We're looking at some of the wider offerings from Dreams today and we're starting with the Luxury Lever Headboard from the Dreams Workshop, a popular brand responsible for many of the mattresses, bed frames and headboards sold exclusively through Dreams retailer.

Starting with the inner components, the headboard is made from a solid pine frame that shouldn't creak or make unnecessary noises when properly secured. The solid pine is a decent grade and is strong enough to support your head while propping you up.

Past the pine base, you have a layer of padding on the front of the headboard to help offer comfort for your head while it is rested against. The padding is not too thick, nor is it anywhere except the front of the headboard and helps add to the plushness and visual appeal of the headboard.

On the outside you have a durable but luxurious fabric available in a multitude of different tones to suit your room. I personally like the dark grey, a popular colour over the last few years but also worth a shout is the lighter ash colour. The fabrics are not what I would consider attention grabbing, instead blending in effortlessly with the rest of your bedroom suite and adding the finishing touch to whatever room design you have.

Reviews for the Luxury Lever Headboard are good, with over 200 reviews at time of writing and an impressive 99% consumer satisfaction. Customers particularly enjoyed the way the headboard suits existing room sets and the slim build that doesn't take up too much room in either depth nor height. Its critics are far fewer but there was a small handful who couldn't easily fix the headboard to their existing frame creating a degree of frustration which was expressed in review. Being a former professional furniture upholsterer for 20 years in the United States, I can attest to the quality of the headboard and divan base and I am very satisfied with the purchase. I just moved from the United States to join my new British wife who has lived in England for 54 years. We had been apart for about 1 year due to Covid-19 after getting married in the US last year. Once I finally arrived here, we decided to get a new bed and decided to shop at Dreams. We didn't even need to shop elsewhere since we found the perfect divan base, headboard, and mattress. The new salesperson was great as well as the more experienced salespeople. Everything went very smooth and we absolutely love the new bed. I was looking for a new headboard as part of my room redesign, I wanted a modern style and in a grey that gave the feel of quality, much like the grey metallic paint you see on a luxury vehicle. I also like to read in bed so it had to be somewhat functional. I must say that the build quality not only gives stability to the overall product, but provides a firm yet comfortable rest for my late night reading. The headboard was easy to install onto my divan base as it uses the standard size fittings as many do (this was based on the kingsize headboard which I purchased) and took approximately 5 minutes. Overall I am very happy with this headboard and its quality.

Great headboard, very sturdy and very well made. Lovely to lay up against first thing in the morning. Installation was easy enough, however lining up the screws took a little getting used to as the material on the base of the bed was a little think so I had to pierce it first before running the screw threw it. I love that the headboard attaches to the bed and fits to it perfectly, it is not attached with 2 pieces of wood that slide either, it is flush to the bed and makes it look very posh.
