How we tested
Of course, testing anything well requires a thoughtful strategy, and this Ottoman Bed Frame was no different. We took advantage of the opportunity to experience this bed frame firsthand at our local Bensons for Beds store. We spent a considerable amount of time trying out different aspects of the bed frame. This included everything from comfort of the design, quality of the materials, ease of assembly to functionality of the ottoman storage. We aimed to understand not only its aesthetics but also its practical benefits.
Design and features
The Snooze Nocturne Ottoman Bed Frame is nothing short of a style statement. It has a modern fluted headboard with a subtle winged design that effortlessly blends with various home decor themes. One of its distinctive features is an ottoman base, making it an ideal choice for those who require additional storage space. Upholstered in a selection of nine plush velvet and woven fabrics, this bed frame comes in a range of colours. Each shade turning out to complement contemporary interior design themes splendidly. Coupled with solid wooden feet in a walnut effect finish, the bed frame presents both stability and class.
Construction
While the design piques interest, it's the construction of the Snooze Nocturne Ottoman Bed Frame that genuinely impresses. This bed frame is available in three sizes - double, king, and super king. The fully boarded sleeping base not only provides a robust foundation for you and your mattress to rest on but it also significantly extends the life of the mattress. What makes this Ottoman Bed Frame even more desirable is the convenience it offers. When you lift the base, a generous space for storage reveals itself, proving perfect for stashing away those extra clothes or even spare bedding.
Suitability
The versatility of the Snooze Nocturne Ottoman Bed Frame means it can cater to different needs and preferences. If you enjoy indulging in lazy weekends in bed with your favourite Netflix shows, this is the bed frame for you. What customers thought
Owners mostly talk about how the bed looks and how well it is made. One called it 'extremely high quality', and another said the fabric 'looks very Plush and expensive'. The ottoman storage comes up almost as often. One owner called it 'a big bonus'. Several call the bed solid or sturdy: 'it's not slats but solid which really makes the bed feel more robust', one wrote. Lifting the base is where opinion splits. Some owners find it easy to open, while others say it is heavy with a mattress on top, and one found the gas struts 'too weak for weight of mattress sold with it'. Delivery and assembly are mostly praised, though one owner said the service was 'not up to scratch and bed fell apart first day'. Another reported a bad smell from the headboard that was still there after more than two months.
The verdict
The Snooze Nocturne Ottoman Bed Frame passes with flying colours in both form and functionality. Its modern design, range of colour options, and hidden storage make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to elevate their bedroom aesthetics and organise their space. However, like most products, it's not without a few weaknesses. A few owners found the base heavy to lift once the mattress was on, and one said the gas struts were too weak for the mattress sold with it. But, overall, for its style, utility, and comfort, we would certainly recommend the Snooze Nocturne Ottoman Bed Frame.
