A good nights sleep is critical to your overall physical and mental health.1 As a mattress reviewer with a passion for the bedroom solutions that cater to everyone's unique sleep needs, I'm excited to talk about the SleepSoul Heaven Cool Gel 3000 Pocket Pillow Top Mattress. A well-crafted mattress that promises blissful comfort, heat-dissipating technology and personal support, this is a standout product that deserves attention. The owners who like it call it comfortable and supportive. Where they differ is firmness: one wrote "Slightly harder than I expected", another found it "firm and supportive without being hard", and a third found it very firm and exchanged it for something softer, which fits a medium to firm rating with only 5cm of foam above the springs.
Design and Features
The Heaven Cool Gel 3000 from SleepSoul offers a combination of a luxurious pillow-top and a springy core, aiming to provide optimal comfort for its users. The design showcases two types of foam layers above the sprung core, creating an inviting cushioned surface. The top layer of the mattress is composed of 2cm of soft foam, which together with a 3cm layer of cool gel foam beneath, crafts a plush surface for a peaceful slumber.
What caught my attention is the gel foam's capability to disperse heat, countering the common issues of overheating associated with traditional memory foam mattresses. The gel foam also moulds to your body shape, providing relief to pressure points and improving comfort. From a construction perspective, the additional layer of 2000 mini pocket springs enhances the buoyancy feel of the mattresses, delivering breathability and extra comfort.
The SleepSoul mattress features a collection of 1000 pocket springs, each encapsulated in fabric, to enable movement responses unique to your body. This ensures individualised body support and helps minimise the disruptive sensation of 'roll-together', a common sleeping disturbance for couples sharing a bed.
Sporting a medium to firm feel, this mattress is perfect for those who revel in a supportive but inviting bed. While no mattress suits all, I appreciate the balanced blend of sturdiness and comfort in this particular model. The hassle-free single-sided design simplifies mattress care, requiring only rotation instead of flipping, with handy side handles making the task easier.
Mattress Comfort
What strikes me as unique about the SleepSoul Heaven is its blend of firm support, pressure relief, and pleasing aesthetics. The gel foam layer, coupled with the soft foam, offers a plushy pillow top that embraces you as you sink into it, delivering a huggable comfort that many would find irresistible.
The mattress's medium-to-firm rating provides a sleeping surface that's comfortable enough for various sleeping styles. This balanced firmness combined with effective heat dispersal can greatly aid your sleep quality, especially for sleepers who tend to overheat. SleepSoul seems to have geared its attention towards providing an optimal sleeping climate throughout the night.
Suitability
The efficiency and comfort offered by this mattress appear to be suitable for both side and back sleepers of average weight. Side sleepers will find the medium firmness satisfactory as it offers adequate cushioning for pressure points such as the hips and shoulders. Likewise, back sleepers can enjoy outstanding support to maintain ideal spinal alignment.
However, one potential drawback is for side sleepers with an hourglass figure, who might require a slightly softer mattress for optimal comfort. In my view, knowing your body type and understanding how it correlates to your preferred sleep position is essential when choosing a mattress like this one.

The Verdict
Overall, the SleepSoul Heaven Cool Gel 3000 Pocket Pillow Top Mattress has an inviting, plush pillow top and a competent spring system that aims to provide individualised support for every sleeper. The gel foam layer aids in heat dissipation and delivers conforming pressure relief, which many sleepers would undoubtedly appreciate. Also, the combination of regular and mini pocket springs makes for a mattress that's supportive but not stiff.
From my analysis, SleepSoul Heaven Cool Gel 3000 represents a fantastic value for the price. While I generally do not favour pillow top mattresses due to durability issues, the incorporation of high-quality materials in this mattress makes it an exception. If you are in search of comfort, soothing coolness and prefer a medium to firm feel, this mattress could be your ticket to heavenly sleep.
Keep in mind, the selection of a mattress is a personal decision influenced by individual comfort preferences, sleeping position and budget. Make sure your choice matches those factors for optimal sleep.
