The TheraPur Polar ActiGel® 1000 is a luxuriously soft and supportive mattress that helps you get the best out of every single night thanks to its use of modern technologies and a great use of deep and luxurious ActiGel foam. When I pressed into the surface with my hand, it had that slow, cushioned give you expect from gel-infused memory foam.

Its clever pressure-relieving design helps to relieve pressure from your joints and muscles, promoting deep, restful sleep. This mattress is made from a proprietary blend of premium-grade materials and features high-quality, pocketed springs to help you stay comfortable. That said, if you like a really bouncy, 'on top' feel, the foam layers can make it feel a bit more hugged than some will want.

The bed is coated with an ActiCool® knitted cover and helps promote additional airflow, creating a great all-season mattress that will keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. The result actually works particularly well and the gel pairing works with the pocket springs to increase breathability further. I ran my palm over the cover and it felt smooth and cool to the touch, but it can still sleep a touch warmer than a basic pocket sprung mattress if you really run hot.

I sat on the edge for a minute and it held up decently, but the edge does compress more than a firmer, more spring-forward mattress, so if you perch on the side a lot it's worth bearing in mind.

I searched for weeks in different shops looking for a bed that would, suit my needs and give me a good nights sleep. O have a back problem and a lung disease which causes me to have difficult nights, I'm restless and can never get comfortable at night to sleep. I finally found the one, the one bed that had not only given me the ability to feel relaxed and comfortable but i SLEEP. This is a big deal to me ,as i can sometimes go several night without any. The bed mattress exterior in a lovely soft light padding, and although the mattress is class as soft its still firm enough, that it allows my spine the correct position. I feel the mattress almost cuddles me up as i sink in to it . I also got it at a slightly reduced price in the sale. Thank you Dreams so much.

The most comfortable mattress i have ever slept on,... If your significant other is actually a human hot water bottle and you enjoy the cool side of the pillow then this is the mattress for you, Disclaimer: If you actually have to get up in the morning and go about your business then i wouldn't recommend it as it is far too comfortable and before you know it you have slept through all of your alarms and might as well go back to bed and wait for tomorrow to try again.

I tried a few different mattresses in my local store and chose this one, partly due to the price jump to the next one up which I did prefer but didnt think I could stretch to. Ive now had it for almost 2 months and have been diligently turning it once a week (the instructions say to do that for the first 3 months!!). At first I regretted my choice because it was too hard, but Id read some reviews that said it takes a few weeks to soften a bit, so Ive persevered. I do sometimes wake up with lower back ache, which I didnt have with my old mattress (which was only replaced because I needed a bigger bed and I couldnt get the same mattress any more). The other gripe with it for me is that I feel every movement my partner makes - Im a light sleeper so that really affects me. My previous, softer, mattress wasnt as bad for that. Again, Im hoping with time that gets better. If it doesnt then Ill have to choose between changing the mattress or turfing my partner out (lol).

This was an upgrade from a cheap online mattress bought over a year ago that became very lumpy very quickly. I did the sleep analysis bed in store and this was one of the mattress recommended to me by the programme. I tried out several but this really seemed to feel 'right' to me, the top cool foam is soft and cushioning whilst the underlying sprung mattress is firm, a really comfortable combination. There are no tufts (that I can feel) so nothing to dig in. The foam moulds around you, supporting every part of you so that weight is evenly distributed, but unlike previous memory foam mattresses I've had it isn't too hot or sticky! I ended up spending more than I wanted to on a mattress, but it has been worth every penny, I no longer wake up constantly in the night and am getting a much deeper and less interrupted night's sleep. Absolutely worth the expense!

Having had this mattress for a few weeks, I can now give an honest review. We went to Dreams and had a mattress fitting. I was somewhat sceptical about the whole process, but we were given a list of about 4 mattresses to try. All seemed comfortable enough, my wife favoured one and I preferred a different one. Obviously, we went with the one she liked! This has proven to be a great decision, our new mattress is probably the most comfortable Ive ever slept on. Delivery was perfect, all to schedule and the delivery guys were efficient and took care to avoid getting any dirt in the house. We bought this a couple of weeks ago and have been pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it is! When in the shop we were taken through to use the sleep match scanning machine where, although it felt a bit strange, the sales lady was very good at explaining what would happen. She was very knowledgable and not pushy salesperson. Once we made our choice payment and delivery were dealt with professionally. Delivery times were given promptly and reminder sent a couple of days previous to delivery. Furthermore a call was given to advise approximate time of delivery on the day. The mattress is very comfortable and keeps a cool temperature due to the gel in it. It is perfect for us.

We went in the store to 'look' around. Tried the sleep thing with some gentle (not at all pushy) help from staff and then tried out three options, we felt no pressure to buy and not in the slightest silly considering we were trying different mattresses out. When we settled on this one I was fairly nervous as I have hip problems that can be exacerbated by mattresses that are too soft or firm but we've had this mattress a month now and I've been sleeping better than ever before! Perfect amount of support while still feeling cozy and cuddly. I would recommend it to anyone because the price compared to some of the others in store makes it an absolute steal!

I had to undertake the boring task of finding a new mattress after not being satisfied with some Emma ones we ordered. Dreams were great with helping us figure out what we wanted and giving us options. We ended up buying this mattress as it gives a good amount of support while remaining soft, and being cool to touch. And it has made a huge difference! I find this mattress really comfortable, easy to get to sleep on and it keeps you at the right temperature all night. As someone who sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night all sweaty, this mattress has helped to reduce that and make it all less intense. I would definitely recommend it!

We tested it out in store and were really impressed. The price was around 800 ish and believe me when I say it was worth every penny. The guy we dealt with in store was incredibly helpful! The first night sleeping on it was the best nights sleep wed had in months. Its a medium mattress and sort of moulds to you whilst you sleep but still supports you. My feller is recovering from a serious leg break (pins and everything - bionic man). Which really was what forced us into getting a new mattress in the first place. He reckons its nice not having Random springs poking him in the incision sites.. cant imagine why lol!

After being assessed for the best mattress for me and trying out a few in the Penarth Road, Cardiff store I then visited the Newport Road, Cardiff store to purchase the mattress as it was closer to my home. I was concerned about whether it would be right for me but I find it so comfortable I am now struggling to get out of bed in the mornings. I absolutely love this mattress and no longer feel my back curving when I sleep on my front and no longer get a dead arm/hand lying on my side. This mattress was delivered 2 weeks ago to replace a new one recently bought from elsewhere. This is a lovely mattress, soft but supportive, firm but not hard, everything we looked for. Some softer mattresses almost give way when you lie on them or sit on the side - not this one. But at the same time it is not firm or hard - we specifically avoided those mattresses. All in all it gives a great night's sleep. Perhaps because of the 'actigel' the mattress did give off a smell for over a week. It has now worn off and we were reassured by Dreams that the smell was not harmful. We're glad we stuck with it.

We attended the Hull branch of Dreams to purchase a mattress. We found the staff friendly and approachable, especially Dan who helped us use the sleep match to find the most comfortable mattress. The store was covid safe and we found the shopping experience to be relaxed and easy. The purchase of the mattress was straightforward, we ordered from Dan by telephoning the next day and the confirmation and delivery were exactly as promised. We spent a little more than we wanted to but that's probably not unusual ..... we were treated to the sleep diagnostic experience and this was one of the possibles suggested as a result. Decided to take the plunge as sore bits'n'pieces on waking was starting to take it's toll. Thus far (two weeks in) we are pleasantly surprised at the difference its made to our sleeping .... the cool surface is lovely and achey joints don't seem so troublesome. Slightly early maybe, to claim total success but well on the way we think .... hopefully the extra will be worth it in the long run.

After years of disturbed sleep, fatigue and frequent lower back and hip pain, I have enjoyed sleeping around 6 hours continuously and woken up to comfort in my hips and back. Weve had our new frame and mattress for almost 2 weeks now and what a difference it has made to our quality of sleep! I used to wake up with a few odd aches and pains and I thought it was due to the way I was sleeping. I spent alot of time choosing this mattress. I suffer with night sweats and often wake in the night alot so the actigel feature was really important. Unfortunately I don't feel it's worth the month spent. Not only do I seem to be sweating more than my previous mattress for some reason all of my double fitted sheets do not fit the mattress. I raised this issue with customer services and was told it's clearly my sheets and not the mattress which is ridiculous... I should have just listened to other people and bought a mattress cheaper and saved my money!

The service from the assistant at Dreams was outstanding. I am very pleased with the mattress and with help and advice from the assistant I chose the mattress to suit my needs. The machine they use to assist the customers needs on position,weight and comfort is very accurate in giving the type of mattress needed. Ordered this mattress four weeks ago, was happy it arrived seven days later as our old mattress was broken and needed urgent replacing. The mattress is firm at first and took some getting used to, but now find it comfortable three weeks on. It is very thick, and a snug fit on our bed despite being the correct measurements for a standard double. I like this as it means the cover doesn't slip off in the night! It arrived in the midst of the heatwave and is actually cooler than our previous mattress thanks to the gel layer as advertised.

We've had our mattress for over a fortnight now. We decided to purchase a new one because as my pregnancy progressed, my hips and back were causing me real discomfort during the night and I'd spend hours tossing and turning. Took delivery of new TheraPur AntiGel Polar Mattress on 2nd August. Its very comfortable and I can feel the cool effects. However after just a couple of nights, it showed a slight dip where I'm sleeping. As it's single size, I can only move so far on the mattress. I'm only just over 8 stone, so shouldn't be too heavy for it. I've turned it top to bottom as advised after 2 weeks, so will be watching closely to see how it behaves. It is comfortable, so don't really want the hassle of changing it!!!

I recently bought one of those mattresses from the tv but had to return it. It caused my back and hip pains to get worse. I spoke to a dreams advisor and ordered a mattress through them. The mattress is softer and I no longer wake through the night with pains in my hip and back. I am very pleased with it. i didnt realise that your weight also has an impact on whether a mattress is suitable for you. Memory foam wasn't good for me. I didnt sink into it at all. But this gel mattress is much better.

We have only had the mattress for coming on 2 weeks, but we are loving it, getting a great nights sleep, we were advised to turn it around so it gets an all over use and keeps it level, we have noticed it has risen at the bottom end. The staff at the Barnstaple store were great very helpful, Sophie who dealt with us was very knowledgeable, and couldnt do enough to help us make up our minds about the type of mattress which would be best for our way of sleeping. My husband and I bought the TheraPur Actigel Rejuvenate 800 mattress due to our ongoing health problems. My husband has back problems and I have hip arthritis which results in frequent sleepless nights for us both. Desperately needed a new matress as my okd one was years old and had dips in! I was also getting a bad back which i had put diwm to old age! My last couple of mattresses have been memory foam ones because previous sprung ones felt uncomfortable. This mattress, however feels like sleeping on a cloud. I have arthritic knees and my previous mattress didnt seem to have enough support. This one is firm enough for support and has a soft and cosy feel. Love it! I bought this mattress as I was experiencing sore hips from my current mattress albeit not that old. After years of using the same old mattress, I decided it was time to purchase a brand new one. From choosing, purchasing to delivery the whole process was quick and easy. As to the mattress itself, Ive never had a better night sleep. compared to a typical spring mattress (like I had before) the combination mattress. Was like sleeping on a pillow air. We went into the Dreams store to get SleepMatch-ed as we had no idea where to start with mattress shopping! The technology was brilliant! We have had this mattress for some time and my wife really likes the support, however I find it way too soft. We also noted that the mattress does not fully recover and after only a short time the indents from our waists are a permanent feature. Hard to comment on the cool top as we have had a mattress protector on for the trial duration which does not give you any of the cooling effect. Overall a good mattress but for us we decided to change to a Firm one instead.

It's easy to lie on a bed in a shop for 2 minutes and declare it's much comfier than your old one but its another thing to actually have it as your bed and use it every night. We've had our new mattress for a couple of weeks now and after a night or two of getting used to it, we're both really really happy with our purchase. Ive been impressed with the new mattresses ability to hold shape and more by the cooling material, it feels a bit like excess heat is wicked away - which is great for me as Ill usually have the window open throughout the year. There is no comparison, they are light years apart well worth it, especially if your mattress is old and knackered.

I think comfortability depends on the individual. We went into a dreams store and got a body scan which suggested we looked in the category that this mattress was under. We tried all of them and came to the decision that this one was the most comfiest. It has cooling gels in the mattress that are supposed to keep it cool however after a month of sleeping on it. Its not as cool as Id hoped for. Price wise on the more expensive side. Worth it ? Hmmm

I bought this mattress because I wanted a fairly hard mattress but one that still felt comfortable. I have to say it took me about a week to adjust to the difference from my previous mattress but now it is the comfiest bed and I sleep so well in it. My husband feels exactly the same. Such a relief as its always a worry when youre spending a decent amount of money on something like this that you wont be satisfied, but it was worth every penny!

I bought this bed a couple weeks ago and I haven't slept this well in a long time. A medium firmness still feels fairly firm while supporting every part of me to a point where I barely move in the night now and I wake up every morning refreshed and ache free. This is a top-quality mattress from Dreams, made by Dreams. We tried a Tempur first, then a Silent Night, but neither gave us a good nights sleep. mattress is very good and although it`s taking us a while to adjust to it from our old one ?, it seems to be comfortable , the delivery was very good , and the two men were very polite and put shoe protectors on , all done very quickly and safely . only thing that now is upsetting is the fact that had we waited a few days longer before buying , we would have saved ourselves 200 , as it`s now on a sale price very annoying !!.

After suffering five years of boiling nights on an expensive memory foam mattress and then suffering from a bad back due to the memory foam losing its shape this mattress was heaven sent. I'm quite a thin, bony person and I was worried that this mattress would be too hard and uncomfortable even though it's described as Medium - it isn't, it's perfect. The extra benefit is that it stays cool. Sleep has now become a pleasure.

Firm and comfortable. The upper gel layer really makes this mattress a winner. It's firm enough that you don't sink into it and curve your spine too much, but the gel layer on top gives you a soft, comfortable bed that you can sleep on in any position. The gel layer does have a funny smell that I can still get whiffs of a few weeks later, but it's barely noticeable and the manufacturer says that it should go away in time.

I bought this mattress a couple of weeks ago following moving house and our mattress getting broken. We used the in store tool which you laid on and told you which mattresses were suited to your needs. This mattress is actually comfier than our last especially for laying on your front. The only thing I regret is not measuring the mattress depth as it is smaller than our last so does not look as nice on our bed.

Very comfortable bed, keeps me cool at night. Only downsiissue I had which was a bit of a stinger on the ordeal was commercial, right after I bought it it'd gone down 150 in value, and I was told by the storesman that you could claim any differences back in 30 days but actually the bed couldn't have been delivered, so few days after delivery it went down in value and I lost out on 150 savings.

We thought we'd never agree on a mattress - my husband a front sleeper and me, considerably lighter, sleeping on my side - but then we immediately enjoyed trying this one in the shop and have both very much enjoyed it at home for the last month! I spend a good while choosing this mattress and found it very comfortable in the showrrom. I get very hot at night and so was attracted by the cooling gel surface. The gel works well you can feel the cooling effect. However the mattress was much firmer than I expected. I'm hoping it will settle over time, I have been using it for 2 months and it is still a little firmer than I'd like.

We have had a history of back pain whilst we sleep and this is the only mattress where this is not the case. We went to the shop and they told us the ideal mattresses for our situation. So far, a great mattress. Had a great experience at Dreams trying out different mattresses and went back and forth between a couple. Me and my partner bought this matress about a month ago online after testing it in-store. It;s extremely comfortable, and supports my back well (I suffer from sciatica). It was a bit of a mission for us getting it up the stairs which was necessary as the current social distancing measures meant it coud not be delivered inside the house, but this can't be helped.

Very comfy and good quality mattress. Definitely improved our sleep quality. I wish there were some advice about mattress protectors though, as any help with heat regulation has been somewhat stopped by a waterproof mattress protector. The edge of the mattress took a little while to get used to, but once we'd slept on it a couple of nights it soon levelled out.

For a long time I woke up with bed related injurys such as a bad back, hips, shoulders and decided it was time for a change. We are very happy with the comfort and quality of the mattress but I think we were hoping / expecting that it would be a little bit more cooler than our old mattress. Haven't found much difference in that respect really. Only being honest. We'd still recommend it though. We tried a lot of them out in the shop and it was a clear favourite for our budget.

We chose the TheraPur Actigel 800 over another very similar mattress and it was a very hard choice. The ActiGel 800 has a medium firmness with a soft top layer, which makes it extremely comfortable and Ive had a couple of weeks of great nights sleep. Personally Id like the upper layer to be a little softer but thats purely my comfort preference.

Great quality mattress. Process of purchasing from start to finish was also great, the assistant was very knowledgeable and didn't press us to purchase anything and gave us lots of options. The mattress is medium firm which is great if you have back issues and doesn't move much if you're partner moves so you're not disturbed throughout the night.

Incredible mattress - Ive never slept so well. The mattress is slightly more on the firm side, providing great support, but the top gel layer provides such a comfortable feel. Prior to purchasing I read a lot of the reviews on here which gave me more confidence in buying this mattress, and Im certainly glad I did. Excellent value for money too.

Me and my cat both love our new therapur actigel mattress. Its comfortable whilst still being very supportive, its soft enough that I dont toss and turn with joint pain like I used to, but its also solid enough to be easy to get out of bed. Best of both worlds. In the shop it was my first love and here at home I love it still, the cat agrees.

I have bought a double therapur mattress about 8 years ago and was ready to buy a king size, I knew right from the get go that I was going to buy another therapur. This is a great bed. There was a problem with the electrics generally but Dreams delayed delivery until it was sorted. I am very happy with this purchase - comfortable and does what it says on the tin!
