Why our sleep experts loved it
I’ve been looking forward to getting my hands on Sleepeezee’s Cool Comfort Memory 1000, mainly because it’s one of the more popular ‘memory plus pocket springs’ options that also works on an adjustable base. When I tried it out, the first thing I noticed was that classic memory foam feel on top, you get that gentle ‘settle in’ as your weight warms the surface.
Sleepeezee's Memory 1000 Mattress is made up of 1000 individually pocketed springs, which provide support and comfort to the different points of the body. Pressing down with my palm, you can feel the springs reacting in smaller sections rather than the whole mattress moving at once, which is what you want from pocket springs. That said, 1000 springs is decent but not massive at this price point, and if you’re expecting a super ‘busy’ spring unit like you get on higher counts, this isn’t quite that.
This mattress is uniquely designed with a sumptuous 2cm layer of memory foam that moulds to your body for an ideal sleeping experience. Lying on my side, I could feel my shoulder sink in a touch, but because it’s only 2cm of memory foam it doesn’t give you that deep hug, so lighter side sleepers might find it a bit firm around the shoulder and hip. On my back though, it felt nicely even, my hips didn’t dip and I felt well supported through the middle.
The mattress is hypoallergenic and dust mite resistant, ensuring that it will keep you comfortable from head to toe.
Sleepeezee mattresses are made in the UK and come with a 5 year guarantee which means you can trust in the products ability to last. I do think 5 years is fine, but it’s not the longest you’ll see, plenty of brands are pushing 8 to 10 years now, so it’s worth clocking if you like a longer safety net. This is the perfect mattress for you if you want one that's supportive during sleep, but also gives you a soft feeling when lying down.
You deserve a mattress that will help you sleep cool and comfortable all night long. The Sleepeezee Cool Comfort Memory 1000 Pocket Adjustable Mattress does just that by combining memory foam with a layer of airy, breathable pocket springs.
One thing I will say, memory foam can still hold onto a bit of heat compared to more neutral foams, and with only 2cm it’s not a deal-breaker, but if you’re a proper hot sleeper you might still notice it on warmer nights. For me personally, it’s a good all-rounder for back sleepers and anyone who wants a bit of memory feel without that full-on sink, but I’d be cautious if you’re a lighter side sleeper or you want a really plush top.
