I've been meaning to get my hands on the Slumberland Felicia for a while, as it's one of those headboards that looks a bit 'hotel' in the photos. Seeing it in person, it does have that plush, dressed look, and the deep lined embossing is the first thing you notice when you're stood in front of it. Running my hand across the upholstery, it felt smooth and nicely padded, not thin and papery like some cheaper upholstered options.

That said, the upholstery will show marks if you're the type to sit up in bed with a brew most nights, especially in lighter colours, so I'd think carefully about shade choice. Also, if you're after a really chunky, statement headboard, this one leans more sleek than oversized, so it can look a bit understated in a big room. And just a practical one, if you're planning to move it upstairs on your own, it's awkward to manoeuvre, so I'd rope someone in.
