The hazard
The product has been identified as presenting a risk of asphyxiation when used in a sleep space for babies. Pillows and soft toys are advised not to be placed in the sleep space for babies under the age of one year as their presence increases the risk of overheating and airway obstruction, which have been associated with sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

AliExpress removed the listing (product identifier 1005008379213608). In the notice’s words: “The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (AliExpress).”
What to do
The notice says owners should stop using it immediately, keep it out of reach of children and contact the seller they bought it from for a refund. The notice is on GOV.UK.
Why it matters for your bed or cot
This is the second patting baby pillow OPSS has reported, after one sold on Amazon in December 2025. A motor does not make a pillow safer to sleep on. The OPSS baby sleep pillow alert applies whatever the pillow does.
