I've had a proper feel of the iGel Front/Back Sleeper Medium Pillow in Bensons for Beds, and it is definitely aimed at people who like a firmer, more supportive pillow rather than something you sink into. Made from natural latex, this British-produced pillow is not only a healthy choice for your bed, but also offers a 1-year guarantee. Running my hand across it and giving it a good squeeze, it springs back quickly and keeps its shape, so you do not get that slow-moulding feel you would with memory foam.

On my back it kept my head nicely level and I could feel it propping up the neck without forcing my chin down, which is exactly what you want if you wake up with a stiff neck. On my front, it still felt supportive but I did notice the firmness can push your head up a touch if you are used to a flatter pillow, so it will not suit everyone.

There are a couple of things to be aware of. If you are a side sleeper, or you like a plush pillow you can scrunch, this one is likely to feel too firm and a bit 'bouncy' under the cheek. Also, that 1-year guarantee is on the short side compared to a lot of pillows at this price point, and because it is latex it can feel a bit warmer than a light fibre fill if you already sleep hot.
