Harrison Spinks Grassington 5750 Pocket Mattress

A medium to firm mattress tension sees the softness of a medium tension decreased slightly to offer better back and neck support without sacrificing too much in terms of comfort. Better suited toward back or stomach sleepers, this mattress may be a bit too firm for side sleepers who have protruding hips and shoulders that would otherwise dig into the support layer. For everyone else though, this mattress offers a great degree of comfort and support that will leave you waking up feeling refreshed.

Wool is a great option for the comfort layer of mattresses for a number of reasons. First, it is breathable enough to allow air to flow sufficiently to ensure great all-season long cooling that won't have you too hot, or too cold. Additional to this you have other advantages like durability, flexibility, flame and water resistance. Ultimately wool is a sustainable and renewable option that is environmentally friendly and supremely comfortable.

Pocket springs are like natures own springy piece of comfort, except they are not from nature. Alas, pocket springs are a very good part of a mattress and often found in the more premium models. Lower quality products will frequently use open coil spring setups, where pocket springs house each spring in a tiny pocket for additional stability and continued support. Pocket spring typically lasts longer than open coil due to this.

One of the big complaints when settling into a new mattress is that it does not feel as comfortable as they hoped, where this mattress shines is in the enhanced pressure relief that it offers. Each part of your body exerts different amounts of pressure against the mattress and through the use of springs and foams, these products are able to offer significant pressure relief as a result across the entire body.

Firmer than the average mattress, a medium to firm mattress is ideally suited to those that are looking for extra back support but still require and amount of comfort from their mattress. Ideally suited for a large range of the populus and becoming much more common, deviating away from the previous medium-for-everyone model.

Non turn mattresses have a few benefits, most importantly that they do not need to be flipped, saving time effort and energy that can be better focussed toward getting a good nights sleep. Do be aware however that you should still be rotating your mattress in line with the manufacturers guidelines for the product.

Oh turning handles are pointless I hear you say. Just try flipping and turning this product without handles. It can be a pain. Remember that mattresses should be both rotated and flipped frequently, not a problem if you are opting for a sinle, but those doubles and kings can get heavy. Handles are very good.

Hand side stitching is a true mark of quality found in the upper-quality segment of mattresses. The process is very labor intensive as it involves attaching the side panel of the mattress to the pocket spring support layer found within a mattress helping to give better edge support and preventing roll-off.

Edge support is really important and often found in the more premium end of mattresses. This edge support allows the edges of the mattress to have the same degree of tension as the inside of the product giving you confidence in the edges and helping to prevent roll of through the strengthened edge.

28cm is considered deep for a mattress and is more than enough room to house good quality components and spring systems, along with generous amounts of comfort layer materials. You may find you require deeper sheets than standard with this type of mattress however, the cost for these in negligible.

Hand tufting typically makes a mattress feel firmer due to how the stitching from the cover carries through the mattresses layers. It is a great way to keep everything tight and together within the different mattress layers and acts as an increased tension providing better back and neck support.

28cm of depth is a good amount of room for both a comfort layer and a construction. While higher mattress depth does not always correlate to better quality mattresses, it is normally a fairly good indicator.  With this size of mattress you might require deeper mattress covers.

Single sided means only one side is comfy. Positives are you only need to rotate the mattress occassionaly rather than the more cumbersome rotate and flip. Downside is the lifespan of the product may suffer as a result, only marginal, but worth mentioning.

The Mattress has turning handles for easy manoeuvring, which makes it a great choice for people who need a little extra help when rotating or flipping their mattress. If you're moving with a partner, the handles can also help keep the mattress level.

Pocket springs are mostly made of round coiled steel wire and are contained in separate compartments (like pockets) within the mattress, offering better body contouring and impressive and well-measured support across the entire surface area.
