Edgemont Ottoman Wooden Bed Frame

The Edgemont Ottaman bed frame is a godsend! The space under the mattress is now home to several seasons of quilts and bedding. Loads and loads of easily accessible storage. Pulling on the black cord at the foot of the bed and the hydraulic whatsits make lifting the weight of the heavy mattress so easy. Once constructed the frame itself has a really distinctive look and feels like quality craftsmanship went into the manufacturing. Its a very strongly built item and I would like to thank my mate and his electric tools for the assembly. Kevin G52

Love this Bed, Second one I have purchased as they are just so good. Takes a while to assembly on your own. but really well packed and easy to understand the instructions. No parts were damaged in transit. Note there is a lot of packaging to dispose of due to the level of packaging required to protect the product. Bed is really sturdy and great quality. Space underneath is enormous. perfect for a small flat with minimal storage and space to slide out under bed draws. Price is reasonable but you can always want something to be cheaper.

So far I am very impressed with this bed. Ordering was easy and all that was involved in organising the delivery was perfect first time. The bed is solid and feels well made. Tools and parts to assemble the bed were clearly labelled in separate bags; diagrams were clear and easy to follow. I unpacked it and assembled it on my own (although 2 people would have been easier). Given the quality of this bed; the ease of the assembly; holes drilled in the right place; no bits missing; I would definitely recommend this to others.

Very stylish product with excellent storage space. However I knocked my shins on the bottom corner posts a few times which caused nasty bruising. We only have one meter of space around this area. Clearly the above picture shows more space than our room. My husband ended up spending 10 on amazon to put on foam brown bumper strips which seemed to have worked. This health and safety issue should be addressed. It is a shame that the end of the wooden base can not be flush with the end of the mattress.

A good sturdy bed, with easy to operate ottoman. It is delivered in a number of boxes that are extremely heavy, the delivery men left them in our hallway where we had to unpack each box and carry the individual pieces upstairs. Instructions were easy to follow and no piece were missing, in fact we ended up with some spare fittings (even after double checking we hadn't missed anything). Looks great in our bedroom. Looking to order the matching side tables soon.

Incredibly sturdy but comes in 3 huge boxes each weighing 45kg+ ( according to the box so strong floors needed! As it holds a huge amount inside. The build instructions are clear and straightforward for most people to follow but you do need to be methodical and probably better for two to do it- be prepared for 2hrs+ 2 or more definitely best way to put mattress on. One completed it looks amazing and the lift mechanism is clever and very effective

For the price tag you would expect at least the headboard to be solid oak; only once bed delivered (self assembly) that you discover how much of the bed is veneer. Only the 4 posts appear to be solid wood. There are a lot of sharp edges because of the veneer; If they come away we are not going to be happy. On a plus note; the storage is excellent. The internal frame and slats appear to be well made.

bought this bed as a set in store; the storage is amazing defo worth popping in to have a look;it came very well packed; the salesman did say harder to unpack than assemble he wasn't wrong !! looks amazing in the room and its solid as well; drivers delivered to our bedroom; the service was friendly from start to finish took about an hour to build so not to bad either.

Great bed and really well made with lost of space underneath - feels totally solid Was simple enough to put together. The only negative i would say is the use of lots of polystyrene in the packaging. It's great the bed is so well protected but I wonder if some other material could be used. That aside would recommend this bed and we're both really happy with it.

A really solid bed. It was easy to put together (You do need a helper to hold the ends in place). The storage area is amazingly large. Only complaint is the huge amount of packaging - I am sure a bit less could be used without compromising the safety of the frame pieces. That said - super pleased with the bed frame and the mattress.

Got it a year ago and it's a good purchase; solid wood and very strong yes the ends can a bit bulky but it's never been an issue in my small room. Gives a nice feel and looks amazing. The storate is the best. It's very spacious and able to store even after removing the slabs. Opening and closing is very easy to manage

Very solid frame and it looks great. I've recently noticed now I've had the bed a few months two little tiny pieces of wood seem to have chipped. These are so small that you could easily overlook it, however I'm keeping an eye on it to see if this is the start of things to come.

Great bed! Really pleased with my purchase and the storage space is fantastic! Bed is fairly heavy to lift up until the pistons kick in, but then its easy. I cant comment on assembly as I got someone in to do that.

We had a few issues at first with damaged base panels and wrong replacement parts sent BUT the customer services have sorted all these issues. The bed is amazing! So much storage and very solid frame. Very pleased.

Benson bed staff was efficient and helpful. The oak bed it beautifully made. The tempura matteress is dreamy & comfortable & firm, straightened and sort out my back, I have less pain in my back & hip

This ottoman bed is so easy to lift to access the storage area and the frame is solid and quality looking. More importantly, the bedding doesnt fall off as it does on some side opening ottomans!

This bed is exactly the light warm wood colour shown, which I wanted for my daughters room to ensure it was bright. The storage is great for her to keep her things and room clutter free.

This bed is lovely and solid and heavy.first headboard we received was slightly damaged but we had this replaced without any issues we just contacted customer services.

Had this bed for about 4 years now. A solid bed it is. Lots of storage. We are thinking of upgrading to the same bed but in king size. Highly recommended

Quite time consuming to put together and definitely needs two people for the job, but well worth the effort. Very pleased with the finished result.
