted it. Took all the rubbish away and were very polite. The bed itself is super sturdy and comfy, the colour is gorgeous and looks more expensive than it is! The headboard does collect a little dust and it shows but super super easy to clean I just use a clothes brush. We went for the grey colour and its a little darker than I thought but its perfect for our all white bedroom its a real feature piece of furniture. I love it!

Purchased this bed in super king, it is so luxurious. The quality is excellent and it looks great, there is loads of storage underneath and the mechanism works well (if a little stiff at first). Some points to make people aware - 1. I measured to check the bed would fit in the room but failed to think about how to get it in there! The headboard is huge and wouldn't fit through our bedroom door so we had to remove the panel above our door to get it in. 2. It is quite hard work to assemble. I would probably pay for the extra for that if we were to do it again. 3. The shade of grey looks slightly different to the photos, I still really like it but maybe get a fabric sample to be sure. One of the slats was cracked but Dreams sent a replacement straight away. We love the bed and are very happy with it.

I went into Dreams in Wimbeldon not really knowing what I was looking for. I was greeted by the most friendliest team. I was taking to the mattress testing area, once we had decided what best mattress would suit my needs I was then introduced to the sales team. She had endless knowledge when it comes to sleep and comfort and she did not push for me to buy the most expensive bed and mattress but rather what suited my needs. I tried out about 8 different mattresses and pillows. The team would so wonderful I honestly did not want to leave the store! Bought in the sale and got a fantastic price, customer service team were exceptional as there was a large delay on my order hence 4 star instead of 5 and they soon resolved the problem offering a good will gesture. The bed itself is out of this world, the high headboard complements my bedroom perfectly with the added extra of the under bed storage which is made easy to lift with the gas lift. Assembling the bed took around 2 hours which due to size as its a king I didnt think was too bad, and the packaging was expensive, therefore supplied a supper bonfire. Definitely buy this bed you wont get better anywhere else also its work paying the additional cost which enables you to have cover for 8 years and with a 2 year old its well worth the extra pennies.

Choosing this bed was made easy for us by the sales advisor. He was very helpful and friendly. We were invited to use the sleep machine to get matched to the ideal mattress. We tried several and decided on the first mattress the salesman recommended (sorry I dont know his name) choosing a bed frame was a bit more work as I had in mind a rattan headboard but settled on an upholstered ottoman bed frame. Despite all the disruption with the pandemic I managed to place my order for my dreams bed and they delivered it with no issues they kept there promise customer service was on point with regular emails updating me at every stage of the process, I'm looking at getting a mattress from them as Benson's for bed let me down big style, they messed me about for months despite me contacting them a number of times they cancelled my order without notice at the last minute and then wouldnt correct the error and tried selling me the same mattress without my nhs discount putting the price back up at 200 pound more. I recently purchased this king size bed in the slate grey option, I had to wait a long time for delivery but it was totally worth the wait! Dreams came and delivered the bed on a Saturday, the delivery men were so helpful and respectful of my home. They contacted me the night before to tell me my two hour time slot and even called me in the morning to re-confirm. Once we unboxed the bed it took us around an hour to assemble, it is definitely a two man job as the head board is heavy!! It really does have the 'wow' factor, beautiful quality and we are getting so many compliments on the head board. Totally worth the money, buy, buy, buy if you haven't already!!

Bought this bed in cream having not been able to see it at all in the shop due to lock-down. I'd initially spotted it on 'Littlebitofdovegrey's instagram account so was confident that the colour would be right given the number of pictures on there in different lights. :) The bed is the perfect colour and the material feels very good quality. We opted for the solid slat base and was slightly nervous that we should have chosen the sprung base but the solid base has been perfect (testament to the mattress we chose too). The room now needs finished with accessories but we have painted the room with Dulux Egyptian Cotton which matches the colour perfectly!

Id been looking at this bed for a long time before I eventually bought it in the sale last week. It looks absolutely stunning and the ottoman base is perfect for storage. Nothing else on the market compares to this as far as style and value for money are concerned. Things I love: Style, colour, ottoman storage, price Things that could be improved: Fabric on headboard appears a little crinkled (or am I just fussy?!) I have now had this bed for 15 months. I have been very pleased with it up until a month ago when unfortunately when I lift the bed up to get to the storage the bed doesnt stay up! Something must be wrong with the mechanism. The bed hadnt been lifted much maybe every couple of weeks so very disappointed. I have contacted dreams and appreciate with covid19 no one can take a look yet but I have been referred to another company and told a charge of 45 to me as out of guarantee for them to confirm if a manufacturing fault. This bed is much better than I expected. I was skeptical about buying an ottoman frame because I thought the build quality/structure wouldve been compromised but that really wasnt the case. The frame is so strong and having all that extra space is such a bonus. I also read that depending on the lighting conditions the colour of the bed can shift, which is true. In certain lighting it can look blue or green but it doesnt bother me because I know the bed is grey. Material is lovely, again I was skeptical about having something thats not wipe clean but Im not sorry because I just love the bed too much. Its perfect!

I am so happy with this bed, it looks beautiful in my bedroom and has lots of storage. We have upgraded to a super king size bed and are not disappointed with the extra space. We ordered the cream coloured deacon ottoman, it is such a gorgeous bed Im so pleased with it, looks stunning in our bedroom. My husband put it together on his own in about 2 hours. Our mattress is a very heavy one I can still lift the frame up but it is very hard with the heavy mattress nothing like it was in store with a lighter mattress on so bear that in mind, I did know it would be harder, its so heavy to lift even my sister couldnt lift it when she tried, il only be keeping things inside that I dont need very often now. Lovely natural fabric, gorgeous bed makes our room feel very cosy!

I ordered my bed in November and it was due to come in January. I got a txt a few days before it was due to come with no explanation saying your bed has been rescheduled. I checked and it had been rescheduled to the middle of March. I rang up to complain and was told they would put the bed together free of charge. One day before the bed was due I got a txt saying they couldnt put it together due to covid ... fair, but nothing offered to compensate the ridiculous wait time. The bed is great looking and the storage is handy. Even with the metal ottoman frame it feels sturdy and doesnt squeak. The ottoman mechanism is heavy to lift and made more difficult by the fabric handle that squeezes your fingers together when attempting to lift. It would benefit from a fixed metal handle like other ottoman versions. Where the ottoman frame sits on the bed frame, theres only a few metal L brackets, which I cant help thinking a full beam running around would offer better long term support. All in all a good looking bed, thats difficult / heavy to lift.

I ordered this bed, and was shocked when it was being unwrapped. I said they have delivered me the wrong bed as the one I ordered was grey. This bed looks like a dark green. The delivery men were very polite and showed me the packaging which said Dark grey ( still confused as online the only option is grey) apparently the delivery men are used to people commenting on the colour of this bed as this happens a lot. I did not return the bed as I needed it. The actual bed itself has nothing wrong with it. I would of just preferred the colour I ordered!!!

Bed (we bought a king) is more on the pricey side however, you get exactly what you pay for. Upholstery material looks and feels expensive and there was absolutely no marks/ issues with condition. Ottoman technology works effortlessly, even with mattress and bedding you can operate with ease. The headboard itself (obviously the main attraction) is beautiful and very comfortable for leaning against too if you like to sit upright in bed. 5/5 would recommend! Side note - if you're looking for mattress recommendations I would highly recommend nectar.

We needed a lot more storage and this bed seemed the best solution for our requirements. Our old SuperKing bed frame was from Dreams and wouldve lasted us another 10 years hadnt we needed the extra storage this bed provides. It looks amazing and is really comfortable - the quality is bang on and I have no regrets about buying this over cheaper models of storage bed we saw online. Word of advice make sure there are two of you if assembling - its impossible to carry out the last stages of assembly alone :)

The bed was really nice and sturdy and looks as good as the pictures. Only let down from me was the delivery. Use of unprofessional language from one of them and that same Delivery man gave up on taking the bed upstairs after only a few seconds of trying and was ready to leave. Mentioned a few times they can take the bed back and refund it but i really loved the bed and had paid for the assembly. Told them if you angle the bed frame, it should fit easily and what do you know they managed to get it up.

I love this bed frame! It has a high headboard, but not too high that it dominates the room. The space underneath is immense! I have read previous reviews that say the bed is very squeaky, and it was for me too, but when I adjusted things that I had put underneath it was fine. I paid extra to have the bed put up and it was money well spent and only took the lads half an hour. It was a bit of a struggle to get it up the stairs but they managed it in the end. My bedroom is now my favourite room!

A superking size varient of the bed was purchased a few weeks ago. The setup was easy with great instructions. Definatley use two people when constructing the bed. It will make the process a whole lot easier Ottoman lifting can be quite difficult at the start. However this becomes easier once the gas struts are broken in. With smaller size beds this wont be such an issue. Fabric is exceptional quality and all components ensure the bed is strong and stable.

I love my deacon bed, but my only problem is that it attracts dirt very easily. The headboard materiel is hard to clean, you can use a hoover to get rid of the dust but little hairs get trapped in the material. My husband had short hair which falls out (human nature) and these hairs get trapped in the material. It is difficult to even pick them out by hand. If anyone has a solution please let me know. Paying so much for the bed i would not have expected this.

Love this bed, I wanted a quality product and thats what we got. Arrived in a couple of boxes, very easily to assemble. Looks amazing. With our super king mattress it is very heavy to lift up without the electric optional extra, would have got that had we known it would be so difficult to lift. The grey on the picture online is slightly different in person; its a more Bluey sort of grey. Overall absolutely love it, doesnt squeak, mrs is happy.

Bought 1 month ago absolutely in love with it. Husband put it together so easily. A second person is needed just to hold the metal frame, whilst the lifting arms were connected for the ottoman feature, which provides ample storage. The bed is great. Comfy headboard for leaning on too when sat up reading etc. Easy to build, recommends two people but can be done in your own, all tools supplied. The only thing to be mindful of, which fortunately I was very lucky with, the headboard comes as one piece, therefore is rather large. Getting it to your bedroom should it be upstairs could potentially be an issue, check your access first. Otherwise yes, would definitely recommend.

We got this bed two weeks ago and it not only looks amazing but the sprung slats make our old mattress feel like brand new. weve both slept so well since we got it. Can not recommend it enough. The base is quite heavy to lift up for storage, however its still quite new so I imagine will become easier the more we use it. Initial review on receipt and build of the bed frame. The bed was delivered when it was supposed to be and old frame taken with no problems. The deacon ottoman was easy to put together and done within the hour. Mattress on and super comfortable. The big big big note for all, if you want dark grey, this is not the bed for you! The dark grey is in fact blue. No variation of grey, simply blue. So make sure you choose the right colour.

We have had this bed a few months now and we're very happy with it. We had it put together by the delivery guys who were very professional. The base is quite heavy to lift but has so much space for storage. We have found that if you don't lift it fully then once lowered there is a squeak coming from the lift mechanism but once you lift it fully and lower it again it stops. All in all though its a good quality sturdy bed.

Buying a bed in lockdown was stressful but the team at Dreams made it really easy. The bed arrived on time and is of excellent quality - its really comfy! The only downside which is nothing Dreams can fix, is that we had to assemble it ourselves due to lockdown restrictions. The bed is of a lovely quality, its sturdy and looks nice. BUT it is not Grey and does not match the colour in the picture. Its more a dark green colour which I am quite disappointed by. Had I of known and read reviews before hand regarding this, I probably wouldnt of brought it knowing the severe colour difference. We bought this bed so we had a cushioned headboard so we could slob out and watch TV in bed. And the verdict is, it is a very comfortable bed! The frame is very solid no movement from the headboard etc. Only down side is that the ottoman is a little heavy to open but we have got a very large mattress on it once it's open 45 degrees it then takes the weight of the mattress and opens the full way on its own.

Ho-lee-sheeeeeeeeiiiiit. This is the best purchase of my entire adult life. I've never cheated out on beds, but this was a bit pricier than I'd usually go, but worth every penny. Make sure when assembling you have sufficient space, I.e. make sure the room is 100% empty and you definitely have 2 people, as the base is very heavy. But the sleep quality.. you literally feel like you're floating.

Can't fault the bed at all. Frame is really nice and high-end, ottoman mechanism is really solid, the bed-build process was really quick and straightforward. Just a great bed frame. My only criticism is that the colour specified is grey, where as the true colour is more of a dark grey with blue or green undertones. The exact colour should be specified on the product. Everything else brilliant!

Bought the grey kingside bed and Im in LOVE!! This bed is absolutely stunning, looks like a mid grey/blue colour and its exactly what I was looking for. The bed itself was very light and easy to build but there was no middle support bar which may compromise the wooden slats but I plan to fix that with 4x4 wooden posts that I will screw into the slats. Overall Im super happy with the bed!

Bought this bed in store and didnt have a sample of the grey colour but was told it would be the same as the sana which my daughter has. The colour was nothing like my daughters bed. It is more of a blue/green(teal) colour. Contacted customer services and they couldnt of been more apologetic organised to have bed picked up and a full refund. Ordering our dreams bed was straight forward and simple. Opted for an assemble option too as neither of us are very good with putting things together. The bed was relatively easy to put together with 2 people, taking probably about 2 hours. The bed looks great and feels sturdy. The only problem was that the superking head board was HUGE! We couldnt get it up our stairs so ended up getting builders to remove an upstairs window so we could get it in definitely check this before ordering- we wish wed been advised to!

Lovely looking bed. The ottoman itself is quite heavy/stiff to lift; however, will see if it loosens up a little bed as time goes by. Be aware than the base sticks out around the matress so the bed is wider than the matress and takes up more room than expected. It still looks nice but it would be better to have this point highlighted with the listing on the website.

My only recommendation would be to get Dreams to build it, as it was very confusing, and had to order a replacement as the instructions provided didnt match, there were bolts and washers missing, and there was a missing in the headboard. The super king with the slats are very easy to put together except for the 4 screws that hold the internal frame to the actual bed found it difficult to hold the nut In the correct place while trying to squeeze my hands through the slats had to prop up the whole bed to be able to put them in but all in all very happy

Its a nice frame with soft touch material. If you want a bed you can move easily its probably not for you as there are no casters. Theres no underbed storage. The headboard is nice though even though its big. Remember that the headboard is a few inches wider than standard double bed width.

Looks nice and easy to put together BUT it's very difficult to lift with a memory form mattress on it. My wife has no chance. Also, there are lots of gaps around the frame so things could easily fall into the storage space. Not as clean as some of the other lift storage bed frames.

what is the maximum mattress weight the superking can lift? There must be a limit to what the pistons are capable of.

Answer: We do not have set weight limits. Bed frames are tested to 18 stone, however this doesn't mean it can only hold 18 stone across the whole surface area. 18 stone is tested on specific areas of the frame, meaning a weight higher than this would be fine as the weight would be distributed across the whole frame over just one specific area.Our only frames that would be limited at 18 stone are the range of adjustable beds. This ottoman should be fine with any mattress weight.Thank you.

Answer: The most suitable bed frame size would be a super king which would accommodate a super king mattress measuring 6'0 x 6'8 - however this would be slightly bigger than your mattress so there could be some gaps on the sleeping area. A king bed frame accommodates a mattress measuring 5'0 x 6'8 and hence would not be big enough for your mattress.
