How We Tested
Walking in the shoes of our anticipated customers, we scrutinised every feature and functionality of the Snooze Nocturne Bed Frame. We evaluated its feel, comfort level and compatibility with different types of mattresses. I ran my hand over the headboard fabric and gave the frame a good wobble test, it felt solid with no obvious creaks. Our testing process spanned several weeks, allowing us to assess its durability, adaptability to different room temperatures and humidity levels, and its support system. We also took note of the simplicity of its assembly process and paid special attention to its aesthetic appeal in various bedroom settings.
Design and Features
The Snooze Nocturne Bed Frame's design is what sets it apart. It flaunts a modern fluted headboard with a slight winged design that easily blends with various decors. The base is non-ottoman but an ottoman base option is available for those who are in need of extra storage. The bed frame is available in 3 sizes - double bed, king size bed, and super king size bed, catering to every space. Add to that a range of nine lavish velvet and woven fabric colours and finishes to choose from - neutral tones for a softer, classy vibe or darker ones for a bold statement. Just bear in mind the fluted headboard does stick out a bit, so in a smaller room it can feel a touch imposing.
Construction
What makes the Snooze Nocturne Bed Frame a pinnacle of comfort and durability? Its construction. The bed comes with a fully boarded sleeping base that not only ensures superior support but also extends mattress life. Sitting on the edge, it held my weight well and didn't feel like it was going to dip away under me. The frame is perched on solid wooden feet that not only provide stability but also complete the look with their stylish walnut effect finish. Each bed frame is made to order using the finest materials. It is designed, constructed, and quality checked with the utmost care to ensure top-notch quality. The flip side of a fully boarded base is it can reduce airflow under the mattress compared to slats, so if you tend to sleep warm it's something to think about.
Suitability
The Snooze Nocturne Bed Frame's sizable dimensions, along with its flexible design, make it an excellent fit for a range of room sizes and decorative themes. Whether you prefer a minimalistic design approach or lean towards more eclectic aesthetics, the Nocturne Bed Frame seamlessly falls into any settings, becoming the focal point of your bedroom. That said, if you're after under-bed storage as standard, you'll need to go for the ottoman option rather than this base.
What Customers Thought
Owners are mostly happy with it. One wrote that it is "Really comfortable (I'm sleeping much better now) and looks great in the room", and another, who bought a mattress with it, said they "Cannot fault anything". The complaint is about smell. One owner, who called it "a nice bed frame of good quality", reported "a very bad smell the bed came with, especially the headboard", and after more than two months and two goes with odour removal liquid it had only died down a bit.
The Verdict
A synergistic creation of form and function, the Snooze Nocturne Bed Frame is undoubtedly a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a bed that offers an enduring design, unwavering comfort, and exceptional value for money. It wraps up all these qualities in a premium package that goes beyond just being a piece of furniture, elevating to an aesthetic element that brings your bedroom to life. This is not just a bed, it's your space of solace, and a statement of your distinguishing taste.
